Hi guys!!! :wave2:

I'm just killing some time while waiting to go pick Steph up from dance (which is in about 5 minutes)

I was busy at work today (just like I thought). MLK Day is always a busy day for us - alot of people are off work and go shopping.

Is it snowing by any of you?
It's snowing by me.
Not enough to be a big deal - but it is pretty to look at :)

Well, I guess I should go get my little dancer.
I made one of her favorite dinners tonight, so she should be happy. That dinner is Hamburger Helper Cheesy Hashbrowns - she loves it!!!!:thumbsup2

Well, I gotta run
Have a good night everyone!!!

Hi Everyone,
:confused3 The boards seem to be slowing down a bit. Maybe we are all trying to actually get work done or something…

Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh….

I hope everyone is doing well. I am just doing the normal day to day uneventful, running around. Minor stress here and there but nothing worth complaining about for now.

No news is good news, right!

BECKY..Highschool Musical Friday baby!!!!!!

I have gotten some more stuff done and will be heading off to bed.
Goodnight PALS!
Debbie

BECKY..Highschool Musical Friday baby!!!!!!

:thumbsup2 And DD is driving me NUTS...because she wants High School Musical on her cake but doesn't seem to want ME to do it. The only cake decoration I have found is on e-bay but I would have to expidite (sp??) it and that costs $18 - the item is $7.99!!!!! I don't think so! I was trying to explain to her copyright issues & why the stores wouldn't have it yet even though they have OTHER characters. It's just now making it's way onto paper goods (and I only found that by accident! She doesn't even know I managed to get some cups & I think napkins -- everything else was out of stock until the 19th. Good thing I ordered them when I did because now even the cups/napkins are out of stock too, they should get here Wed if all is well!)

She wants an ice cream cake, so we will be going to Baskin Robbins to get one but I don't know what designs they do, I tried to convince her to do a blank one & then I could put her name & stuff in "lights" like High School Musical logo is but nooo....oh yeah, that's right, she will be turning 13 (but not for a couple months!)...of course she can't agree with me to make things easier. :lmao:

I haven't looked at the weather forecast but I want NO SNOW or rain whatsoever on Friday...or at least only early in the morning.

What does everyone think leaving at 5 pm from Geneva to get to Allstate Arena by 7 pm on a Friday night? Am I pushing my luck with traffic?

Other than that I have been busy today finishing up the t-shirt for DD to wear under her dress. Believe it or not I had a harder time with this t-shirt than the dress!! I now have to clean the house in the next few days for Friday.

I'm so tired..... Kevin had a call to a 'working' fire last night and didn't get home until after midnight. Until that time, I barely slept, because I never can when he's at a fire (especially when the weather is cold or really hot). Then he had to get up super early for work this morning (earlier than normal). I shouldn't complain though, at least I was warm in my bed. He only got 4 hours of sleep - he's must be so tired:guilty: :faint:

Debbie and Becky - You guys are going to have so much fun at HSM on Friday :cool1: I can hardly wait to hear all about it!!!!!

Well, I"m off to get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Good Morning!

My kids have the day off from school today again. It's a school district day off. A nice 4 day weekend and they just returned back to school from the holiday break last week! :)

Yesterday I was sick. Don't know what that was all about but I spent most of the afternoon on the couch in stomach pain.
I'm fine now, thankfully. I hate being sick. And we had plans to go to the movies yesterday too, so of course those got cancelled.

slo How are things going for you at the realtor office?
I hope Kevin makes it through his day without needing to sneak a nap in! ;) :rotfl:

Debbie & Becky I hope you both have a great time on Friday at HSM!! And I think that the weather will be good....as in no more snow! :thumbsup2

jedi That's a shame that you had to work yesterday. I CANNOT believe that there was actually a library open yesterday. :confused3

