I am looking a buying a new 2006 Equinox. Does anyone know anything about these cars? Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

My neighbor has one. They bought it the first year it came out.
They have had the car back for a few repairs but nothing major just a few bugs in the system when a new car comes out. Otherwise they love it.

We have one, its been great. Its very comfortable and fun to drive (great acceleration and handling).

We actually rented one when we were at WDW back in January. I thought it was a fun car to drive and got halfway decent gas mileage for an SUV.

I got an Equinox when it first came out. I have taken it back a couple of times (one was for a loose bolt that was making noise upon acceleration, and the other was because coolant was leaking), but nothing to major. I have put 38,000 miles on it in a little over 2 years. The gas mileage is ok considering it is a SUV. I get between 18 to 22 mpg and nowadays it takes about $35-40 to get a full tank of gas. It rides very smoothly and handles great. I do have the all wheel drive version. When my lease comes up next year, I do not know if I'll continue with it or go buy a car instead, I'm tired of having to pay car bills. :)

My mom just bought on. She loves it. The back seat is very roomy for a smaller sized SUV.

I had a 2005 Equinox in laser blue, love love loved it..however dh deployed to Iraq, we sold both my Equinox & his Dodge 2500 P/U and bought a 2007 G6 GT Hardtop Convertible. We went from almost $900/month in car loans to $300. I had the Equinox LT fully loaded & AWD it was great in the snow (I recently moved from NY to TX) Roomy and drives like a car not a truck. No problems just general maintenance I had 15k on it when I sold it. I used to be a service manager back in NY for Hyundai & Chevy.

I just have one word of advice Buy the extended service agreement. We bought an avalanche and its been one problem after another. unfortunatly it was the ONLY car we didn't buy a warranty on(never had to use the others)

Good luck!

I just got mine about 3 weeks ago and love it! Mine is black and has a sunroof (my only requirement in a new vehicle!) Lots of room in the back seat for the kids and plenty of floor space for whatever lands back there. Still getting used to the window controls being in the center console rather than on the drivers door, that's a little wierd for me.
