Bunchkin, glad you all had a nice weekend. What are you going to do with the fish? Or did they let them go? Last fall, FIL took Kellie and Kyle fishing and they came home with some small bluegills in a bucket. They didn't want Grandpa to put them back and they didn't want to kill them to eat them. They thought they would keep them for a while as pets.:lmao: I made DH take them to a nearby pond after the kids saw them hardly swimming any more and coming to the top of the bucket. Then I made the kids promise not to bring home any more "pets".

:lmao: That's so funny!!

We always catch and release. My kids have been fishing since they were tiny and have never asked to keep them. Lauren and DH used to go to a kid/parent fishing tournament they have near by every year. But Lauren lost interest in it. Poor Tony!! ;)
For his b-day which is the 19th we are giving him a fishing excursion while at WDW. :)

Last night on Fat March it was hard to tell who said what to whom!!! All that whispering!!!! Under Jamie Lyn's name it always says "military mom". I'm guessing her husband is military because obviously she isn't. :rolleyes1 Scandalous!!!! ;)

I just realized that I had started to post yesterday and then walked away from the computer to do something and Lauren asked if she could get online and I told her to go ahead and log me off. I guess I forgot to finish my post first!! Oh well!!!

I do that stuff all the time -- need to go away to do something with a post 1/2 done and then come back and think "oh never mind" -- since I had completely lost my train of thought -- in addition to others posting to the post so now whatever I was going to say makes NO SENSE. :lmao:

I found out Saturday that one of my teeth seems to be missing -- oh 1/2 of it. :scared1: So put a call into the dentist and ended up going for a cleaning this morning which I haven't done in a LONG time (we lost dental insurance and would take the kids in but I was last on the list so never got around to making me appointments) -- OUCH!!! That was a tough cleaning job she did but man, I definitely am going to have to remember to go in every 6 months. I know when I was on a regular schedule -- the cleanings weren't that bad. My whole mouth hurts from it now. As for the missing 1/2 tooth, there is a whopper of a filling in there anyway from my teen years, so since it's not hurting at the moment, made another appointment -- he's basically going to remove the filling, get rid of the more decay that is below it & then have to determine if a root canal needs to be done before a crown is put on or just put the crown on without the root canal but either way a crown has to get on there. Lovely. He really didn't want to mess with it today by putting a temporary on since it's one of those he doesn't think it would stay anyway and is afraid the temporary fix might make it worse than just letting it be until we can get in there and do the full fix since I'm not in pain, have no idea how long it has been like this, etc... figures if it's been like this for a while, it will be OK until the next appointment. That's what I get for drinking too much pop!!!! Bad, bad, bad. I had tried to cut back before but it didn't last -- too much stress. I joke that a lot of stress I've had the past few years with job/money situations, etc... doesn't come out in me having a nervous breakdown -- it comes out in my teeth falling apart! :scared1:

Always something in this house! ;)

Today was DS-10's first band lesson, so let's see how much he wants to practice tonight just to drive his sister crazy on purpose. They so love each other. ;)

I have a meeting tonight for DD's gymnastics team so YEAH...I'll get to find out her schedule and it BETTER not be any meets on Jan. 26 which is the High School Musical on Ice tour. I just found out last night that is Pinewood Derby day for the boys -- so I've had to scramble to figure that one out as it's so not a fun day for the little guy. I had to go ask if he could spend Friday night at Grandma's so that DH would only have to deal with the older 2 boys, both of which would have cars in the derby.

Hello to everyone!!!

Hi! I know I have been MIA, but I have been really busy! If you happen to have noticed my new ticker...bf proposed last week! I was so suprised! I was laying on the couch, in my pajamas, while channel surfing. He came down, got on one knee, and proposed. It was so sweet. I was laughing and teary-eyed! He said he thought about doing something more elaborate, but he could not wait once he got the ring. It is so beautiful, too! We are planning an outdoor wedding, in our yard, on May 31st, followed by a Disneymoon (of course!).
So, that's my fly by for now! Hope everyone is doing well!

CONGRATS PAINT!

Hi everyone  This weekend was long and short at the same time! Weird I know! Spent too much time in the car, i swear i'm starting to get car sick again and i hate that!!

Hope you all are having a good day! At least the week is minus one day

Congratulations Paint!!! I think May 31 is a *perfect* day to get married. ;)That's my birthday. Plus May is my favorite month (got married in it too).

Paint Congratulations on your engagement.

Michelle how are you doing? Still hanging in there?

Paint ~ Congrats, that is great news.

