Hello Everyone!! :wave2:

I just got done watching Trans Siberian Orchestra on Regis and Kelly!!!! :cool1: Man they're good!!! I love them!!!
I bought a cd of theirs the other day at Target and handed it to Lauren and told her to give this to me for Christmas!!! :rotfl:
We have a Beethoven cd of theirs that we love! The kids love to rock out to them!!! :rotfl2: :rockband:

Hunter told me last night that today he wants to go shopping for his sister's Christmas present. :goodvibes I just hope he will keep it a secret! He's not very good at that! ;)

slo Sorry to hear that Stephaine may need to gets new tubes in her ears. Poor kiddo!!

jedi Your bird sounds cute!! What is it's name?

Sam Who names a bird after Cliff??? :rotfl2:
I don't think I could live in an area that never had snow in the winter, and had to listen to Christmas songs without there being a chill in the air. :sad2: That just wouldn't seem like Christmas to me.
When we spent 2 weeks at WDW during Christmas, Christmas day just seemed off a little bit because it was so mild. We felt out of place.

Debbie Good luck finding parking at Woodfield!! :thumbsup2

Kim Thanks for stopping by and letting us know your still breathing!! :teeth: :thumbsup2 Thanks for the button link too!! I hope you're doing well!! ::yes::

Time to fly!!!

I won't be able to stop by tomorrow morning because I have to be at that all day real estate class pretty early (I'm leaving right after Steph gets on the bus).

So I will say my........

"Good Wednesday morning" on Tuesday night :teeth:

I hope you all have a good day tomorrow

Thanks SLO...
Hi everyone. Busy da y....
Found great parking at Woodfield, ran around like crazy, don't feel like I accomplished as much as I could have! Oh well......time flies.
Hope everyone is hanging in there!
Debbie

Happy Wednesday morning! Time sure escapes me during this time of the year...I hope everyone is where they need to be in the "getting ready for the holidays" phase of life! :)

Have a good day today, Chicago!

Hi, everyone! :goodvibes

It's one of those crazy mornings at the library
I'm kinda having a bad day too because I found out DH is taking a big trip next month - without me. It's something we always talked about doing together, and it was mostly his thing, but still - we were supposed to go together :guilty: And to top it off, my mom is upset with me because she doesn't think I should be upset. (Does that make sense?)

SamIAm21 - I have an African Grey! I bet she has more feather than your Senegal, though. Baby (that's her name) picks her at her feathers :sad2:

Bunchkin - Baby is her name! We could never think of a name for her, so it remained Baby (we got her when she was a little ball of fluff - only 2 months old). OH! And Trans-Siberian Orchestra!! They are just SPECTACULAR in person!! I went last Saturday to see them. I would HIGHLY recommend you see them next year when they come to town! I just love the combination of classical and heavy metal. They played for 3 hours with no intermission!! And I've been kinda digging the lead guitarist  :rotfl:

Jedi It's hard adjusting to "single" life after being together :grouphug: Try not to let it get to you.

Donna So are you all wrapped and ready for Christmas?

Cliffy's not a picker/plucker, but I had a Hahn's Macaw for a while who was a picker. I did everything I could think of and the vet could think of to get him to stop, but he was a plucker! I finally gave him to an older lady who said he would basically be her baby and she'd give him tons of attention nearly all day long, so I thought that would be best for him. I miss Jasper a lot, but I'm sure he did far better there than with me. I was gone at work, I had Megan to tend to and Jasper didn't like that at all. Cliffy is very very independent and although he's cuddly, he can handle being alone during the day.

Jedi: I had posted and have edited some earlier thoughts and I'm sorry if you read them and they seemed thoughtless. I was not aware of your current situation as it was something you may have discussed when I was on my vacation. I'm very to sorry to hear about your current situation. In light of the new information, I think you have every right to be upset. I know I would be.

Jedi......My Mom would be the same way too because it hurts them so much to see us upset. They want us to be fine so that they are fine! I hear where you are coming from. Each bad day will pass.

Hi Everyone else.
Spending too much time on the computer when I still have a lot to do!

I didn't see anything as thoughtless :goodvibes I hadn't talked much about my situation at all. Just this recent post where I mentioned I'd been recently separated...
Thanks :grouphug:

I tried posting 4!!! times this morning and nothing ever showed up! I have no idea what was going on with the DIS this morning. But 4 times I hit the reply button, after retyping my post 4 times, and nothing was showing up!! :furious:
I was cursing like that father from the movie 'Christmas Story'!!! :rotfl2:

jedi My mom would also feel the same way.
It must be hard to see Toby planning a trip you thought you would go on. If I was by you right now, I would give you a huge hug and tell you everything will be all right and that it's ok to feel the way you are feeling.

I say plan your own trip, stretch your wings, go have some fun! Do something you've always wanted to do! :thumbsup2

hersey & Debbie HI! :wave2:

Donna Thanks for stopping by to let us know your still breathing!! :thumbsup2 :rotfl: Don't be such a stranger!!! ::yes::

Sam I still can't believe your bird is named after:

I was having that problem too!!

Thanks, Bunchkin :goodvibes
I'm actually thinking about it. There's a huge book trade show in NYC in May I have my eye on. It's for booksellers but Librarians can also get in, too. Publishers give out MAJOR giveaways at that show - lots of Advance reading copies and lots of authors giving autographs :teeth:

I'm just getting home after an exhausting day of sitting in very very very very boring classes. So again, I'm going to say my "Good Thursday morning" on Wednesday night, because I have to go early again tomorrow for another boring day of all day classes :guilty:

I'm sorry I don't have time to respond to everyone, but I have to get my girls to bed and than take some time to veg out in front of the tv.

