Good evening everyone. Not much time, just wanted to say hello.
Bunchkin, sorry your feet are still hurting you. Hope you can get some relief soon.
Mindy, great pictures. It looks absolutely breathtaking there. Glad you had a good time.
Sandy, good luck with your exercise program. Remember to stretch before and after. Helps not be so sore. Not that I'm all too recently familiar or anything.:rolleyes1 :lmao:
Debbie, glad you stayed healthy.
Mac, have a safe trip. Hope you enjoy your visit with your parents.
SamIAm, we love Disney Scene It here. Kids get mad. Mom wins too often.
:wave2: Roseprincess, Becky, Jedi, Paintnolish (nice to hear from you here again), Geffric, Hersey, and anyone else I am forgetting.
DD has been busy this weekend with the big ballet recital :dance3: The little kids are so cute!! You just can't help but get the giggles. One more day and then it's over for this year.
Well, better run. Have to finish :laundy: and get to bed. The alarm rings at 5AM and then I can't remember why it's going off.:scratchin As I start to doze back off to sleep, it dawns on me. Oh, yeah!! I have to work today. DRAT!!!!!
Good night everybody.

Mindy - Great pics! Thanks for sharing, and I'm glad you had a great trip! :sunny:

mac - I hope you have a good and safe trip. :drive:

LEIGH..I have actually been to seminars/workshops with Robert Oslewski (not sure of the spelling, sorry!). I have been to collector's shows where he has been, and I actually won a miniature he designed (it was from Bambi, and really cute)!

That's neat that you got to go to seminars. Where were those, at WDW or somewhere else? How did you end up going? And congrats on winning Bambi! :thumbsup2

Leigh - Those pieces they talked about on his webpage are for sale now at WDW. I didn't get them, because I have no where to put them. Naturally, Kevin really wants the one with the firestation, so I'm sure he will get it eventually:rolleyes:

That's a great thing to collect. Maybe I'll get them eventually. See, that's why you need a display room, like I'm going to make! It'll be the perfect place to put those kinds of things. :thumbsup2 (I'm telling you, poople think I'm nuts with the display room, but it's really something I need.)

I hope as soon as my tax refund gets here I may get a digital camera. The film for my camera is too expensive. It takes very good pic but it costs too much for the film and to develop.

You'll love a digital if you get it. I used to spend a small fortune in film and developing with all my skating pictures, but now I can take even more pictures than before for no additional cost besides the initial cost of the camera and memory cards!

Some bad news though: Mother In-Law's cancer has returned again, they are trying new drugs to help. I'm glad we are going to see them in a few months before heading to Disneyland. I fear that they won't be coming out our way any more. And we wanted the kids to visit them in their home. Usually they like to come out here. Lauren has been to their house in Vegas before, but not Hunter. They used to live in this area.

I'm sorry about your MIL. And I hope your feet start to feel better!

I did some more furniture shopping today. I'm about to hit burnout. I have a low tolerence for that. :rolleyes1 But I'm thinking I might get the bed I saw at Carson's, their furniture store. Has anyone ever heard of Shermag? That's the brand. It looks like it's Canadian. It has a bed like I want, with a padded headboard, and the bedroom set is on sale for the next couple of weeks. You can see the pieces here, if you're interested:

http://www.shermag.com/eng/shermag.html

Click on Our Products, and then Bedroom, and the line is called Paris. It shows the bed and chest, but if you click on Brochure PDF it shows all the available pieces. I don't love the silver pulls, but I think it would be better to buy the things that match the bed rather than to try to match it myself.

Leigh I have never heard of that line of furniture but it looks really nice and modern too. :)
We looked forever for our new furniture!! And we actually gave up looking for several MONTHS because we were so burnt out....and the kids were tired of being lugged around from store to store too!! :lmao:

Cathryn Hi!! :wave2: Nice to see another Chicagoan stop by!
Have lots of fun on your upcoming trip!! :yay:

What a great day to be inside!!!!! :umbrella:

I got 85% of the Christmas decorations done yesterday, and today I'm going to do the rest. We have so many boxes lying around, you would think we were moving:rolleyes:

Thanks for all the support with my fitness plans:goodvibes I'm getting more and more motivated, even though my abs are saying "NO MORE!!!!!":lmao: Kevin said that there's a place here in NW Indiana that specializes in running, and can help me with an insert for my shoes. We'll go one weekend soon to check them out:thumbsup2

HERSEY - You'll really love having a digital camera (if you decide to get one). It's so nice to be able to delete all the pictures that didn't turn out.