I've been reading, but in a bit of a funk, so that is about it. Went to Orland today to get my DL renewed as well as the plate sticker too. Just got back from Cross Country for Kevin, and now Dewain has Nathan at football. Tonight is Open House for the third grade, so we have that too. Celebrated my birthday yesterday (due to today's craziness) but none of them have said anything to me today. Know it is silly to be sad about that (since yesterday they sang to me) but still.

I hope this make you fell a little better. Happy birthday

Hello everyone...

First, thanks to all of you for keeping my sister-in-law in your thoughts/prayers. The surgery went well & she came home from the hospital yesterday. We are still waiting for the results of the pathology report...it upsets me that it takes so long, but I guess it takes longer since it was a holiday weekend.

Happy Birthday, Amy! Good to "see" you again. How is your mom? Did she cross the big 5-0 line yet??

Happy Birthday, Kirsten!!! Hope your year is extra-special. <Hersey, the picture you used cracked me up!>

Congratulations, Paint!!! Now you have all the fun of planning the wedding, and then the Disney-moon...any thoughts on where you want to stay??

Becky...I can feel the ouchiness of the tooth cleaning...not fun!

Big Ben, Bunchkin, Slo, TiggerRN...yep, I thought the same thing when I was watching the show last night...she said she is "in love" with him...to me, that's not just a hey, love ya, mean it friend kind of statement...so what's up with that?? Great job on the march, Michael!

SamIAm...we get a lot of bees in our area this time of year. I love September when it starts to cool off a bit..but HATE the bees. So that's my bug world issue!

Mac...thanks for the tv listings, as usual!

Geffric...so was it the brakes on the car? Hope you can take care of it easily.

Rose...we were almost at the start point for the parade yesterday. I have NEVER been so HOT watching a parade. We were directly in the sun, no shade whatsoever, and there was no absolutely NO breeze. Brian did not really have a "float" for his school. He used the back of a flat-bed trailer for the girls that were singing (that was a first to have the choir girls as part of a parade)& the speakers and then the baton twirlers followed them (baton twirlers also a first) and finally the kids that were in the band followed them. They use a Driscoll Catholic High school bus in the parades to identify themselves. They are a *very* small group (I think if he might have ten kids in the band..remember, private Catholic high school)...but they have a powerful sound. Mark & I went to the craft fair on Sat at Septemberfest...it always amazes me how many crafters they have! And, Brian was there to see the Pat Benatar concert Sat night...he said it was packed. So, we were well represented at Schaumburg's Septemberfest! :)

Everyone...have a GREAT evening....:goodvibes

Thanks for the many congrats! I already have my dress and the bridesmaids dressed picked out! That is the best part, right? Other than marrying the love of my life, I mean. Aww...okay. I'll stop, before I make you all sick!
Anyway, I am so excited about the honeymoon. Df has never been to WDW! Can you imagine? I would love to stay at Poly, he'd probably love to stay at AS Sports, but I think a good compromise would be CSR. I think he is getting scared. I told him we'd have to get the Mickey and Minnie wedding ears!:rotfl:

paint Congrats on your engagement!!!!

That's such awesome news!!! And a Disneymoon sounds super too!! :goodvibes

Happy birthday piglettoo. Hope all of us make up for your family leaving out the day of wishes.
Paint, congrats on the engagement. Have fun planning the Disneymoon. How AWESOME!!!
Becky, I feel so bad for you and that dental trip. I am very careful with my one tooth in the back. 2 years ago, the dentist took out an old filling and replaced it, but said that was the last time that could be done. Next would have to be a root canal.:scared1: I baby that tooth all the time. And every time I go for my cleaning, I tell the hygienist to be careful with that pick-don't pick anything loose.:rotfl:
Donna, please be sure and let us know how the reports turn out. Many thoughts and prayers still being said.
Hi DMM, Rose, Hersey, Joe, Slo, and everyone else. Hope you had a nice day.
Bunchkin, what a nice treat for Tony to go fishing. You going along? I could live a month at WDW and still not have had enough time to do all the extras I would like to do.
Well, better get to bed. Lunches to make in the morning.:tink: (maybe Tink will do it). Oh, did anyone else do the HSM wake-up call for 1st day of school? I had scheduled Ashley Tisdale to call Kellie and when the phone rang early this am I had forgotten about it and I answered the phone :rolleyes1 She talked so fast that at first I wasn't sure who it was and then by the time I realized and remembered, the call was over and there was no repeat. So poor Kellie missed it.:sad2: :guilty:

I did!!! You can schedule as many as you like, I think until Sept. 15 -- so you could go back and schedule another one! I did 2 of them. I did Ashley the first day and then Corbin the 2nd day.

