Slo- I am seriously impressed with how you address just about everyone in your posts! Enjoy Charlotte's Web. always a  for me! I am such a sap!
Hersey- Slow down! This is the weekend!
Becky- Thanks for the HSM info. We are going to go.
Debbie- Should you go to HSM? Of course!
chrismiss- try to enjoy your M Day! We are traveling an hour to go to a greasy spoon for bfast. My gma is 89 and can't travel. Oh well.
Bunchkin-Glad you enjoyed the ps grad! Ds' K grad had me in tears last year! His teacher put together a movie set to music. That darn music gets me every time!
I have spent the day doing nothing! I ate bfast (pancakes and pb cheesecake) and then took a nap. DBF, who is the best guy in the world, gave me a Mday gift. One of the things was a book, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, which I have spent the day reading. Another thing was the homemade cheesecake, which I have attempted to stay away from all day! I fear I may be crumbling...He also gave me Titanic, bc it kind of a joke that I have never seen it!

I am impressed how Slo, and a few others, manage to touch on so many of the other posts. I read, just don't always recall what I want to write, and forget teh "quote" all the time too.

Slo ~ I am hoping to get flowers next weekend and to finally plant a couple tomatoe plants as well.

Well, Kevin did not do good in his individual race. Still waiting to hear how the relay goes. We collected just over $80 at the lemonade stand. Not bad considering we only went through 54 cups. I did get sunburned though, just never though tot put on the sunblock that I brough t with.

piglet too :cool1: Yah for Kevin. $80.00 is nothing to sneeze at. That great for a cool afternoon. To bad it wasn't really warm.

Paint the weekend is my only time I can really clean, during the week it is just pickup. Nice mom's day gifts

Happy Mother's day to all, except Crissup insert Carol

I hope all you moms, grandmoms, aunts, godmoms, people who are like mom's to someone, have a great and wonderful day today!!!! :grouphug:

Here's my irritation with myself :headache:
I posted to everyone, and then when I wanted to close the window to the smilies, I hit the red X to close my post  So it is now gone, and I don't have time to redo it, because I have to get ready for church.

So...to everyone - I read everyone's posts and here's my response. HSM Broadway tickets sound great:thumbsup2 Yes, there's a ton of mom's on here:goodvibes I am getting excited about the store, but also stressed out  I want to see the Wiggles, when are they coming? Thanks for the compliments yesterday, and congrats on the $80 for the lemonade stand:cheer2:

I think that's everything in a nutshell
Let's hope I don't erase it now:rolleyes: :wizard:

Have a great and wonderful day everyone!!!

Hi! I'm a fairly new DISer subscribing to this thread. I'm from Hobart, Indiana, it's about 50 miles SE of Chicago. We just went on a 7 day WC cruise on the Magic in January, so I'm not sure when I'll be sailing again :sad1: And we don't actually have our next trip to WDW planned yet, but I'm sure it will be in the next year because we can't go a year without a Disney Fix!! It would be great to meet some other DISer's from this area!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there!! :flower3:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!!:dance3:

Happy Mother's Day to all the DIS Mom's out there. I hope everyone is having an extra special morning so far. I received a beautiful card from my Megan and yesterday DH took me to Oakbrook and I got to pick out a charm from Tiffany's. I got a little heart charm that looks like a lock to add to my Tiffany heart bracelet. It's very cute. We also had an early dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Really, how much better does it get than that.

So today, it's off to see DH's Mom and a little cookout over there! I wish I could see my Mom today, but she's in Florida!!

Big hugs to all the Mom's. Have a wonderful day!!

 :grouphug:

Happy Moms Day!!!! We've had a busy morning/afternoon. Now DD is at Grandmas for a visit and DS and DH have gone to wash the van. (Not before it needed it:lmao: ) So I am sorting the sport/winter accessories cabinet out and then going to finish some :laundy: Mom's work never ends.:rolleyes1
HURRAY!!!!!!:dance3: is OVER!!!!
Now we just have the performance ballet recital next Friday and ballet is done (for 3 weeks):rotfl: DS want to play T-ball, so need to get him signed up for that since soccer ends next Saturday. He needs something to do as well.
This evening I am going to relax, watch Survivor finale (I would really like to see YauMan win.) He is so smart.
:dog2: just stole a 13" softball from the sport pile I had going. He actually plucked it out of the cabinet. The ball is bigger than his mouth!!:rotfl2:
Luckymomoftwo:welcome: to our thread. Come back to visit often. We would love to keep hearing from you.
Better run. Got to keep going on my chores. Hope you all had a great day!!!

