Chester and Hester's Dinorama Rumor

Hello! A rumor I recently heard said that the place where Dinorama currently sits was a Cast Member parking lot, and they left the lines for the parking spaces there when they built the land. If anyone knows if this is true or false, please tell me. Thanks!

False. They purposely built a parking lot and built this on top of it. Joe Rohde has pictures on his Instagram talking about how they "aged" the asphalt to make it look like it's been there.

It's a case where they actually spend vast amounts of money to make it look cheap.

Little known fact - they also designed really great rides but then deliberately dumbed them down to make them look like roadside tourist trap attractions.

I've never understood the hate for Dino-rama. I think it's a cute, fun area. My only gripe with it is how they jacked up the prices of the midway games. Those used to be cheap...

The hate is because it could've been better but they went over budget which caused things to be cut. I don't mind the area for what it is. I ride dinosaur and maybe primeval whirl than I leave. I've never played the games.

Well that and it's so out of character to the rest of the parks theming which is gorgeous. Yes, it's supposed to look tacky, but that doesn't change the fact it looks tacky.

ou can win prizes as I recall and a small Mickey plush costs like $15 in the gift shop so they didn't want to cut into their branded merchandise sales LOL