Have a good night and a good day tomorrow

Good evening all. Well, DMom-in-Law was sent back to the hospital and is now going to have surgery on her thumb/wrist. When I was there Monday night to do her dressing change, I didn't like the looks of it and told her to have the doc look at it when she was at the infusion center yesterday to receive her antibiotics. She did as I told her and the doc came down and looked at it and sent her straight to be admitted to the hospital again. They are going to lance the area on her forearm tomorrow and try to do cultures on the site (doubt anything will show up after 2 weeks of high dose antibiotics-but whatever). I tried to get the surgeon to do tissue samples last week when they did the first surgery before all the antibiotics, but he "didn't think it was necessary". Yeah, whatever. Now here we are again. Do you think I sound a little disgruntled with her docs. Oh, sorry. They have the high-priced education after all. I'm just a lowly nurse-paid to do as I'm told. LOL!!! Ok enough of that rant. Dneice is hard at work at the Rehab Institute. We may try to go downtown Friday to see her and then take the kids to see the windows and do some city stuff. Depends on the weather.
:grouphug: to all of you in need. Seems like many of us are having a tough holiday season. Hope things turn around for us all. And may 2007 be a better year with lots of cheer.
 Talk to you all later.
Jedi-good thoughts and we're here for you.
Slo-sure hope Steph's ear feels better soon. Tubes are so uncomfortable for kids as they get older, but sure beat ear infections.
Mac- :grouphug: Have a good week with your other son and your parent visit.
I hope you all have a great meet Sunday. I sure hope the next one we plan is one I can make. Working every other weekend really stinks sometimes.
Goodnight. Going to go put the lights on the tree now so the kids can decorate tomorrow after school.

i just got back from MOSEFEST.. and will try and read the pages of news to ketchup..

:grouphug: Carman. I wish i could help in someway.

Good morning all!

Where is the sun today?? :(

My sinuses are playing games with my head today, again. Grrr!!! :furious:
Dizzy head again.

And I have too much to do today without having to feel like this.

jedi A book trade show sounds great! And getting signed books/autographs would be awesome!! :thumbsup2
I say you should go! ::yes:: NYC is fun! Plan on going to a show while you're there, like Mary Poppins!!! :smooth:

Tiggerrn Sorry to hear about your MIL going back into the hospital. What a hard time they are having. :( I hope that better times are ahead for them soon. What a aweful way to spend the holidays. :sad2:

slo Hope today's class goes by quicker then yesterdays! :thumbsup2

geffric WELCOME BACK!! Hope you had a great time at WDW!!! What exciting things did you do this trip??

Hi to everyone else lurking!!! :teeth: :thumbsup2

Hi all-
I've been so busy!! Just catching up on our thread now. I was supposed to continue my Christmas shopping today, but I guess it will wait til tomorrow  I did do my major Walmart shopping yest.
Anyways, we just had a plumber out here this morning for our leaky toilet. I did post a thread about it here on the CB boards this AM. I don't know how to link, but I'm sure you all can find the thread if you want to ;) We had our very rusted and corroded tank bolts replaced on the toilet. So far, no more water leaking! :thumbsup2 Called the same plumber that came out to our place last July, the same dudes that fixed our backed-up sink.

I tell you, it's always something around my condo

Bunchkin- I woke up to a migraine headache this AM. Hope your headache goes away soon :wizard:

Jedi- Continued :grouphug: and prayers.

Macraven- hope your having safe travels to your parents and to dropoff or pick up your sons are doing well :wizard:

Tiggerrn- Sorry to hear about your DMIL. Continued prayers and PD for her :grouphug: :wizard: I definitely can relate to the doctors thinking "they are better" than the nurses bologney  Even the balogney with other nurses, thinking "they are better than you" mentality. I had to deal with some of those issues when I worked as an RN a few yrs back
I definitely don't miss that aspect of work at all!
GLad to hear your neice is on the mend :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Slo- Hope you are surviving the real estate seminars ok and trying not to fall asleep :bored: Hope Steph's ears are doing ok.

Geffric- Welcome back! :cool1: :dance3:
How was the World? Any goodies your brought back for us? :teeth: j/k

Hi to everyone else :wave2:

Ok, have a good day, everyone.

Welcome Back Geffric!

Thanks everyone, for the hugs :grouphug: It warms my heart to know there are people are there thinking of me and wishing me well wishes :goodvibes

I went Christmas shopping before work today (I started at 12:30) and the stores were crazy - but only because they were understaffed!!! Toys R Us and Best Buy were both totally understaffed. There were only 2 registers open at Best Buy and the customer service was awful. I was looking for a CD (for myself :teeth: ) and they showed they had 3 in stock but the guy was just like "Sorry, I don't know where they are" :furious:

Grrrrrrr....

I'm thinking of hitting JC Penney after I get out at 9 pm tonight

Thanks for sharing that link SamIAm!! :thumbsup2

jedi 2 registers open at Best Buy!!! You should come to the south burbs to shop!!! :thumbsup2 Every store I've been in is totally staffed to the gills!! :teeth:
Good luck shopping tonight! ::yes::

Rosemarie My headache/sinus problems are fading. I hope yours is too! :thumbsup2

I just got done wrapping presents for the last hour and a half. :faint: Luckily, Hunter was playing on the computer so he was quite distracted from what I was doing!! :thumbsup2

I'm off to the grocery store.

Have a great afternoon everyone!!
