Good Morning..
DH is still in AFIB. I was hoping he would be fine when he woke up this morning. If he doesn't go back into rhythm by tomorrow then I am going to have to take him to the hospital to get "jumped"( a little Electrical cardioversion humor there). No matter how routine the procedure is it is still very scary for me. Plus, it is a huge pain to have to be admitted to the hospital for him. If he goes back into rhythm on his own then it is much more hassle free and then he will just make an appointment with his doctor. There is nothing I can do for him which makes me feel helpless. In fact it actually seems to irritate him when I keep asking him how he is feeling and what can I do for you. There is no way to figure out what makes it go out of rhythm when he hasn't done anything. There has been times when he kind of knew what caused it like working a night shift for a few nights with little sleep.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers and everything!
My parents plane got off this morning to Florida. Lucky them. One minute it's 8 degrees and when they get off the plane and it will be in the 80's! WOW!

SLO...sorry about your car troubles. Don't ya just hate when stuff like that happens! It's the worst! Can you blame any of it on ice or something? It is always better when you can blame something or someone else! :rotfl2:

Here's information on AFIB if anyone is curious...

Slo- Sorry to hear about your car and Kevin's car :grouphug: Hope Kevin isn't too upset about it. Hopefully won't cost too much $$$ to fix :grouphug: :wizard:
I haven't seen the Davinci Code movie nor read the book. My church did a 4 -week services on it last spring, right about the time the movie came out. My church pretty much taught that everything is fictional in the book and movie. I guess there's a lot of weird story lines in the book and movie with Jesus and Mary Magdalene  . All those story lines are not in the bible, so not biblical. A lot of secret society stuff, too- behind the scenes of the guy that wrote the book. I don't mean to be a debate, not trying to debate here :)
I actually wouldn't mind renting out the movie, so I can laugh at it, I suppose. Tho, I like Tom Hanks as an actor in general, not sure if I'll like the movie. Anyways at church, the pastors said just treat the book and movie as fictional only :)

Mac- glad your parents are ok and in a shelter :)

Hersey- you braved the craziness at Woodfield  and found a decent parking spot :thumbsup2 . Too bad I didn't know you were going to Woodfield, maybe would have met you there, but then we were busy yest.

Hi to all :wave2:

Keep warm everyone!

Hi gang!!! :wave2:

We finally got done decorating!
And just about the time get to cleaning up, DH makes a huge mess putting up our new chandellier above the dining room table.
Actually he had to stop what he was doing to run out to do something at a house he was working on that is closing tomorrow. So my living room/dining room is a total mess right now. Hopefully he'll be back soon to finish. :thumbsup2

slo I'm so sorry to hear about the family vehicles! :( What a total bummer!!! Usually something along these lines happens to us every year around the holidays. Something blows up, or quits working and needs to be replaced, or a car needs work.
I hope the repair cost is not too high.

I forgot to ask you where you and Kevin are eating on Jan 5th? If you already told me, I'll apologize now for forgetting!
How about lunch on the 8th? We can meet somewhere in MK. :teeth:

Hersey Wow!! A good parking spot at Woodfield is a find for sure!!
I hope you bought lots of nice stuff!!! :teeth: Go to the Disney Store?

Debbie Sorry to hear your DH is still in afib. (
Does he try to cough hard to reset his heart? This is something they mention in the hospital. Does he know what is cause behind his heart having iregular fibs? What doseage of Sotalol is he on? I was on the max dose and it was doing nothing for me. My heart was going crazy all day long for weeks before I had my ablations.
I see a electrophysiologist at U of C hospital. Here is a link to him on their web site: Dr Brad Knight
If medicine is not doing it's job I would seek a consult with an electrophysiologist.

Well, I'm going to get back to cleaning and laundry. Whooopeee!!

Hi everyone :wave2:

I'm finishing up some more Christmas decorating - lighted garland on the staircases :goodvibes Our house looks so warm and cozy - I just love it!!!! :goodvibes ]

HERSEY - Thanks for the hugs. I like what you said - I will use that, because I can guarantee that it will be brought up to me at the FD X-Mas party on Friday.

