Debbie Let me know if you need my help. Just let me warn you I'm rutless when it's not my stuff :rotfl: . Seriously let me know. I'll stop off at Costco for the industrial garbage bags I use.

See...You are just the kind of people I am afraid of!!!!!!!! You just saying that gave me a stomach ache!:scared:

I'm kidding I let Alex keep alot of his stuff. He still has favorite toys he had when he was a toddler.

I just have one rule anything not played with or used in the last 2-3 years goes to the corner. The I sort in down from there. Anything I didn't even know I owned goes to Salavation Army first (since I won't miss what I didn't know I had) Makes sense?

Oh I hear ya! :guilty: My brain knows the RIGHT thing to do but then when I go to do it I freeze. My DD is 4 and I have never gotten rid of any of her toys yet. Plus, I probably have 99% of her clothes! Ridiculous isn't it! I am like the queen of rubbermaid! I am thinking of calling a local consignmenet shop. I really don't have a choice anymore. We live in the apartment upstairs and are running out of room. The place is just starting to look terrible (clutter). My Mom will only take so much with the basement so I am serious when I say that I have to do something!:sad2:
Debbie

It isn't easy to get started but once you do it feels kind of good to let go of the old stuff. Any way  I am the Queen of sacks of papers. I so far have 4 bags of shredded paper and I'm not done. Pretty sad isn't it?

Debbie, once you get started and put the sentimentality aside, you'll be surprised how much you can get rid of. I have a hard time too especially with Megan's toys. I think to myself, "Awww, that was her first Winnie The Pooh, or her first baby doll". Then I get all squishy inside and can't do it! But I find that as her room looks neater and neater and she can more easily play with the things she does want to play with that I get on a roll. I don't have as much problems with my own stuff though. If I haven't used it/worn it in a year, it goes!! The only thing I probably hoard is bath and body stuff. I love to take baths, so I have a "stock" of stuff from H20, LUSH, and Bath & Body Works. It's my one downfall... :confused3

You'll love the way your apartment looks when you are done and that will keep you motivated.

Speaking of motivation, I'm supposed to be taking down my Christmas tree, but as you can obviously see, I'm right here at the computer DIS'ing with y'all! Well, I better go do that. I think I'll put my iPod on my new Sound Dock and just jam to the tree duty. Santa brought the dock, so I better put it to good use to help me get motivated! Can't start off the New Year being all lazy.... or can I?

Happy New Year!!!

Yeah...I'm still here. Queen of PROCRASTINATION! That's me! I keep leaving to go do stuff and then the DIS just calls me back! Oh well. It is a lazy day today but tomorrow.... NO MORE EXCUSES.
Will you guys hold me to this?
Debbie

Hi everyone, I'm back! :wave2: I had a good trip. It was fun. We went to my friend's neighbor's house for NYE. All the kids actually stayed awake! Her DD6 hadn't napped, so she got pretty tired and crabby (she had a meltdown because her mom had brought the boys' PJs but not hers  ), but she made it and got excited at midnight. DS2 had stayed up till 11pm the night before, so we knew he'd make it with no problem, because he also had a nap. And sure enough, at midnight he started running around the house non-stop with a clacker, just giggling. It took a long time till he stopped! And DS1 stayed up, although he kind of looked desperate, like, "Why isn't anyone putting me to bed??" :rotfl:

They had the Bears game on, but around halftime we started playing Ms. Pacman. ;)

I had my first Build-a-Bear experience. We went on Sunday and the DD6 got a kitty, some light-up Sketchers, and a tote bag. (She already had an outfit that she had gotten for it that she had gotten for Christmas, and she used some gift cards she had gotten.) BaB has quite the racket going there. ;)

And at the mall I got my yellow Crocs for my Minnie costume!!! I got the dress off of ebay. It's fine, and was about the same price as on disneyshopping.com. Although the costume has a little flaw in that it makes me look more big-butted than I already am! :scared1: I did a search on here, and I think others have had that problem as well. It's the way it's made with the poofy skirt and the elastic in the back of the waist. I might see if I can do something about that. ;) Then, I got gloves and ears off of disneyshopping. They reappeared out of the blue and I got the set for 7.99!!! Great price! So now I just have to put red bows on my Crocs and get black tights and a black shirt, and I'm all set! Well, plus I have to plan my trip. :rotfl: Thanks for all the help and support on the costume! :thumbsup2

This multi-quote thing is great when you're behind.

