Is it too soon for that joke? I'm glad that they were hunting for quail and not a bigger bird or that fella might have been seriously injured or killed.

My theory is that he (the victim) said something negative about the prez...let that be a warning to the rest of YOU!

But seriously, the shooting occured yesterday...no one knew until today...were they trying to get the story straight?

I think he refused to sign one of Cheney's infamous confidentality agreements . Honestly, I heard the local press got wind of it or it wouldn't have made national news.

IMHO, it will never be appropriate for that joke. Luckily the man didn't die but he was shot in the face and neck. Do you think that is something to make light of?

Everytime they talk about the story here on the news I can't help but get a giggle going. If the guy who was hurt more seriously I probably wouldn't. But come on...Dick shoots someone, thats funny. Writers couldn't come up with something like that.

Since the other man wasn't seriously hurt, I bet this is something even they
will have some laughs over down the road.

Truly, quail shot is lighter than a bb.

Let's remember that the leader of the FREE WORLD shot his brother in the buttocks with a BB Gun! People made light of that, and he did THAT on purpose. And remember that more injuries occur nationally from pellet and bb guns each year than all other civilian (non-military) guns combined, and many of them are serious, or fatal.

The lawyer shot by Cheney had less chance of serious injury than Bush's brother.

So now both the Veep and prez have shot people outside of military reasons