Rose - My MIL would never tell her mother about them going somewhere until a couple of days before she left for the same reason you posted. Try not to worry about what your mom will say, and just enjoy planning your vacation. :)

Debbie - I'm sorry about your arm still hurting:guilty: That was interesting what Sam posted about the Naproxen retaining some water - I agree with her about drinking more water, it will help ::yes:: I sure hope your arm starts to feel betterpixiedust: . Did the doctor say what the next step would be if it doesn't?

geffric - Good luck with your fitness plans too :) I'm going to check that website you posted later:thumbsup2

Bunchkin - I am so sorry to hear about Tony's mom:guilty: How is Tony taking this bad news? When is she starting her treatment again? I feel so bad for her!!
**I also feel so bad about your feet hurting you as much as they are:guilty: I'll send some more PD your waypixiedust:
**I'm so glad to hear about Hunter's arm - that's great news!!!!:yay: Does he have any restricitions with his arm, or can he go about life as normal? What I mean by restricitions is, Katie can't do many things due her arm being dislocated 2 years ago, out of fear that it could easily redislocate again.

Sam - Stephanie and I like playing Disney Scene It too ::yes:: It's good fun!!!

Tiggernn - Good luck to your DD with her dance recital this weekendpixiedust: How old is your DD again? Is she in ballet, or another type of dance? Stephanie is in jazz:dance3:

Leigh - I don't think your nuts:sad2: Kevin's basement is a huge display room for all his racing memorabilia, and its takes peoples breath away when they see it. Good luck with doing that - it'll be like your own personal museum:goodvibes

CathrynRose - Hi there :wave2: I'm so glad you stopped by!! Please come by more often, you are always welcome here!!!!

Well, I'm off to make some breakfast.
Have a good Sunday everyone!!!

Good Morning all!

I think it rained here overnight or maybe early this morning.
But those look like snow clouds over head! :rolleyes1

slo I hope there is something you can find that will help your feet for running.
My left foot was killing me yesterday, I could barely walk on it. I'm getting so tired of these feet!!
Hunter has no restrictions for his arm! He's good to go!! ;)
But that doesn't mean I don't get freaked out when I think he's about to fall and I'm worried that he'll break something again. I need to relax! ;)

rosemarie I would plan your trip and not worry about your mom's opinion too much. Hershey Park will be great fun for your family! :thumbsup2

I should go and get breakfast going too.

And Tony is out the door soon to go to my mom's house to work on the bathroom he gutted and is remodeling for her.

I don't think we'll go with him though. She's a little miffed that I didn't tell her we went away. :) Not everything I do is still her business!! :sad2: Oh well!! ;)

Hi Everyone,
Nice to see you all this morning.

Bunchkin..Sorry about your MIL. That has to be so tough, especially when they don't live close.:guilty:

Sorry about your foot. My DH is STILL miserable with his too!!!

WDW in June would be the first week of June so I was thinking the crowds and heat wouldn't be too bad yet.:confused3

Thanks everyone about your opinions on the Naproxen. I haven't checked my weight today but I just have to deal with it. I figure I have to give it a chance. They said the next step would be physical therapy.

Hi Everone else too!

Good luck with all those exercise and diet resolutions! We almost joined the YMCA but still don't feel we would get our moneys worth yet. It's $70.00 a month for a family memebership plus the cost of classes.

Good morning! If everyone looks quick it sunny out now:sunny:

Early this morning before 5 it rained ice here. I think we may go out to lunch somewhere but then it will be home for us early. I hope we are on the 2 inch side of the storm. Sorry if that means someone else gets dumped on.

I pretty much know the digital camera I want and it's not too expensive. I just need to justify replacing something that isn't broke.

Bunchkin I'm so sorry to hear about Tony's mom. Glad you all are going out there soon.

geffric I soo don't want anyone measuring my body mass.;) Good luck with the challenge :thumbsup2

Ok I have to figure what if anything I need to get while we are out. So I can veg out tonight.

Hi everyone!!

Just a quick note to say I survived DS party but BOYS ARE LOUD!!!! :scared: :lmao: I should add "barely" they were extremely wound up & over the top. They were quiet in the movie though but watch out when we hit the party room! What *was* I thinking assuming they would actually eat & that would take up time.

