She did have Shirley Temple curls! She is a very pretty girl! She probably thought I was some weirdo Mom!
She only had those curls because it was Crazy Hair Day at school! :rotfl: And, she DID tell me she met you! :thumbsup2 It was too funny. When I picked her up after school, normal talking in the van on the way home, she says, "Oh, I think I met someone you know" :rotfl2: .............I knew who/what she meant right away! :goodvibes

ANTSS2001 How have you been?

Hi Hersey, thanks for asking. Friday was a painful day! I have been having on and off pains with my feet more so on my left foot. And finally I went back to my podiatrist. He told me it was not the spur that is causing the pain but the ligaments and tendons are inflamed, severely inflamed and his suggestion or recomendation was cortison shots. I never had one so I said Ok. Guess what  the appointment was at 7:30AM And i think I woke up the whole neighborhood! The Nurse Practitioner literally had to sit on my lap leaning towards my knees so as not to kick the DR. Since there was a fluid build up it was sore the whole day. I finally made it home and now icing my foot. Thank God the weekend is here. I can sit down and catch with all the movies I missed and at the same time rest my foot. Plus the forecast would be bitter and rainy.

Hope the Windy City have a better weather than ours. take care everyone

The bows My DD wears (which I love) are actually from a lady I met through Ebay where she sells her bows. I got to talking with her via email and we began talking about Disney because of the bows I ordered. She told me about the DISBOARDS and that's how I found you guys!!!!!! :disrocks: Cool huh. Look under Ebay ID - Lilahsmommy to see her bows! They are awesome. I am getting ready to send her a holiday order.
She IS super nice and she's sending me 2 bows by priority mail so I can have a WICKED bow for Kelly for next Sat's meet! :stir: :thumbsup2 Great link Debbie! (What's her DIS ID?? :confused3 )

LOVED your pics bigben! :thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing! Nice to see you  !

Good Saturday morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

I am so tired this morning because our friends stayed till after 11pm last night. By the time I got the girls to bed and then got to bed myself, it was after midnight. I definitly don't do well on little sleep :sad2: I always feel like I'm hung-over, it's weird!!!!

Today is our Pumpkin Patch meet :cool1: It's to bad it's going to be so windy today :guilty: But it's going to be a lot of fun!!! :teeth:

Please forgive me for not responding to everyone individually - I'm just to tired!!!

disneyohana -

Welcome to our happy and fun thread!!!! Please come by often, we would love to get to know you!!!

Bunchkin - That's great news from the cardiologist :cheer2: I'm so happy for you!!
**Prayers and PD for Tony's mom :wizard: Please keep us posted on how she is doing.
**Congrats on getting Tony's workman's comp settled better than you anticipated :cheer2:

Becky - Congrats to your DD for making the cheerleading squad!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

bigben - Great pictures!!! Thanks for posting them!! :)

To everyone else - Hi there!!! :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and get ready for our meet. Have a good day everyone!!

Good morning everyone. :wave2: Once again...Brrrrrrrrrrr :cold:
Hope you all had fun at your pumpkin patch outing!
I hope you all brought your parkas!:cold:

BigBen...Your pix are cool, you make me want to go on that cruise.
I'm a little mad at you for dragging your poor son on EE though! Poor kid! Is he talking to you yet?
By the way....way to shake that booty! :cool1:
Also, your kids are super cute!
Kim...First off...hope the hugs are working! :grouphug: Second....I knew that wasn't your DDs real hairdoo. I saw boys with wigs on so I kinda figured out something was up!!! I totally thought of you when I saw that wicked bow!! Isn't that funny that then you got it. Her Dis name is Aliisa too. She is so sweet. I wish she lived by us! I am going to put in an order with her today for the holidays.
Bunchkin....where on earth did you get a KC pic? You are hilarious!!!
Tiggerrn2My kindered spirit... I want to see your pix!!!!
Bunchkin & ANTSS2001 My DH has painful foot problems too and I made him get that shot before our trip. He said it's worse then the foot pain (but then it gets better and absolutely helped for the trip). He has highly inflamed ligaments too and we don't know what we are going to do. He's a tradesmen so he hurts every day! Poor guy. Before our trip the Dr said he should have surgery on it and then I went on line and read all this terrible stuff about the surgery so now we are like now what do we do????
SLO... I am the same way!!! I need my sleep or I feel hung over! That's why I absolutely avoid an actual hang over because I swear it would last a week! I went out last night and now I am spent! I am truely a homebody and I think this is why. My Dh loves to go out though so I have to throw him a bone on occasion. It was fun. We saw an AC/DC tribute band for our friends 40th birthday.

