Chewing gum at Disney

I don't know why so many people have trouble putting gum in the trash.

I buy gum that is wrapped so that I can put the gum when I'm finished chewing it back into the wrapper and then into the trash can.

I have purchased cigarettes at DW shops. They are hidden and you need to ask for them.

Must be going crazy, I swore that I have seen threads where people were concerned that they would have to bring all the cigarettes they would need for the entire trip because they couldn't get them onsite. :guilty:

do you really think that disney would miss out on such a huge demographic? i mean they even has designated smoking areas.. might as well capitalize on it!

IIRC, they only sell certain brands. If they are not the brand someone smokes, they need to bring them.

My husband has purchased cigars.

You mean at the cigar place in DTD (name escapes me at the moment) or at a regular store somewhere on property? Somehow I can't imagine anywhere but the DTD place having cigars...

I think I've seen cigars for sale at the store on the Boardwalk. They are behind the counter with the liquor.

family cigars... adding the word "family" makes it ok! :thumbsup2

Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner.

You can't buy cigarettes in any WDW shop. I don't know about the Hess Station.

As others have said, you can indeed buy cigarettes. All the resort gift shops carry them. They are underneath the cashier counters, you just need to ask. Most smokers pack their own because they only have select brands and are extremely expensive from the gift shops. They also carry lighters, chew tabacco, cigars ect. Just no nicotine gum.;)

It's true that there is no gum for sale at MCO. I asked around for it in August--needed some to help my ears on the flight--and was told that gum isn't sold anywhere in that airport because they don't want to clean it up.

I asked in Sept and was told the same thing about the gum. Also the cost of cigarettes is around $10 a pack on property and you have to ask, they have them behimd the counter. My mom always brings a carton with her.

Gum is the one of the most vile inventions of man - YUK!!! Not sure which is worse; smokers at the beach or gum chewers. Guess that would be a good poll. Disney is right on when it comes to gum. Maybe the poll should read; Which is worse: Second hand smoke, or second hand gum chewing? :rotfl:
Now go enjoy your trip! :thumbsup2