Debbie - I'm sorry that your DH is still not well :guilty: Sending loads of PD your way for him :wizard: Please keep us updated on how he is doing. *Thanks for your kind words. I wish I could blame it on something, but the only thing I can blame is me not paying attention. I was so concentrated on talking with Stephanie that I slammed right into the car. :guilty:

Rosemarie - Thanks for the hugs. Luckily, Kevin is doing alot better with this whole thing than I am - God Bless him  He likes to tease me about it, but that's it. I asked him how long he was going to tease me, and he laughed and said, "Oh, for a minimum of at least a month" :lmao: I guess I would much rather be lovingly teased than have him fumming mad.
**You should watch that movie - I would love to hear what you think. I believe everything in the Bible, but this movie really makes you think

Bunchkin - Thanks for the hugs. I'm hoping it won't be to much money either, but Kevin is estimating it to be around $6000 - $7000 :guilty: Luckily......the body shop we go to is someone that the family knows, and when we tell him we are going to try and pay this ourselves he won't give us new things unneccisarily. We are hoping that nothing will need to be replaced with my car (fingers crossed)Thank God I didn't break any tail lights or anything. But you should see Kevin's car - he can feel a draft when he drives because I screwed the door up so bad :guilty: It makes me sick just looking at it :sad2:
**To answer your question, we have ADR's at The California Grill on the 5th. If I remember right, you and Tony are going to be at The Concourse Steakhouse. We'll definitly have to meet up sometime during our stay. I can't recall what we are doing on the 8th - something tells me we may be in the MK that day before we leave to come home. I will definitly let you know :)

Well, I better go finish putting my little red bows on the garland, and than order us a pizza. With all this expense with these cars I probably should be saving our money - but I need some comfort food and a stuffed pizza :goodvibes will do the trick :thumbsup2

Have a good night gang

Yes, I agree with your pastor. As long as you recognize that you're watching a movie that's intended as entertainment, it's a good movie. It's not a documentary that's intended to teach you anything. Just like the Nicholas Cage movie "American Treasure" (I think that was the title). There was not really a hidden cavern loaded with treasure hidden by Ben Franklin and his cronies.

Yeah, the movie and book are just fiction.

Debbie - I'm sorry your husband is still having heart problems. I hope it stops soon and they can get it under control for good.

slo - I'm so sorry about your cars! That's totally something that would happen to me. I've hit the garage before. :sad2: I hope you don't get teased too much.

Becky - That's too funny about Mary and Joseph. :rotfl:

I've had a busy weekend. I went to the office for my townhouse yesterday for the electrical and structural meeting. I got everything all picked out for that, and placed the phone and cable jacks. (I got four extra cable jacks, for a total of 6--can you tell I love tv?! :rotfl2: ) I'm glad all that's done! Now my next steps are a pre-construction meeting with the supervisor on Friday morning to go over all my choices, and then on Saturday I have to go to East Dundee to pick out the design stuff, the carpet and cabinets and countertops, etc. The fun stuff. :thumbsup2 We went by the house, and now there's more than just a foundation. The frame is up for the basement and the balcony, and maybe a little more, can't remember. I took some pictures, though.

We were in an avalanche in our car...there was about a foot of snow on the roof of the car, and while we were at a light all of a sudden it slid down the windshield! :lmao: It was pretty funny. My dad got out to clean it off enough so he could drive, and people were laughing as they went by. Luckily it didn't seem to break the wipers.

We ate lunch at On the Border. It was just ok. I was going to go shopping, but by the time I got home, I was tired so I took a 3 hour nap! :sad2:

So I went out shopping today. I did my Toys for Tots shopping, and got some shopping down for some of my friends' kids. The Indy DS2 wanted plastic food, including pats of butter so he could fry stuff like Mommy. (He used to wear a scrub hat and say he wanted to be a doctor, but now he wants to be a Doctor/Chef. :rotfl: ) So I found him some plastic food with butter. And I got the Indy DD6 a digital Barbie camera. I think that once she gets over that it's not as neat a camera as mine  , she'll love it. :thumbsup2 She loves to take pictures with my camera. She's getting pretty good at it. And I got her an Ariel frame from the Disney Store that I'll put a picture of me in. She said she wanted something that looked like me. I was trying to find a Spirograph for another friend's DD5, but I've come to the conclusion that Spirograph is not that big anymore. :confused3 They were out, and I think it will be hard to find. So I'm going to try to get something else.