Lastly....I have decided you guys need to start a cut and paste post where everyone puts down...
....their name(or Id)
...birthday(age)
..family satus
.....where you are from exactly, etc. and anything else that you would want to add so I can get to know all of you guys correctly! Then all the info would be in one post eventually so I could use it as a reference. I am so scatter brained these days. I keep forgetting who lives close to me and who lives far for one. Who's kids are the same as mine and who has the adult children, etc. etc.
Dumb idea? Probably.
My WDW day today would have to be EE because I am freezing and the Yeti is all the chores I have to face today!

Love ya all! Have an awesome weekend!

DAY 2 Castaway Cay
We got up early to have breakfast topside and this is the view that greeted us.

sunrisecc1.jpg

Just incredible huh, We love CC. You kick back and relax. When you get off the ship you can either walk to the beach ( 5 mins) or wait for the tran to take you there. As you walk you can stop and get a good look at the Flying Dutchman.

dutchman1.jpg

Very cool looking the detail of the ship was really amazing. We always get off the ship early so we get our spot by he first life guard stand. You can rent snorkel equipment but we have our own. In we went to do some snorkeling before everyone else got in so all the fish were there. I've got to get an enclosure for my camera. Some of the fish were so cool. They've( being the people that run the island) built some more reefs for more fish. All the way at the back there is a reef that has thousands of fish, and was beautiful. I started to get tired and found a place for me to stand and catch my breath. i took my mask off and cleaned it, waited for a little bit then put it back on put my face into the water and about 5 feet from was a HUGE grouper that scaried the living bejesus out of me. He was about 3' and 60 - 80 lbs. with big teeth. Just floating there watching me. Thats one reason to get an enclosure for my camera. After that came in and played in the shallow water with the kids.

atcc.jpg

This my brother and sister-in-law Chad and Carrieanne, they made the trip with us its thier 2nd cruise.

chadcarrieanne.jpg

On CC they make you lunch which is good and the the kids also have thiers clubs on the island and they have a blast there too. We got back onboard about 4:00(to short need more time) ate dinner at Parrots cove also good.Once again kids to thier clubs an adults to thier clubs.

Day #3 at Sea

This day was nice and relaxing alot of pool time

cammickpl.jpg

When the kids went to the club we got to enjoy "quiet cove" which is the adult only pool which is nice.

Dinner was formal night

formalnight.jpg

which I had to go to but it was Monday night and the Bears were on ESPN. Heather made me a deal that i go and eat i could leave early, so I told the sever Louis "I have one request and that is to be quick tonight" he said "No problem". Well he placced our appitizers down and turned around and placed my and only my dinners down and asked "Was that quick enough?" Made it by halftime. After the met the others at "Rock'n Bar D" for some cocktails. Then off to bed, tomorrow Costa Maya.

We did the Japanese Restaraunt at Epcot on Monday night and my DH, Dad and bro made it for half time at the Espn Zone in WDW. :cheer2: We went out more that night (the girls and the baby) and when I got home I turned the game on and said "well they will be home soon! :guilty: " Went to sleep, was then awoken after 1 AM by my hubby yelling
"Da Bears", "Ditka","#1" :drinking1
I was obviously shocked at the end result!

Heard there's a warm up coming tomorrow! :listen:

spent another day at 6 flags today.

had to come home yesterday earlier than planned.
heard the series score and wanted to see my team win and jump and holler!

tired from another day at the park.

calling it a night.
be sure to set your clocks back an hour.

most of all, i have you all covered for tomorrow and the week.
i'll be going to church in the morning.....

see you later tomorrow.

sweet sleep

Just checking in. Hope you all had a great time at the pumpkin patch. DD had a good practice then both kids did the T/T trail sponsored by our park district. Picked up some good candy today. I had a soccer game all the way in Chesterton, IN. Talk about out in the middle of nowhere. Sorry Slo. I know you're out that direction a bit (not quite that far). We lost 2-0. It was so windy. Made me laugh. The ball didn't even go the direction you kicked it half the time. Oh, well that's the last game for me this season. Glad to wrap it up. Kids are done as well.
This evening DD had a Halloween party to go to. So DH, DS and I went to Culvers for dinner (in Tinley Park) and then to Super Target and did some shopping. I'm not having much luck finding fall prizes for our Harvest parties at school next week. Anyone have any ideas? I did find some bags and foam stickies the kids can make treat bags with. And found some little treat bags with only leaves instead of T/T type bags. Just so irritating that we just can't have a normal Halloween party like most other schools.
Well, talk to you all later. Have a good sleep.

