Always good when the pitcher helps his own cause. That one swing by Jake in the earlier inning looked like it could have been another HR swing, but alas...'twas a strikeout.

I actually think we have too much talent. If we put Happ at third, then where does Bryant go? We don't need all these young studs of ours sitting on the bench, it's pretty wasteful. We need a solid 9 + 2 reserves, that's really it. I really like Kyle and would hate to trade him, but to get a young stud pitcher under contract for years is necessary, especially since Jake is gone at year end. You're basically replacing him but getting to ride them both for a chance at the repeat.

Note, grooming Happ for third, he would most likely be LaStella's replacement, not KB's. I say we keep our arsenal~ 9/2 leaves no wiggle room/injury cushion. Stick with the trade's of the lazie's/DL prone for talent. I'm talking to you Soler for Davis They guys in the farm league that will be ahowing they can't be multi-position will be the one's who go

Schwarber day off~Jay leading off & Szczur gets a start. No shade thrown to Kyle from me but Jay can work that count and lets face it..can motor a smidge faster, lol. Innings that yield Javy/Jay could be very interesting*
*Just saw lineup..Javy up to 7 from 9 so that's gonna limit . Javy was connecting (no pun intended in the 9, it is his # after all) Hope his mojo doesn't get messed with.

I like your loyalty but we need a stud pitcher to win this year and compete in the future. I'd be floored if Theo doesn't make that deal by the deadline.

not saying he won't make a deal at all, I even said July will be crazy~I just don't see the #12 or#9 being part of it. I also think Theo would like to keep Happ. Candelario not as much.

Robin, you going to any games this weekend against NYY? Maybe our outfield can play in the Bleacher's when Judge comes up to bat NYY 11-0 and when the guy homer's, and he homers, a LOT! At 6'7" even KB going to seem short.

Miggy with the tying homer....he's on fire.
Lackey first pitcher to get us out of the first inning unscathed. He was fine.

Willy swinging at the first pitch on a pitcher who just threw back to back walks was just as big a mental mistake as Zobie's nap at 2nd.
Biggest issue is our bullpen just got burned up as the NYY are enjoying dinner. However, I'll take it~
