will be staying at hotel cheyenne for our next trip. some people have advised me to ask for a room in a building close to the main building? any advice on this pls?

can i do this when i'll be doing check-in or shall i call disney beforehand?

You can call the hotel direct about 2 weeks before you arrive. They will make a note for you and try to accommodate your request.

The telephone numbers for the onsite hotels are here -

Your room will already be allocated by the time you check in, so you should contact them beforehand.

i havent stayed there but stayed in the santa fe and the buildings of the cheyenne do stretch on a bit. i would ring them beforehand as depending on what time you arrive there might not be a room nearby left. also i would assume they have the rooms assigned before you arrive

thanks 4 ur help. will phone hotel directly before out trip then :thumbsup2
thanks a lot for the link of telephone numbers...will find it useful

Thanks for that, we go in a couple of weeks and wondered if it was possible to request close to the main building. Does anyone know about the car-parking there, oh, and do they provide towels?!

Can you call the standard Disneynumber and then they re- direct you to the hotel?

I don't know I'm afraid, I just called our hotel and they dealt with it all. I had no problems with being understood, and I don't speak French.

yep there are towels in the Cheyenne Rooms; the toilet, basin and bath/shower are all together (at least in ours) if that's a concern.

we were in Sundance, ("East Desparado Street") which is at the far end. Yes it was a walk to breakfast, but on the days we had a Fantasyland breakfast, we were only 15 mins walk from the parks, and didn't have to negotiate the crowded shuttle bus.

The Cheyenne charge a deposit for kettles and hairdriyers but they are available in the main reception area.

The main building can be noisy though. And wherever you are there's some walking involved. If you're near the main building then you're further away from the parks. I personally wouldn't worry too much about it as nowhere is *that* far away - I found it easier to get around than the Santa Fe.