Love all the pics!!! :thumbsup2

Sounds like everyone is dead tired today! Get your rest! Extra hour of sleep tonight, if you choose that route. ;)

Thanks Debbie. {{HUGS}} never hurt! :goodvibes You must have seen Daniel with the wig. He is a Hoot. Aliisa is just so great! She's making Kelly's bows with the stronger clips and she's altering the Wicked bow to have both tails down. I also ordered a Cmas bow from her. :thumbsup2 She speaks fondly of you also. :thumbsup2 Thanks again for her link.

Good morning everyone. Did everyone remember their clocks? I remembered only to forget again. We had fun at the pumpkin farm. Sorry Nicole and Susan I miss my apple cider donuts. The funnel cake was delish.

Well I must tackle my growing laundry and rid my lawn of leaves. Talk to you all later.

Good Sunday morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

What a beautiful sunny day today :sunny: It's so nice to wake up to sun!!

The pumpkin patch meet yesterday was great and the kids had lots and lots of fun!!! :cool1: It's to bad that it was so cold and windy - but the kids didn't seem to mind. Unfortunately every one of us forgot our camera so we have no pictures to show.

Debbie - What did you think of the Japanese restaurant at Epcot? We are thinking of going there in January.

bigben - Great pictures with the TR!! :thumbsup2

macraven - I bet it was cold at GA yesterday. Thanks for the reminder to set the clocks back :thumbsup2 I almost forgot when I went to bed yesterday.

Tiggerrn2 - No need to apologize, I haven't been to Chesterton in forever. I bet that soccer game was terribly cold - I'm so glad we are done with soccer. Stephanie's coach asked if we wanted to play in a tournament game yesterday and today - I said, "No thanks!!!"

Kim - How are you doing? I hope you are feeling better  :wizard:

HERSEY - How are you feeling today? Sending you lots of PD for your cold to get better soon!!! :wizard: I also meant to tell you that I couldn't get over how much Alex has grown since the last time I saw him. He's such a nice young man - you must be very proud!!!

Bunchkin - Thanks again for planning this meet, we had so much fun!!! :cool1: You have such a wonderful family, and my kids really enjoy being with your kids :) .

SamIAm - It was so good to meet you in person!! Megan is a real sweetheart and Stephanie really enjoyed meeting her :) How's her mouth today after drinking that hot chocolate to fast? I sure hope it's not hurting her to much today.

To everyone else - Hi there!!! :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and get ready for church. Have a good day todaye everyone!!

good sunday morning chicagoland homies.

the sun is shining now.........woo hoo.

going to church then over to great america for the last fright fest.
crowded yesterday and expect the same for today.

i'll post the tv listings for the week for the disney related shows when i get back home tonight.

Good Morning one and all!! :sunny:

We had a lot of fun yesterday at the pumpkin farm!!!
But it was wayyyyy tooooooo windyyyyyy!!! We could have all used an extra layer or two of clothing!! :teeth:
And all that wind gave us the sniffles and sneezes too later in the day.

One good thing was that Hunter fell asleep on the way home and slept for quite some time. :cool1: :teeth:
Lauren and I were able to work on the Halloween treat bags for her class party, and then the individual little treat bags her and Hunter are giving their classes.

We also went to a birthday party last night for our friend's son.
FUN!! :teeth:
Good pizza and cake!!

Today there is a fall festival being held at the sales office of our subdivision. The kids can wear their costumes. There will be hay rides, pizza, pop & juice, cupcakes and prizes for the kids.

[size4] 6 MORE DAYS TILL THE WICKED MEET!!![/size] :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Guess what I did????? :scratchin:

I changed our Christmas vacation plans......AGAIN!!! :rotfl:

Tony and I are now going on a ADULT ONLY trip to WDW for 4 days!!! YEAH!!!
 :cheer2: :woohoo: I'm sooooo excited!!! We haven't been away without the kids EVER!!! :faint:

Hersey Why are you sorry that you miss your apple cider donuts??? :teeth:

