Chicago Area DIS meet DEC 7th!

oooo... I missed the last Chicagoland meet and hope I can make this one! I work 2 jobs around the holidays so hopefully I'll get lucky and have the day off!!!

I live real close to Woodfield (3 miles).
Do I need to be a DVC member to attend the meet? I'm not a DVC member, but I do know Geffric and have been to a few Chicago dismeets in the past.

Well, my calculus final isn't until the Thursday night following this meet - count me in! I was wishing for a meet close to home - my wish came true My usual parking place at Woodfield is right outside of Macy's. Do you know what entrance will be open early? Can't Wait!!

I spoke to Woodfield Security the other day and they said that the mall enterance doors open at 7:30 am.

Darn it, wish I could be there, but I'll be in Phoenix for a conference that weekend.

However, I was at the previous one and I definitely encourage people to attend. If you have kids, bring them along.

We couldn't attend the last meet and unfortunately, we are unable to make this one. Two sad things happening that day!!! 1) We will be returning from WDW that day and 2) unable to attend the meet. What a depressing day that will be!!!!

I'm so glad I wandered onto the Podcast threads today- I'm normally in Trip Reports! Although I do check into chat now and then.

I'm so excited! I have such winter doldrums and this will be FANTASTIC!

It'll be myself, DH most likely, and our kiddos. It might end up just being me and DD, but def, I'm coming!

You do not have to be a DVC member. They will be giving us a no-pressure presentation and giving you materials to take home and look over. You will not feel pressured or uncomfortable if you are not a member. And of course if you are a member, they're happy to meet you too!

I've never felt that there was any sales pressure... just information, and fun times to be had. And they invite you back for more fun every time they have an event.

The anaversary party was a lot of fun; AK drum group, Park musicians, Giveaways, The Fab 5, Food, etc.