Anyway DD had a cheerleading competition yesterday (2nd place -- out of 2 teams. ;) ) and we are all basically exhausted now. She's zonked on the couch (she did a sleep-over too last night), the little one is asleep & I'm going to go take a nap myself now.

Hello to everyone, hope everyone who isn't feeling well feels better & I will try to catch-up on things later when my eyes aren't so buggy.

Hi all-
Praying the Bears will win! Let's hope they do! :cheer2: :cheer2:
Dh is yelling at the tv now and then, with the Bears playing- close game so far.........
Went out earlier to meet up with Don's sister. Hadn't seen her in a few months, so we exchanged small Christmas gifts. We are going out tonight for a neighborhood dinner thing.

Thanks Slo and Bunchkin for your encouraging words with my mother and vacation plans :)
Bunchkin-sorry to hear about your MIL's cancer is back:sad1: . Hope her treatment works and gets rid of all the cancer cells pixiedust:

Debbie- Hope your shoulder gets better pixiedust:

Becky- glad you survived the birthday party
Congrat on your DD cheerleading squad got 2nd place! :cheer2:

Hi to all our Chicago Disers :)

OMG!!!!!
ChicagoBears.jpg

Where's all our snow?????:confused3

This is now the second time this season that the news made it seem like we were going to have so much snow, and we didn't have anything. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled about it, but the girls are going to be so disappointed:guilty: They were really looking forward to playing in some snow.

Bunchkin - I wonder if this running place I'm going to visit could make an insert for your shoes to help with your feet. I'll ask when I go there and see what they say.
**I'm glad Hunter has no restricitions on his arm. It's so hard for Katie to not be able to do things:guilty: Stephanie was in gymnastics for a year already at this point in her life, and poor Katie has done nothing:guilty:

To everyone else - Hi there!!!! :wave2:

Well, I gotta run - I work today!!!
Have a good day today

WOW! Where is everyone today? :confused3

GO BEARS! :cheer2: :cool1:

It snowed a little over by me, and it was really pretty awhile ago, but now it's stopped. I'm hoping to get some pretty pics on my lunch break maybe. :goodvibes

Yeah, I'm a work today. Most suburban libraries are open today.

Yeah, I'm a work today. Most suburban libraries are open today.

Being bums! :lmao: I think our library is closed (hmm...didn't check, just assumed they were closed!). OK, just looked & apparently our library is OPEN today. Shhh...don't tell the kids they will want to go & I hate taking the 3 year old to the library (he hasn't learned the etiquette yet!). There is a dusting of snow here but no big deal really.

I am off to feed the munchkins soon, then get the little one down for nap, finish making DD's t-shirt to go under her Patriot's day dress & then....oh no... I have to actually clean the house!

We are having her friends over on Friday before we go to the High School Musical concert so I need to get this place visitor ready. :scared1:

At least we got the Christmas stuff put back in the attic last night, so we don't have so many boxes piled up everywhere.

I've just been surfing :surfweb: most of the morning.

:lmao:

Awwww - well, our library is "anti-etiquette" friendly. :thumbsup2 Er, if you're a 3 year old. If your 50 and screaming on your cell phone, 12 and going up and down the elevator with your friends, or 25 and jobless and coming in to look at "inappropriate material" on the Internet, that's different :rotfl2:

:lmao: :rotfl2: Ours really is too in the Children's department. It's never real quiet down there (especially after storytime!) and they basically have a play area with puzzles & stuffed animals but it's a nightmare to get the kids to leave the area, so to save my sanity, I rarely take the munchkin. I have & I usually make him stay strapped in the stroller, which can work for a while but if DD is with me, she's the reading queen & can take quite a long time to pick out her 10-15 books that she will turn around and read in 2 days! :lmao:

I love it, we go & she gets this huge stack of usually big chapter books and then a couple days later is complaining to me she has nothing to read.

So, usually it's me telling her "too bad, DS isn't going to last any longer" at this point he's fussing, pulling books off shelves and just generally driving me insane. :lmao:

Plus trying to keep my eyes on 4 kids is not easy...bad mom that I am, I usually just let the older kids wander by themselves & 1/2 the time I'm not 100% sure where they are in the stacks (they never leave the children area but sometimes I then realize -- OOPS! Bad mom! I probably shouldn't do that the way the library is designed with the little kid section and the "teenage" (as my DS called it when he was really little) section. After I have been engrossed trying to help this one or that one pick out books & realize I'm missing 2 of them who have wandered around picking out their own books.)

Give him another year or so & he will be just fine in the library!