Sk8Leigh..Hope your home keeps coming together nicely. Hope your still having fun at the VMK too. Still haven’t gone there.

I've tried to get some extras of Christmas things in case you do come on. It's a bummer when you've missed stuff. I didn't do the game from about July 2005 (shortly after it started) to maybe April 2006, so I missed Christmas last year and wanted all the cute things. :cutie: Oh, and the things I got from your codes were a Pirate Chair, 2 Hook Chairs (the best! It looks like the ships from Peter Pan's Flight!), and a Treasure Detector Magic pin (which brought me no treasure :confused3 I'm not the only one). Thanks again!

And thanks to everyone else who wished me luck on my house, and also on my trip! :goodvibes

Stephanie really wanted to go to the American Girl doll store to spend the money that's burning a hole in her wallet;)

My friend's DD got a Samantha doll for Christmas (that's her name, too :goodvibes ), and she hadn't shown it to me by this morning. So I asked her if I could see her doll, and she got all quiet and said that she didn't know where it was. :sad2: Her mom did not look happy. :rolleyes1 So she went to look in her room, and it wasn't in there. She said it was in the car so she did bring it home from Illinois last week. Finally she found it downstairs.

Hello all! The basement monsters did not get me, yet! I didn't get to the basement yesterday like I planned. My errands to longer than expected.

My Mom just told me I have until Jan 31st to clean my stuff up in the basement! I am doomed!
I have issues!
Remember.....inches away from being a hoarder!:rotfl2:

I have to join you two with the cleaning. And I am a hoarder! I'm going to have to move all of my stuff soon, and then my parents will be selling the house and downsizing after that, so a ton of our stuff has to go. Right now as the Christmas stuff comes down we're deciding if either one of us wants to keep it. It does feel good when it's something to get rid of, although it's usually just my mom's stuff that she doesn't want anymore and I don't want either. :rolleyes1

It isn't easy to get started but once you do it feels kind of good to let go of the old stuff. Any way  I am the Queen of sacks of papers. I so far have 4 bags of shredded paper and I'm not done. Pretty sad isn't it?

Are those like receipts and things, or newspapers? Because I am the Queen of Newpapers. I had a ton of papers stacked up in the basement to go through. I've gone through and thrown out most of them in the past week. I really went through a lot. Unfortunately, that's the main thing I got done this week. :sad2: And the papers just keep coming, every day!!! :headache:

Bunchkin - Your night tonight sounds like so much fun!!!!! Stephanie loves loves loves to go bowling!!! Hey......that may be a fun DIS Meet for sometime:idea:

That would be a great Meet! I love bowling! I was in a league at my last job. I'm not very good, but it's a ton of fun. :thumbsup2

just a quick HI to say I'm back from a wonderful wedding in LA.. it was great to see my family and ketchup with them. Also, I saw Snoop Dog at the LA airport.. more tomorrow.. I gotta go to bed and clean and get to the grocery store.. etc.

SLO- nice pictures, I love thier dress's.

My friend sarah is doing well, the medication they gave her to slow down the contractions seem to be working a little, they were 5 min apart before she was put on the medication. They want to try to keep the baby inside for a little longer.

Amy & Slo, those are adorable pics! Thanks for sharing! Sandy, I remember the girls Cmas pic from last year was also very cute. :goodvibes LOVE Katie Crashed!! ;)

Thanks for all the BD wishes for Matt. He just got home from work and saw them all - he says "thanks" :thanks:

I like to bowl! In fact, we ALL like to bowl. ;) Keep us posted. :thumbsup2

Back to school & work for Kelly & I tomorrow. :headache: Only a couple/few more months for me tho, depending on when boss moves his practice. :confused3

Donna, Dancing with the Stars is THIS FRIDAY NIGHT! :cool1: :yay: :woohoo:

Have a great week everyone! :wave2:

popping in to say good bye:goodvibes Stacey and I will be on the 7:30 am flight. Stacey doesn't go back to school until the 8th and she really wanted to see the Osborne Lights. It's a quick trip we will be back late Friday.

slo and bunchkin I hope you have a great time on your trips. The weather looks to be pretty good for the next few days.

Hi Carmen:thumbsup2

I hope everyone had a great New Years, I saw New York but fell asleep before Chicago's. I can't believe how old Dick Clark is.

I promise to check in more with the New Year, I guess that can be part of my resolutions;)

I've gone through and thrown out most of them in the past week. I really went through a lot. Unfortunately, that's the main thing I got done this week. And the papers just keep coming, every day!!!