Nicole, Janice, and Susan - can you believe that Katie did not fall asleep on the way home :sad2: . When we got in the car she wanted her Fruit Loops, so I gave her the cereal. She munched on that a little bit and Stephanie said she was falling asleep. So I reached behind me to take the baggie of cereal away so it wouldn't fall and spill on the floor. She felt me take that cereal away and she SCREAMED  !!!! So I gave her the cereal back hoping she would fall asleep and no way :sad2: So, she was in bed really early last night

Oh......I forgot tell everyone that we finally watched The Pirates of the Carribean last night pirate: I'm not much of Johnney Depp fan, but boy oh boy, I think I'm becoming one. I really loved him in this, and I really loved him in Willy Wonka. Pirates was a great movie, and we really enjoyed it pirate: Now I can hardly wait to see the 2nd one!!! :thumbsup2

Awwww, that's really sweet of you to say that!!! We enjoy you and the girls too!!! :goodvibes We had a great time yesterday! ::yes::

Hi all- happy sunny Sunday!
Sure was nice to get that extra hour back and sleep!! :cool1:
It will be nice for me next Spring,in mid-March, to change the clocks again, instead of early April. The daylight savings time clock change in April was not always a good week for me b/c that was always around my kid's birthdays, too busy at that time of yr for me.
Anyways, sounded like all of you that went to the pumpkin farm meet had a good time :thumbsup2
Matthew had his rocket derby yest morning, they don't do judging on it, just a fun thing to do for Cub Scouts. Chrissy was so happy to sleep in yest. morning! She has been a real bear the past couple of weeks, getting her ready for school, think b/c it had been so dark out.
Today we celebrate my grandma's birthday, have a small family party at hte nursing home.

Mac- have a good day at Fright Fest today! Are they still having that roach contest there?(like I really want to know  :rotfl2: ).

BigBen- enjoyed your TR and pics!

ANTSS- Hi there :wave2: Hope your feet are feeling better :wizard: I have plantar facsitis(sp). I remember my feet killing me when I woke up and put my feet down on hte floor. I have very nice expensive inserts in my shoes- that I ordered from my podiatrist over 10 yrs ago. I also have flat feet- no arch. So hte inserts really help me, with the right kind of gym shoes. I didn't have cortisone shots at all, my Pod. didn't care for that, he would wrap my feet up with tape first for a week or so, before the inserts were ready. I hope you do feel better, tho. Please post here when you can ,as we like seeing you here! :)

Hi to everyone else :wave2:

Hope to be a nice, warm, sunny day today. :sunny: Have a good day.

:sunny: Happy Sunday everyone!
Sounds like you guys had fun at the Pumpkin Patch. That's nice!
I slept in with the whole family this morning which was VERY nice!

That's how my DD's PS does it too and I am in charge so let me know what you end up doing. DDs snack day is on Halloween though so I am going to send Halloween treats and maybe a craft or something.

Kim...I am giving Aliisa this huge bow order. I am addicted to those bows now. Oh well, it's only money right!

Slo..for some reason I would think these bows would be up your alley.

We go to the Japanese steak house every time. It's my brothers pick and it is very good. It's like a Beni Hana (I have no idea how to spell that name!). It's a little pricer so it is a good choice when you are on the DDP (only counts as one credit)
Macraven...thanks as always for the prayers!!!! :grouphug:
RosePrincess I hope your Grandma has a nice birthday. How old is she if you don't mind me asking?

Well, I'm off to our annual pumpkin carving day with my Mom's homemade chili and the Bears game! :woohoo: Have good one everybody!

Well, I realize the question wasn't directed towards me, but I figured I'd toss my two cents in anyway (I'm good at butting in)...

We've done the teppenyaki in Epcot at least three times. For entertainment, I enjoy it quite a bit. However, I can think of at least five different teppenyaki style restaurants I've been to, so I tend to compare them. My hands down favorite is Bennihana's. They use lots of garlic butter in their cooking and it really flavors the meat. Thus, I tend to believe the Teppenyaki in Epcot is a bit less flavorful than I like. In addition, at all I've been to, except Epcot, you can order fried rice that the chef cooks up right in front of you. If you like fried rice, this is *always* an extremely tasty treat right off the hibachi grill. Unfortunately, Epcot doesn't offer fried rice like this. It's white rice only.

So, to sum it up, if you've been to other teppenyaki style restaurants, you may feel the food is not quite as tasty as others. However, it's still very good, worth the money, and the entertaining show around cooking the food is very enjoyable. I'm sure I'll go again.

I feel the same way. I paid so little attention to him that I didn't even know who he was before Pirates came out. But, I think he fits well into these eccentric roles and really makes the movie. :)