And I went to Wal-Mart and bought a calendar, and somehow got home without it. :furious:

At least I'm starting to get there with my shopping.

I have to leave super early this morning for work, because I have to stop at the body shop beforehand to get an estimate - wish me luck!!!! :wizard:

Crissup - :wave2:

Leigh - I"m so excited for you, please post new pictures when you get a chance. I have another thing you can request for your new home, and that is alot of electrical outlets in convienent areas of your home. This is one of my biggest complaints of my home - not enough electrical outlets.

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work.
Have a good day today!!!!

/

slo, you poor thing, i know exactly how you feel but my husband did not take it well when i screwed up the car.
one of the kids opened the back car door and got out while i was still in the garage.

It's way too cold outside!!! :cold: :cold:
Somebody turn the heat on!!!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I sent Lauren to school today, even though she is still a little stuffy.
She was more sick then her brother was. Poor kid! :(

Glad we are finally done with the Christmas decorating! And we got all the boxes and containers hauled back down to the basement.

The only bad part is that we will have to take it all down when we get back from WDW in Jan. We like having it all put away by at least the 2nd week of Jan.

slo I hope that the estimate for your car isn't *too* bad!!
If you get teased at the FD party, I would just tell people "well it's a good thing I don't drive a fire truck!". :rotfl: I would laugh it off and not let it bother you. ::yes:: We all make a costly mistake now and then. It just happens to be your turn. :thumbsup2

We will be at MK on the 7th & the 8th. We will have to do something for sure. :teeth:

macraven You need a boost of holiday spirit to help you get that tree up and decorated!! :teeth:

If you weren't so far from me I would come over in a instant and help you!! Maybe the meet on the 17th should also be a "Help Mac get her tree up" Meet!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :teeth: :grouphug:

Leigh Sounds like your house planning is really coming along.
All those extra cable outlets can be so costly. If you know a good electrician, it would be much cheaper to have someone do for you after you close instead of getting charged by the builder to do it.
Luckily for me DH is an excellent electrician. He has put so many extra cable outlets, electrical outlets, ceiling fans and more all over our new house. :)
When is your close date? You must be so excited!!!

I'm not interested at all in seeing the Divinci Code. I think it's typical Hollywood propaganda!!

Have a day everyone and stay warm!

Here are the pictures of my house so far. I've got little labels on the individual pictures. There's really not too much to see. :rotfl:

http://www.dotphoto.com/Go.asp?l=meydrech&P=&AID=4119629&T=1

For the outlets, it seemed like there were a lot of them, and it's really the kind of thing where I won't know where I might need extra ones until I move in and try to plug things in. Hopefully I'll have enough.

And the cable jacks weren't too bad. I got some canned lighting, which was much worse. I got that in the master bedroom, the living room, and the kitchen. I got ceiling fan outlets (for regular lights, not for ceiling fans) in the other two bedrooms and the basement. The other areas come with enough lighting. I know it would be cheaper to get someone to do these things, but not easier, as I don't know an electrician. But it's ok, it's all done.

thanks homies for the cheering up, but i'm still depressed since last night.

i want to go to bed right now and not wake up until christmas is over.
can't do that as there are 4 other people in the household. they can't suffer just because i am.

i am looking forward to the meet. i will be there no matter what

i just looked out my window and see the snow plow finally coming and doing my street.

and, they have shoveled the ice boulders to the front of my driveway.
i have a job to do now.
need to clear the end of the drive.

catch you later.

hoping for no more snow unless it is on thursday.......

Hi Everyone.
IT IS FREEZING OUT!! :cold:
My DH's heart went back into rhythm in the middle of the night at some point so he's fine and back at work. :thumbsup2 It's so weird because when it goes back into rhythm he feels like nothing has happened. I still worry like crazy though.
Bunchkin...I told him what you said about coughing (didn't work) and showed him the link. THANKS! He will definitely have to consider his options if this starts to happen more frequently.
Crissup...thanks for your doctor information too.
:guilty: Macraven..sorry about your DS leaving again.
Leigh...It must be very exciting seeing the progress on your home. Cool! Did you use any more of the codes? Did you email Kim for her codes? She said she had some too. I'm sad the Ebay game is over. I loved looking for the hidden Mickey's!!!!
Slo..Are you sure it wouldn't be better to submit this accident to insurance? 6 or 7 thousand sounds pretty steap to pay out of pocket. That really, really, stinks! :guilty:

