MAC I thought about you today.. worked from home today, so i took the boys to Culvers for lunch.. They had a chocolate volcano sundae.. it was YUMMY!! It has chocolate ice cream, M&Ms, Oreo pieces, chocolate flakes and chocolate sauce.. I was gonna get the turtle sundae but being the chocoaholic that I am... I had to do the volcano too..

Hi all- Happy Friday!
Let's see.... Yesterday the kids and I met up with my mom for lunch at Wendy's- by her work.
Today the kids and I stayed home. They wanted to be lazy. Chrissy didn't even want to get dressed til this afternoon! And I was kicked off the computer by the kids this morning and early this afternoon. Now I'm on the computer They know they are going back to school on Monday and Chrissy doesn't look forward to it

My old orthodontist in Niles- didn't know that was by you! There was a hot dog place called ****y's about a block from my orthodontist. Is that place still open? Haven't been in that area of Niles in about 25 yrs. I can't believe I still remember that place. Maybe Jedi knows,too?

Thanks for the link to the toy factory exhibit! When we went last June, I think the robot exhibit was there in the same place as where the toy factory exhibit was. Exhibits change every so many months.

Have any of you seen this?

I just got one of those ValuePak things in the mail (I assume others of you get that too) -- basically a pack of junk mail. I always look through it just to see if there are any good coupons, etc...

They had the Checks in the Mail flyer in there and DISNEY was prominent, they have a bunch of them. The one that caught my eye was the ones you can ADD your own pictures too. I think it's really cool idea, just not sure I want any pictures floating around on it (although I suppose you could use a generic location one too). I was thinking it would be neat to put a Disney vacation photo in there. It says it's an on-line exclusive so I'm sure you just upload the photo.

The picture is in the middle & you can have classic Mickey or Princess backgrounds with it basically. Although I just looked and it says starting at $15.99!

I usually get cheap checks because I mostly use them to pay bills anyway. I was thinking I might have to expand my horizons but that was before I saw the price. I still think they are really neat though.

Brownie meeting over.
Girls had lots of fun planning our annual Mother/Daughter outing.
And we made a fleece blanket for Project Linus as a Service Unit project.

Lauren just got into major trouble and has been sent to her room for the evening.
She is only allowed to play on the internet on the specific kid sites we have set up for her!! And she decided to search for other sites without our permission. She ended up going to some girls MySpace site linked from Radio Disney. This is so not allowed!!
Radio Disney isn't even a site a have saved for her in her 'favorites' to choose from. She is supposed to ask to find new sites and have me or DH with her to check it out and then we will add it to her 'favorites'.
So she's banned from the computer for the weekend. (Weekends is when the kids get to play on the computer, so taking the privileged away is a big deal here.) And I told her if it happens again the punishment will be more severe.
I also told her MySpace is not for little kids! I DO NOT want her venturing there!!!






I could use some Culvers right now!!!!

We had a nice afternoon yesterday.
The girls loved the Easter Bunny as normal
But the Easter Bunny was very boring, not very interactive. A statue would have been just as good, and no one would have known Oh well, the girls were happy and that's all that mattered.


Today I am really looking forward to meeting some of you at the show - it'll be great!!!! The girls are really excited!!!!

**I need to find an Easter outfit for me too. I'm going to put that on my "to do" list for next week. Both the girls have such cute outfits, and then I literally have nothing. The last several year I have worn my dress from my bridal shower (that was in 95) and I can't wear it one more time - it's so out of style that it's embarrassing

Becky - Thanks for telling us about the CSI Exhibit at the Museum of S & I. Kevin and I would really like to see that!!!

I had no idea DD wanted to see it (as far as I know she has never actually seen CSI the show!) so I was taken back a bit when we were looking on-line and she goes "OH....I really want to go to that". She does love mystery stuff though, so this does fit her personality. *I* love to watch Forensic Files and things on tv, so I would enjoy this exhibit too. Not so sure about the boys -- my boys are scardy cats & will probably freak depending on how it's set-up. She apparently knew what "CSI" stood for though. I guess my sheltering her has not worked....ah, them other middle school kids!

I'm just waiting until April to buy our membership. No sense in buying it too early since we have no plans on going until this exhibit opens but want to get it early enough that if they do a special night for members only, we can get in on that.