THANKFULLY -- I had re-read about it somewhere and remembered I did it or I probably would have been jumping out of my skin for the phone ringing at 7 AM!! It's rare to get a call that early so I would be a bit on high anxiety level when I heard the ring. Not quite the it's late at night panic that would happen if someone called because then something would be seriously wrong -- the AM phone calls could go either way -- just a mom wanting to know if XYZ was happening or get a ride or whatever but still a "wonder what is going on?" type of call.

THEN luckily I happened to remember the day of about 2 minutes before it was supposed to ring or I would have spaced on it with all the hustle & bustle of getting ready that first day.

I need to be getting to bed myself -- that alarm clock goes off early & I can't ignore it as much as I would like to.

Paint- Congrats on your engagement!! :cloud9: :bride: :groom:
How exciting!! party:

Piglet too- Happy Birthday!! :bday: :cake: :rainbow:

Becky- Ouch! Hope you won't need the root canal, hope dentist will just put in the crown.

Donna- Yeah, I did see your DS's flat bed truck and band and van!
I was at the end of the parade route, as I live a few blocks from where the parade ends. Yes, it was hot! I was able to find a shaded area for awhile
and sat in the shaded area with Chrissy until the parade came to our end.
Then I was standing up the majority of the parade and took pics. Chrissy had one of those bags to collect the candy that is thrown.

Glad your son had a great time at the Pat Benatar concert :thumbsup2
:woohoo: I didn't go to any of the concerts this yr. I did go see Dennis DeYoung at Septemberfest last yr and the concert was SO great! :cool1:

DH, I, and my kids walked by the craft area on Saturday, about 12:10pm- 12:15 pm, on our way out to go home.(We are walking distance from the fest). Not sure if you were at the craft tents at that time?
We were at the Fest on Sat at 10am.

Hi to all!

Hello all! I am so done being pregnant, I can't sit or lay down without my ribs feeling like they are breaking in half  Few more weeks to go. It is way to hot outside to do anything with the girl's. Well just wanted to drop in and say HI.

Donna: mom hit the big 50 July 15, LOL. Mom is doing good, I don't see her anymore since I moved 3 hours away from Chicago back in June, but I talk to her.

Yeah - I can get on this morning!!! :cheer2:
I did not like the boards being down yesterday :sad2:

Sam - I'm so glad that Megan is enjoying school:teacher: and doing so well :goodvibes What a great way for her to start off her school year!!!

Bunchkin - How fun that you can fish in your subdivision. I bet the kids love that!! :goodvibes

TTiiggeerrnn - It was great to see you yesterday at the store!! :goodvibes Come by and visit anytime - I'm always there!!!

Becky - I haven't been to the dentist for a long time either  I take Stephanie every 6 months, and I never go myself. I really really need to go ::yes:: Were they able to fix your missing filling right away, or do you have to go back?

paint - Congrats on the engagement!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
That's such great news!!!! Keep us posted on the wedding plans as you make them - we would love to hear all about it!!!!

DMM - I'm glad you had a good weekend!! :)

Joe - How's the new job going? I hope you are still liking it :)

HERSEY - :wave2:

piglet -

How did you celebrate your bithday a couple of days ago?
I"m sorry you're in a funk  I hope you are able to get out of it soon.

Donna - It is upsetting when test results take so long to get back, especially when it's something life threatening :guilty: Please keep us posted on the results, and continue to keep your SIL in my prayers.

Rose - :wave2:

Amy - The last couple of weeks of my pregnancy I was frustrated and wanted it over too. For me, it was because I couldn't sleep due to me going to the bathroom all the time. I literally got more sleep after the baby was born:rolleyes: Hang in there - it will be over soon!

Well, it's time for me to get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!

We just booked our first christmas at Disneyworld. As many times as we have been there this will be the first christmas day we will spend there. DW will still be on maturity leave. She works at the Disney store in Joliet so getting time off at christmas is impossible. We are going to take advantage of the situation. We're going to spend 4 days(the 23-26) at Sartoga Springs. Then we head Vero for 3 more days. Where I get to see Steve Pfeister my trainer from Fat March. He own a womens gym and spa in Vero called Longevity. I'm so looking forward to that and getting my DW a couple of treatments. The kids don't know yet. We're going to suprize them with the trip. They've been asking when can we go back. Little do they know a bit sooner than they might think.

March On
Michael

What a great way to spend the holidays bigben!!! I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.
Morning all. Hope you are having a good week.
Sandy, good to talk with you and see you yesterday. DH loved the pix in the Mickey Mat.
Have a lot to do today. Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone. Kids have their follow-up doctor appt. DD has a birthday party to go to tonight so we need to get a gift, they both have soccer pix tonight as well, and I need to get to work on PTO stuff. So guess I'd better get busy and shower and get moving.
Later all.
