Is there much of a difference apart from the themes? What are there breakfasts like? And which one out the two would you choose?

Also, a little question about Newport bay, do they serve hot breakfasts included? Or is a cooker breakfast an additional charge?
If also like to know that if in one of there anchor rooms I think it is with the seperate reception you can order breakfast to your room, has anyone done that before? Can you order a hot breakfast to room or just cold?
Thank you :)

I can help you with this bit. Cheyenne has bunkbeds in rooms as standard, Santa Fe doesn't (2 doubles, although I've heard rumours ;) of there being a few rooms with bunks!). Santa Fe has been refurbished recently, Cheyenne (IMHO) is in desperate need of refurbishment. I believe the breakfasts are the same. Stayed at the Cheyenne in December, staying at the Santa Fe in October! :)

Hope that helps a bit?

We had bunks at SF last year.

SF is more recently renovated and I'd stay there any day over Cheyenne. SF is more current with the Cars theme and that appeals to me more than cowboys.

The breakfast buffet at the Santa Fe and Cheyenne are the same. As others have said the Santa Fe has just been refurbished to a fantastic Cars theme.

I prefer the Santa Fe (bit of a Cars fan) , where my wife likes the cowboy town feel to the Cheyenne. The bar at the Cheyenne - The Red Garter Sloon is much nicer in my opinion to the one in the Santa Fe, so when we say at the Santa Fe we always end up going over the bridge to the Red Garter for a drink in the evenings.

There are a few rooms in the SF with bunk beds, but the majority of the rooms have two double beds.

Both hotels are around a 15-20 mins walk from the parks along the river, which is a nice walk and a relaxing way to wind down after a long day in the parks.

Not sure if they serve hot items at the NPB at the moment as both resturants are closed due to the refurbishment and meals are being served in the hotels convention centre.

I stayed at Cheyenne in 2012 and thought it really needed a refurbishment plus breakfast is a scrum, although probably the same tat Santa Fe.
I would stay at Santa Fe to see the refurb as haven't stayed there since 2003.
However some people have recently said Newport Bay is coming out around same price as refurb is happening at the moment so they have lowered price - might be worth checking out.