Thanks for all of you thinking of me and my DH. :grouphug:
Debbie

I'm back!! I haven't had a chance to go back and read yet, so I hope everyone had a good week despite the weather. We had a great time!! The weather was okay, only one day was rainy. Me & Megan did Exped. Everest! We were both pretty scared! I had my eyes closed most of the time and didn't see the actual Yeti. Megan didn't see anything after the broken track. Oh well?? :rotfl:

We stayed at Pop Century and it was nice, but I think I'll stay at a moderate or above from now on, most likely POFQ. The resort was very nice, clean, colorful and bright, but it was sooo crowded and people were a little "rude". Everyone just seemed to be in such a hurry that they didn't "think", especially in the food court. I just think it's too big of a resort and it gets overly crowded. Some guy in the food court, reached over Megan to pour coffee and she turned around and bumped into him and he nearly spilled hot scalding coffee all over her. I just gasped and yanked her out of the way. She was standing next to me as I prepared my coffee and he couldn't wait one little moment for me to finish up. I said, My God, can't you wait two seconds for me to finish, is your coffee really worth scalding a little child?? He was completely rude about it and told me to F-off! At Disney?? I nearly cried right there! That's when I realized that it was just too much there. I needed more quiet and subdued resorts like POFQ.

On the fun side of things, we were completely soaked most of our first day at Magic Kingdom. Splash Mtn. got us really good. Later in the week, MVMCP was truly spectacular! What a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit!! Megan went to Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique the morning before the party and because she was so darn cute all "decked out" she got lots of attention from the characters and Santa, from atop his float, looked right at her and said, Merry Christmas Precious!! I had tears streaming down my face, and Megan was nearly swooning. She had the best time all week.

Well that's all for now, I am running behind at work! I don't think I'll do a TR, but I will provide a link later this week for everyone to see our pictures!! I didn't do the "sign" motif, because there were way too many wonderful pictures to take of all the Christmas decorations!

:sunny: I miss the 82 degrees we had in Florida all week that's for sure!!

:wave2:

Hello everyone. First time I've been on since Wed. Cool new colors.
Our family is having a bad time these days. DH mom is in the hospital with a bad infection in her hand. May lose a thumb.
And my niece was involved in a horrible accident last week and is making a slow recovery. Slo, you may have read about it in your newspapers. So we have been hospital hopping and spending much time running around. We hope to have them both home by Christmas, but not sure if that will happen.
Please keep us in your prayers.
Mac, sorry to hear your son is going away again. Hopefully, all will be well with this trip for him.
Leigh-glad to hear all is going well with the condo.
Nice to hear you all weathered the snow fairly well. We didn't get much here. Thank goodness. With all that happened that was one thing we didn't need.
Bunchkin I bet you and Slo are getting excited for your upcoming trip. It will be wonderful for you to escape these fridgid temps here.
Well, I'd better run and get busy. As you all can imagine, my house has also suffered much neglect and will continue to do so while we run from hospital to hospital so I need to catch up on laundry and do a little cleaning. Decorating for the holidays, I'm afraid, is going to be a lost cause.
Have a great day everyone. And remember to tell your children how much you love them and to be careful as they go about their day. They think we worry too much, but that's OK.

welcome back samIam.......tell us more about your trip.

tiggerrn, i am so sorry to hear what is happening to your family. of course i will have them all and you and your fam in my prayers.

take care while you are on the roads, be careful..

we finally got our street plowed today and that is great.
only had to wait since friday for it.

one of my students was killed over the weekend.
last week in class, he gave me a big hug and told me i was his favorite sub.
i have had him in classes since he was a little guy in grade school.

no matter what the circumstances were about his death, it is never good for a young man at age 16 to perish.

it is now 22 degrees where i am with a wind chill of 9 degrees.
can anyone say, i am cold......brrrrrrr

Hello all! Boy it's cold out there. Good thing I work with guys that know how to keep the heat on.

Tiggerrn2 Sorry to hear about your neice I hope she mends quickly.

macraven That poor boy's parents. 16 is too young. Sorry to hear about your son leaving again I'll keep praying he changes his mind :grouphug:

Sam How come you didn't bring us some warm :confused3 Glad nothing happened to Megan. That poor girl is a magnet.
