I think Dan has the right attitude about talking to his lawyer to get this all straightened out. This should never happen again - where you guys are totally in the dark.

But I still would have let her have it!!

I think Megan will like that dress. :cutie:
I've seen pics from other people's cruises and most don't seem to have the kids go overly done. Some do, but I can't imagine those kids were comfortable.

What size is Megan now?

I just cleaned our Lauren's closet last week and several dresses are too small for her. Just a thought.

Howdy everyone! Still here and still pegnant! hahha! We at least nailed down a week with the Dr. Octboer 3-10th somewhere in there is baby day! We will find out at the next appt. which will be next week! :woohoo:

i'm a wimp with a capital W
i'm putting the electric blanket on for tonight.

we hit the high today.
it's now 64 degrees here

Oh no...I already mentioned to DH it's getting that time of year that we don't know if we should have the air on or the heat -- for that matter could be both in the same day. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

This is not going to make it any easier to get kids up in the morning either when they are nice and toasty warm.

This is not doing well for my Mother of the Year award. It was a little chilly when the kids went to school with no jackets (since I didn't realize it was chilly) and told them "oh don't worry -- it will probably be hot by the time you leave school" -- as I'm hearing & seeing it still windy outside. Oh well, hopefully DD didn't freeze too much outside at gym class today since she has it 2nd hour & has no sweats.

Next week it *HAS* to be nice -- my 5th grader is going to Outdoor Ed & we need perfect weather thank you very much.

Today DD was trying out for her Voices choir (jazz/show type fun thing) & of course she has this really bad cough that she has had for about 3 weeks, I called and she has a doctor's appt. tomorrow for it but that's not going to help much with her try-outs today (which she is probably doing right now as it's during class time and I think she's probably in 7th hour right about now!).

Then she is supposed to have Foreign Language Club today after school which we both forgot about so I'm going to see if I can call her on her cell phone after school is over & try to catch her before she boards her bus for home. Unless, of course, she realizes it & calls me first to remind me. I realized it, too late to call her this morning to remind her as it's the 1st one so she really shouldn't miss it. We were both talking about me possibly pulling her if I could get a doctor's appt., etc... not even thinking about after-school today.

DMM Are you scheduling an induction or c-section?
You must be glad the temps finally cooled down. I hated being pregnant in the summer.

Yep, bad mom for sure!!! :)

It was more than a little chilly, it was in the mid 50's!!

Both my kids got up and got dressed and had put shorts on. I sent them right back upstairs to change. ::yes:: And both were thankful that I made them do that!! :rotfl:

Bunchkin,

She's a size 7 now! Her size seems to follow her age quite seamlessly. I'd be happy to pay you if you happen to have a fancy dress she could wear. I still might order her that dress though or another one I saw that was similar for the cruise, but just not for formal night. I don't want her to feel bad if she's the only girl not done to the nines ya know! As an adult, I don't feel that same peer pressure and wear what I like and I'm comfortable in, but you know how little kids are.

I also just got totally lucky with that Bon Voyage line from Gymboree. That stuff was marked down to nearly nothing, most less than $10 a piece. I picked up a few things for her there for a song...

Yup scheduled C-section. Too many problems last time with Gabriel and then Emergency c-section in the end :) So we are doing the easy way this time!

The weather is AWESOME right now! We can sit on the back porch and not melt! The kids had a blast today!!

It's really nice b/c my blood pressure sky rocketed recently and the doc wanted me to start taking it easy, so it's nice not to get all hot in like 5 seconds of being outside!!

And the kid look adorable in their little wind breakers! haha!!

I sent Lauren and Nathan in capris and shorts too. (Kevin wore shorts but he is a big bad 8th grader so....) Dewain took them to the bus stop, where Lauren did ask for us to drop off a coat. I said she would be fine for the short amount of time they are actually outside. So, I guess I can be added to the bad mom list. I did, however, make Kevin take his under armour shirt with to wear at Cross Country this afternoon, so that should redeem me a bit.

piglet So you're just half bad!!! :rotfl2: ;)

My DD left in capris and DS in jeans. And both were wearing matching Pirates of the Carribean hoodies. :goodvibes
DS was shivering outside waiting for the bus. But he's all skin and bones!!! Sam can attest to that!!! :rotfl:

I'm so glad you were able to take advantage of that sale I found at Gymboree!! That line of clothes was sooooo cute!! :cutie:

I have 2 dresses that are fancy.