What a nice day I had today :goodvibes

My mom went to church with the girls and I, where all the mom's received a special blessing - I was so glad I was able to be with my mom for that :)

Then my parents, DB, and SIL came over to spend the day. We got KFC (we do every year) and that way no one had to cook. I even served it on paper plates so no one had to wash dishes :thumbsup2

Now the girls are playing outside, and pretty soon it will be time for bed.

I had a very nice Mother's Day!!!!! :goodvibes

::yes:: yep from me too....

has anyone had dinner at the japanses steakhouse at Epcot? DS#2 would like to add this to our dining plan. Is it any good?

If you are talking about the one where they cook on the table we go there all the time and really like it. It's NO Kampi but we always have fun. My kids love to watch them cook on the table. I think the food is good but I don't think they have the famous egg yolk sauce we all love!!!!
Last time our chef was a girl! That was a little weird!
It is being refurbished though but I am not sure when it ends.

If you are talking about the other place I have NO idea.

It's good, but I much prefer Bennihana's, Shogun in Naperville or Kiku in Naperville. I just don't think the meat in the Epcot teppenyaki place has enough flavor.

However, as was mentioned, it's currently closed for rehab.

The History Channel Classroom - Walt Disney World, Part 1.
(TVKirby note - This is the Modern Marvels show split into two parts)Journey
underground and backstage at the technological marvel that is Walt Disney World.
Enter a make-believe world spanning some 27,000 acres, brought to life by
cutting-edge technology. What was once Florida swampland now boasts the world's
largest theme park. The ride technology ranges from space-age centrifuges to
enhanced motion vehicles powered by 3,000 PSI of hydraulic pressure. And
hundreds of audio animatronics brought to life through the power of pneumatics,
hydraulics, and electrical systems. Walt Disney World is made up of four
separate theme parks, each with its own innovations: the 107-acre Magic Kingdom,
Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. The four parks are all
part of a megaplex of a resort. Part 1 of 2.

after all. (TVKirby note - The segment of the show is the last 5 minutes or so.
It is really just a short history of Animatronics. Lots of footage we've seen
before <Wathel Rogers in the Carousel of Progress programming harness, etc.>.
Segments are shown from all the parks and going back 50 years. Expedition
Everest's Yeti is shown, but commentary says it opened in 2005 instead of the
correct year of 2006. Lucky the Dinosaur is also shown. Worth recording for the
completist. Interesting, but not essential viewing.)

Then Steph will come home from school, she needs to do homework, and then she has dance at 5pm.

My next several days are looking alot like this one, but that's okay, I don't mind being busy :)

Have a good day today everyone!!!

Morning.. hope everyone had a great weekend. Beautiful weather...I do miss the grade school years when the teachers had the kids make a card and a gift for Mother's day.. I love the home made stuff the best.. now that mine are older, they don't do those things..maybe the school district should make it mandatory through high school to make your Mom a gift..

Thanks for the responses about teppanyaki..we have been thinking about add the dining plan to our reservations this july so we all thought about restuarant we wanted to try.. we always drive to WDW and bring a cooler full of stuff and the crock pot and i cook some meals plus breakfast and sandwiches. This year we are flying, so we are limited on the food we can bring. We have thought about renting a car for a grocery run, DH said he would take a bus to Walmart  , but the dining plan might work too.

DH was going to fix my dishwasher for Mother's day, took it apart and couldn't get it back togther right and working; so we went to Lowes and bought a new one. We were going to buy one and pay for delivery and install, then the more expensive one had FREE delivery and install plus 2 rebates. it came out cheaper to buy the more expensive one.. Go figure.. but it only came in stainless steel.. so it doesn't go with my almond frig and stove.. but ...:wizard: maybe if the money fairy shines on me i can aford to buy a new frig.. but they are so expensive...

Well back to work ..
