Is Chevy's any good? We are wanting mexican one night and this is close to our resort.

Chevys is not Mexican food. It's chain quality Tex Mex. Actually, it's not even Tex Mex; it's a category all on its own.

You might like it. Just don't go expecting Mexican food.

I LOVE their fajitas! :9 We don't live close to one anymore, but our last trip to St. Louis I insisted we stop in and it was just as delicious as I remembered.

We don't have the chain in Canada. We really enjoy Chevy's and go once each trip. Apparently on Tuesdays, kids eat free. :thumbsup2 There's always a balloon-maker in the restaurant, free chips at the table, kids get an ice cream cone at the end of the meal, etc. It's good family food at a good price, just outside Disney gates.

I agree with this post, but I admit to liking the free chips and salsa there more than I probably should.

I wouldn't make a point of visiting Chevys while on vacation, but it's serviceable Tex-Mex in a pinch.

While I do enjoy Chevy's, it's not "Mexican" food like you would find at a taquirilla. I don't know about the rest of the states, but in CA, it's really hard to find a "good" taquirilla.

While on the Chevy's subject, Costco (at least ours) sells Chevy's salasa and black bean salsa. It's not quite as good as the one in the resturants, but it'll do if you're craving salsa. My DH is a major salsa snob, if you go to your local grocer in the mexican row there are small canned salsas like you would find at a taquirlla. The brand is Herdez, it's a small white can with red letters. There are at least 4 different types, Taquera and Ranchero are the two that I can name off my head, DH likes the Taquerea ones.

O.K. not a major Mexican food lover but I love quesadillas and Chevy's salsa and chips....mostly the chips. It truly is watered down Mexican food but is a fun place to go to...has been a dining must for 10 plus years for our family.

We LOVE Chevys!! We try and go every trip since we don't have it here! They have the BEST fajitas! :thumbsup2

I had a bad experience there this past weekend at the Chevys Crossroads, but it was basically a bad server. I ordered a diet coke, he brought regular. When I asked for a diet he told me they ran out of diet. I thought it was odd, but moved on. Then when my dinner came out with refried beans instead of black beans, and I told him I ordered black beans, he AGAIN said "we ran out". Then I saw the table next to me all had black beans. I asked another server who brought me some, they had not run out.

Oh and when we got the bill we had two items on the bill that were not ours. It took 3 employess and a half hour to get them removed. I almost left without paying, we got so sick of waiting for them to try to fix it.

We will NOT be going back.

I hope if you left no tip and the server asked why, you said "I ran out".:)

Our family loves Chevys. We use to have one near us when we lived in CA, but now we only go when we are in Orlando. I am a huge fan of their fajitas and the Spicy Mango margarita. YUMMY.

I pretty much detest chain restaurants, except for a few... Chevy's is better than "On the Border" IMO. The Quesadilla’s are really good & like others have said, so are the Fajitas.

Chips & salsa are great, feels less like a chain than others for whatever reason. I can’t eat at Chili’s for example, but I enjoy Chevy’s every once in a while.

we love chevy's! in december we went twice. i always get fajitas, but everyone in our party of 5 got something different and we all left happy and full. you'll leave smelling like food though, so be ready to shower when you get done.
