it sucks I saw his wife post this morning that she thought 2017 was a bad year First he almost loses his finger and now this. . He will prob insist he can still play (and I don't mean that in a snarky way) Just that Travis would prob tape himself up an say put me in Coach

I just watched the movie Get Out and one of the characters, Dean Armitage, looked exactly like Joe Maddon! Maybe that’s why he dyed his hair black ...

That's Bradley Whitford, right? Many people were posting on Twitter that they think he should play Joe in Rossy's movie, and not Bill Murray. Maybe Joe is doing his part to reinforce Bradley over Bill Murray? Tomorrow all his dyed hair will be shaved off..let's see what he does as it grows out

Yeah, Bill Murray can be hilarious but he would take the roll TOO over the top. Joe has a subtle delivery/way of phrasing things that I think Bill Murray would not quite get across.I also think KB should just play himself, lol

Have you seen Lost in Translation? It’s really a great movie where Murray is not crazy.

I did...I mean, I know he can play serious roles, but I just see him ad-libbing~however, as a huge Cub fan maybe he would stick to the script out of respect for his team? Maybe I am just flashing back to the Daffy Duck schtick he did during the 7th innning. Could have done without that

Well ... good thing they’re not paid for their singing ability.

I am the only one who is bummed that (1) WGN doesn’t have the radio rights anymore and (2) they now carry the White Sox? Ugh. I have to stream the games on the radio because 670 isn’t strong enough of a station.

lol...it is a bit hard to listen too but fun. No, you are not the only one bummed about WGN~ the Sux deal was just insult to injury, but I think Karma stepped in on WGN~ Cubs win the WS almost RIGHT after they decided not to renew

I'm not sure how or why, but there are several threads I've followed at one point or another that the DIS boards have stopped sending me notifications on. This is one of them. It's been long enough since I've seen anything, I was under the impression y'all had gone silent (like me) during the off season. I had to do a search to find it again.

Not sure if you'll think this is good or bad. Hoping for the former, but probably the latter.
I'm back. (well if I get notifications again).

Oh, funny story to relate.
We just got back from Disney.
I was wearing a cubs shirt and my daughter was looking at some ducks.
A guy went by in a scooter and I thought he said don't touch those.
Only after he was too far away for me to respond did my daughter say he said "Go Cubs Go" and he was wearing a Cubs hat.

DOH!

DS gave me a new flag for Christmas. It's bittersweet as our old flag has been thru so much and flew for the WS ..but it is really looking sad. We are waiting for the first regular season W to fly the new one..Hopefully March 29! In the meantime , I am flying my little garden W flag on W days