Good Tuesday morning everyone.
Finally, kids healthy and back to school today. I can actually clean my house today. It is deeply in need of floor mopping and dusting and bathroom scrubbing. Don't know how much I'll get done before they get home.
Especially since here I sit on the DIS catching up.:rolleyes1
Bunchkin, hope you are better today-feet and all. Sorry to hear about your MIL illness recurring. That is so hard for the family to go through.
Slo, DD Kellie is 8 and she takes ballet. She would love to do HipHop also, but our park district doesn't offer that and I don't know how far I'd have to drive to get to a place that does. She is a born performer. DRAMA queen at it's best.
Becky and Debbie, enjoy HSM. I'm sure you'll have a great time.
So glad we didn't get the big snow here. DD and DS had play dates yesterday. DS went to a friends, and I took the 3 girls to see Charlottes Web. They loved the movie. Weather started getting bad on the way home. Roads were a little slick in spots. Glad to wake up to see the sun shining and only an inch of snow on the ground.
Sandy, did you get much of the lake effect snow or was it more east of you yet?
Well, signing off for now. Need to get to the housework. Talk to you all later.

Hi everyone!!!

I'm just killing some time before Steph gets home on the bus. Then we need to do homework, and then she's off to CCD.

Bunchkin - I'm sorry you were sick yesterday:guilty: I'm sure glad you are feeling better today:)
**Things are okay at the real estate office. If I had a client, they would be better. I went there today for home tours and then office meeting. The people are very nice, and I enjoy visiting with them for awhile on Tuesdays.
**Kevin is actually home now trying to take a nap (he snuck out of work early). But everytime he tries to sleep, his cell phone rings.

Tiggerrnn - I forgot your DD was the same age as Stephanie - you did tell me that before, and I forgot. It's so nice that many of us have kids the same age:)

Well, Kevin just arose from the bed, so I guess I should go fold some laundry.

Later gaters!!!!

Hi, guys...good to see the sun today!:)

Sandy...how are your mornings going w/your new exercise routine? I hope Kevin was able to get some sleep <and you should prob try to get some, too, since you didn't get much!>

Nicole...I feel so bad for you, you sure have had more than your fair share of not feeling well...

Leigh...I went to the Oslewski seminar when I went to a Disney gallery collector show awhile ago...it was really cool, it was all Disney! There is a store near me called "Flicks" that sponsored the show. On a different topic, are you going to Stars on Ice in February?

Hersey...It's good that Alex is open to trying out new meals. When they were younger, my boys had a fav meal...hamburgers & kluski noodles! Actually, I think if you ask them, they would tell you that is still their fav meal!

Becky/Debbie...hope you have a *great* time at High School Musical!

Kim...aren't you an American Idol fan?? It starts tonight! I really am looking forward to the new season, except I hate that they aren't showing House, which is my fav show, because I LOVE the actor that plays House...did anyone see him at the Golden Globes? He is sooooo very British! How *does* he manage to hide that accent on the show???!

JEDI...was your library busy yesterday? I would have thought that most places like that would have been closed for MLK day!

Hello to everyone else...hope all of Chicago has a good *rest* of the day!!!

Sandy...how are your mornings going w/your new exercise routine? I hope Kevin was able to get some sleep <and you should prob try to get some, too, since you didn't get much!>

They are going great - thanks for asking!!!! :)

I went and bought a new step-box today (I've been doing my workout tape w/o the box). So tomorrow I will use it, and I'm already geared up to have super sore calves by days end tomorrow (I remember that feeling very well). But that's okay - it's a good sore:rolleyes:

Kevin wasn't ever able to get some sleep.
After my last post, he had a EMT call, and he had to go.
I'm sure he'll go to bed really early tonight.

Is Christopher back at school?

Good morning I hope everyone is staying warm!

Donna I just read that Amazing Race and Lost start in Feb again:banana: Did you do anything special to those noodles? I like to saute cabbage and onion and mix it with the cooked noodles and put a little paprika on it.

Sandy I hope your not to sore today.

Nicole I hope your feeling better today

Debbie How is the organizing going?

Well I have to go figure out what is going in this crock pot today. Alex gets his haircut tonight. I hope his head stays warm without all that hair.;)

Kevin made the best meal last night. He made chicken w/ ranch tacos, and then were really yummy!!!:goodvibes He had them at Chilis one night, and then he copied them here at home - he did a great job!!!!:thumbsup2 I told him he can feel free to make them whenever he wants;)

HERSEY - What are you making in your crock pot? I'm always looking for new crock pot receipes :)

Hope everyone has a good day today!!!