One is an American Girl dress. It's lavender, sleeveless and has a matching sweater. It has decorative embellishes on it. It's a size 7.

And the other one is a dress I bought from the Mona Lisa boutique in Palos.
It's a light green and white gingham print, sleeveless, with small pink roses embellished, also has a sweater which is white with flowers. I believe that is a 6x which fits on the large side.

If you want you can stop by and take a look at them.

Megan went to school in cordueroy pants, top, and her Tinkerbell sweat jacket! So, I'm good, but we knew it was chilly because we slept with windows open last night. Duh!

Bunchkin's little guy is on the lean side that's for sure! And you wouldn't think so because he has a very healthy appetite, but he must have a metabolism that runs at 1,000 rpm.

Well, Mr. Skinny wants his turn at the computer!!
Darn that Webkinz web site!!! :headache:
It's like cybercrack to my kids!! :rotfl2:

At least they DID have long pants on -- so do I get 1/2 credit or something. :lmao: :lmao:

*Sigh* I guess it's going back to "stick the head out the window to see if we need jackets or not" time of year BUT I will gurantee you when I think they need a jacket, the wear one and the it will be 100 degrees out oh at about 10 AM, so they will be broiling by the time they are off of school. For some odd reason my 2nd grader at least last year -- if he wore a jacket TO school would have it on after-school even though it was HOT -- the poor thing was sweating in the jacket -- I could never convince him to just put it in his backpack!!! I'm pretty sure it wasn't the teacher making him do it either. ;)

Tiggerrn Well you're not going to believe this but Tony just told me tonight that 2 of the houses he is working on is now in a rush to close......this is exactly what happened last year!!!! UGH!!!!  I'm hoping he will finish before we need to go because one of us will have to prepare for the closing on both houses.

So pack a bag I may be calling you to fill in....since you volunteered!! :rotfl:
Available the 24th - 27th.:rotfl2:

Sam, Kellie has a Jr. Bridesmaid dress she wore last summer and at Easter. I can't remember how tall Megan is, if she is a shorty like Kellie. You are welcome to it. It is spaghetti straps, sage green. Very pretty.

I so totally hear this!!!!!!:rotfl: Don't let Hunter get started on Star Wars Legos PC game on the computer either or that will be even worse. You'll never get your Dis time.

Becky, good luck to you DD on her vocal try-outs.
Donna, many thoughts and prayers for your DSIL.
Slo, congrats on your 11,000th!!:cheer2:
bigben, awesome job on your March.:cheer2: :woohoo:
Everyone else, a quick hello and a very cheery welcome to all the newbies. Need to run and get ready for the big PTO meeting. I feel  . I hate meeting all these new people and trying to convince them to come out and help.
Later.

Quick fly-by...

Thanks again, all, for the concern for my SIL. I will keep you guys posted.

My thoughts & prayers today turn to all affected by the tragic events of Sept 11...& I hope that the healing continues.

Have a good night, everyone!

Bunchkin ~ How old is your "little" guy and what are his stats? My Nathan (8) is pretty small too, finally broke the 50 lb mark.

I just spent my afternoon in New Lenox at Liberty Jr High for Kevin's meet.

Quick fly by here, too.

Donna- :grouphug: sorry to hear about the lab results weren't as good as hoped. Still keeping your SIL in my prayers

Slo- Congrats on 11,000 posts  :cheer2:

Sam I hope your stepson is on the right track. I have some cousins that were down that road.

Donna I continue to keep Mark's sister in my prayers.

I had a conversation with Alex this morning about appropriate attire this morning, also. I did think I mentioned if he got sick for our trip I might have to hurt him ;)

Mac You must be skin and bones to want the electric blanket this early. Or maybe your house doesn't get the sun to warm it up. Stay well no sickies for vac it's getting close :woohoo:

Michael You did an awesome job on your march  Very proud of you. You played fair and finished.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Cute family hopefully we can meet you and your family at a meet soon. Your wife is due soon isn't she?