I have saved receipts, old paid bills, bank statements. In the basement I found tax returns back to the '80's. I have stopped collecting magazine in hopes of me having time to go through to get that one article. I stopped that last year. I actually got better at not collecting magazines. I just need to not save every recipe I find.:lmao: Baby steps just take baby steps.

Amy I am glad Sarah and baby are doing better.

We like bowling here too. Keep us updated.

KimRaye Dancing starts this friday? I need to check out who the stars are. I hope the experts don't include the one that danced with Mario last season.

Well I go back to work today I better go get ready.

Well, here I am at 6am, no more sleeping in for me:sad2:
Stephanie is still on Christmas break, but her and I have to go into the frame shop today, and then I'm taking her to see Night at the Museum. Tomorrow is when she returns back to school. I was really enjoying her being off these last couple of weeks ::yes::

Debbie - Thanks for the compliments on the pictures and my sparkling Mickey mouse. The Mickey is what I always have in my siggie, but I remove him at Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years and replace him with holiday clip-art. I gotta say.....I'm glad that he's back:goodvibes . I've missed looking at him.

HERSEY - You are like a cleaning storm tropper - that's awesome!!!!
**Thanks for the compliment on the pictures:goodvibes

Sam - Did you get your Christmas tree down yesterday? I'm not doing mine until the weekend after our WDW weekend.

Leigh - I'm glad you had a nice NYE:cool1:
**What kitty did you get at Build-A-Bear? Did you get a Hello Kitty? Both of my girls have that one.
**I sure hope your friends DD found her AG Doll. If Stephanie lost hers already I would do this  than this :faint: .

geffric - Welcome home!!! I'm glad the wedding you went to was a nice wedding:)

Amy - Thanks for the compliment on the pictures :goodvibes
**I'm so glad the medication is working for Sarah. I will keep her and the baby in my prayers:wizard: Is she on bedrest?

Kim - Thanks for the compliment on the pictures :goodvibes
**I sure hope you are able to find another job real fast after your boss moves his practice:wizard:

NiteOwl - Have fun in WDW:cool1: Bunchkin and I will be arriving when you are leaving.

Sounds like a bowling meet is a welcome idea by many people :).
We'll have to definitly plan on something!!!!

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!!! :wave2:

 Slo: I didn't get the tree down and I wish I could leave it up a little longer, but ours is a "live" tree and it has to go really soon! I did get all the Christmas dishes and dinnerware put away and I de-Christmased the family room, but the tree still stands! We have to crawl under the house to get all the boxes out and for me, that is just killer. I have bad knees, although they perform just fine and do me great service, IF I don't crawl around on my knees on hard cement. Pure agony for me! So, DH is going to have to go and get the boxes -- I just can't do it anymore. Either that or I'm going to SportMart and getting a pair of volleyball knee pads!! So, I got a few boxes and I just couldn't make myself go and get the boxes for the ornaments and stuff!

I bet you are getting so excited for your trip! I know I would be so psyched to be going back. The only trip that I'm formulating for the year is to go to DisneyLand again when Megan gets out of school. We would definitely be able to go see Pirates of the Caribbean at that time and the new Nemo Submarine ride should be open by then too. And they will be completing the changes to Tomorrowland by that time too. I think I'm going to try flying Jet Blue out to Long Beach and just catching a cab from there to DL. Since I think it will be our only Disney trip this year, I am going to stay at the Disneyland Hotel instead of the HoJo. We will have a whole different experience this time vs. last year.

We had a great NYE this year. We went bowling with The Bunchkins and that was a lot of fun. You know Megan had fun when she starts crying when it's time to go. That's a sure fire way of knowing she had a great time. If she leaves willingly, it was just "okay". So, I'm guessing it was better than okay. We then went home and watch the Bears STINK UP THE CITY!! The only thing I was happy about was that Brett Favre won his last game. I'm pretty sure that was the last one for him, but I think we ought to ask him to play for the Bears in the playoffs because that's the only way the Bears are going to get to the SuperBowl this year!! The New Year came around and we stayed up til 12:30-ish and then went to dreamy land! I didn't wake up the next morning til 9:32 when my parents called to wish us a Happy New Year! Mom was shocked that I was still sleeping! HA! It sure felt good!

So, that's about it folks! Hey Debbie, you got those garbage bags ready to go yet?? :cheer2: I'm rootin for ya!!