Hey all. Where is everybody? The boards are really slowing down?
Hope you all have a great day today. Stay warm!!!
Lots of PTO stuff to do. Getting ready for Fun Fair which isn't until April, but so much to do for this fundraiser.
More of this:laundy: today too.
I'll check in later.

My nickname for today is "Sneezy" I don't know what's going on. I'm sneezing a lot, but I don't have any other cold symptoms. :confused3

I did not want to get out of my warm bed this morning! It was so warm and cozy :cloud9:

It's tooooo cold outside! :cold:

I hope everyone is keeping warm :goodvibes

:scared1: OMG!!! :scared1:
I was sitting here about ready to type when a helicopter just litterally buzzed my house!!!!
I jumped up and looked out the office window and there it was going over me!! FREAKY!!!! And it was soooooo low!!! And it wasn't a military one either. We get those out here frequently.

Ok, now that I'm really awake....... :rotfl:

Tony had jury duty today! Grrrr!! Not happy about that....well, not happy that the only compensation he gets is $10!!! :headache:
Hopefully it will be a one day thing. He's so opinionated anyway that NO ONE would want him on a jury that was for something serious!! :rotfl:

Thanks to all who were concerned about me being sick. I'm great now! It was just one of those days! I think I had some bad food!

slo Let me tell you how our realtor snagged us! ;)
She was fairly new to the business. We were trying to sell our house on our own and she noticed our for sale sign. She just happened to live in the subdivision across the street. AND we had a HUGE banner for sale sign hanging from our deck which faced the street. :)
She called us up and was really friendly and non pressuring. We chit-chatted about real estate and such for almost an hour. And I told her that we were giving it a month on our own and that if nothing happened I would call her. And we did call her. And she was the best.
She drive around the neighborhood and write down numbers from people's for sale signs, well the one's that were for sale by owner. And then she would call them. She got quite a few houses that way. I know that it takes some courage to cold call someone, but I think that in that business it's a must.
What about cold calls coming into the office? Have they sent any of them your way yet? I became friends with our realtor, and I can tell you she would spend almost everyday at her office trying to rake in business. Whether it was making cold calls or answering the phone.
Mailers are a good idea too. Mailers are huge out here!
It's hard work, but I know you can do it!! :cheer2:

Crock Pot recipes
I have a few I can share! :teeth:

Take 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts and put them in the crockpot.
In a seperate bowl combine: 1 can of cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery, 1 cup of sour cream, and either a soup can's worth of water or chicken stock, salt and pepper, a little garlic salt. Pour over chicken.
Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
Serve with noodles or rice.

In a bowl take one package of Simply potato diced potatos with onions and mix with 1 can of cream of celery soup ( you can use cream of chicken too), one cup of sour cream, salt and pepper, 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, garlic salt.
Then I add diced, cooked ham. When I don't have any left over ham on hand I buy the pre-diced at the meat counter.
If it seems too thick, I sometimes thin it out with milk or chicken stock, then re-mix and add to the crock pot.
Cook for 6-7 on low.

Hello I didn't end up making anything in the crockpot. I didn't think I wanted to eat as soon as I got home from work or wait until 7:00. I think we'll grab something out.

Anyway it's offical We are going to WDW 9/30-10/6/07 :cool1: :cool1:

Everybody here is sneezing too. I am sitting in my bubble so no germs get me :rolleyes1

Good Morning everyone....
Hope you are all hanging in there. Thanks for the recipe ideas girls...
I love the crock pot too! But don't you just love when there is a recipe that says ...
First roast the meat for 4 hours then take out this and put in that for this long then 3 hrs later add this then do this...
You are like give me a break! The whole idea of the crock is to put everything all in and let it cook all day so you're done right!

Hersey...things are getting more clean but I haven't gotten rid of a darn thing yet!:sad2:

Hey, I met a fellow Diser at the mall by my house yesterday. It was a lot of fun. It is always amazing to me when you talk with someone and then realize they live SO... close (Like KimRaye and I).

Have a good one.
I must do chores.

Debbie

We are staying at the Wilderness lodge. We spend a lot of time at MK so that makes sense. Now just hoping for better discount than though AAA. ;)

Speaking of living a bubble.........

Do you remember this movie?