Sam

Good Morning all!

Yesterday was super productive around here. Since I was up early I cleaned up my office!! You can now see the floor!:rotfl: I had been getting things ready for tax time, so the floor had several piles on it. ;) And since this is also the catch-all room, I got rid of or put away all the things that had been tossed in here.

We also took down the kids Christmas tree in their playroom.
And got all of the ornaments off the big tree in the living room. The tree is still up though. And unfortunatly, two of my Disney ornaments got dropped and broke. :sad2:
Looks like I might have to go buy more in a few days!!!! :yay: Shhhh....don't tell DH! :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

slo Hope you and Stephanie have fun at the movies. It was our intention to see that movie, but we haven't yet. I think I will take the kids tomorrow to see it before I leave and they are back to school. Let me know how it is!! :thumbsup2
Brunch was super yummy. I admit I make a good breakfast casserole. ;)
And I sent my sister home with lots of food, so she was happy. The girl can NOT cook if her life depended on it.
If I didn't mention it, and I can't remember if I did, Hunter's PT went really well. We can see a huge improvement in his arm. One more time tomorrow and that should be it for him.
I will be packing very soon, well as soon as I get off the computer. ;)
Nice pictures of the girls!! princess: princess:
Love the picture of Danika in the background too!! :) Can't wait to see what she does on her new team this year. :drive:

SamIAm Both Lauren and Hunter had a great time bowling. I was suprised at how much Hunter did bowl. Usually he becomes distracted, and I wasn't sure how long he would last with his arm and all.
I didn't know Megan was crying. Awwwww! :cutie: What a cutie! :cutie:
Dan is a good bowler! He gave Tony a run for his money! I keep telling everyone that he broke the M.P.H. thing on our lane. :rotfl: He denies it of course!
Lauren and Tony were begging me to call you guys after the Bears game to razz you all. You know to give you the big....HAAAAHAAAAA!!
But it's not like a win for the Packers meant anything in the big scheme of things. All though, like you said, it was great for Farve to win. I hope he plays a couple more years. He's only 37, he's can cut for a few more years.

Amy Please keep us informed about Aces!
Very cute pictures of the girls! They sure are getting big! princess: princess:

I should run for now. I have so much to do!!!

I have saved receipts, old paid bills, bank statements. In the basement I found tax returns back to the '80's. I have stopped collecting magazine in hopes of me having time to go through to get that one article. I stopped that last year. I actually got better at not collecting magazines. Oooh, magazines, I collect magazines, too. And I have to get rid of a lot of them. :sad2: One thing that I have a ton of is old Soap Opera Digests (and now ABC Soaps in Depth--I started getting that and just received my final SOD). I really don't want to get rid of those. The bad thing I have is TV Guides. I've been keeping those intending to use them to label tapes, and now I just have a ton! I want to go through them to cut things out, but I may not be able to. :rolleyes1 Am I scary?

Leigh - I'm glad you had a nice NYE:cool1:
**What kitty did you get at Build-A-Bear? Did you get a Hello Kitty? Both of my girls have that one.
**I sure hope your friends DD found her AG Doll. If Stephanie lost hers already I would do this  than this :faint: .

I think she got Tabby Kitty. On the web page there's a Tabby Kitty and a Floppy Kitty, but I don't really see a difference. :confused3 And she already has Purrincess Kitty, but in white. And she had the purple ice skater outfit that she got for Christmas. She doesn't have Hello Kitty. But she does have a gift card where she can get another one. ;) And her little brother can get one as well.

And she did find her AG doll. It was downstairs somewhere.

And your girls were so cute!!!

Whaoooo!!! That is scarey!!! I saw this show once, it was one of those decorating shows, and there was this woman who couldn't throw paper away!!!! She had tons of newspapers, magazines, clippings, etc.
She had TONS!!!!! Things she just "needed" to keep, but did nothing with.
:lmao:

My suggestion would be to chuck it all!!! If you haven't done anything with them by now, what will you actually do with all the clippings and such. Think of the time it will take to go through it all and clip them, and then sort them and store them easily for referrence. And THEN....you have to lug it all to your new house!!!! :lmao:

I have done the same thing with magazines. All though, I didn't amass a ton of them, I just decided one day to get rid of them. It was very freeing!! :thumbsup2

We just watched a Animal Planet show where this woman lived with 45+ cats and had so much stuff they could see any cats until they started shoveling out the house. That's what prompted me to clean out my basement. :rotfl:
