Jordan: he sighed "I can try, but it's just not that easy. Ever since kindergarten I've had to tell people that my dad left, or make up some lie about why he wasn't at events. I used to get my hopes up each time I won one of these" he said pointing to the trophies "like maybe that would be good enough for him. That I was good enough. Eventually I stopped caring, and now that I'd given up on him he's back." he lay his head on hers " I guess I really should at least let him talk to me."

Marina: "They'll understand. My parents are easygoing and kind." She took his hand and sat him on the couch next to her. Her parents were in chairs across from them.

Marcus: he held her close, tears in his eyes. "You need to be okay. You need to be." Doctors took her from him and started working on her. "No!" He screamed, the darkness under his eyes deepening. "You can't! No!" He was stuck with another syringe full of sedative and he fell limp. All he could do was wait and watch.

Marina: "The doctors that found us programmed a place called Chemical Alley. It was supposed to be like a paradise I guess, but it backfired and we got stuck. So they sent people called Deaths to go after us and kill us. If they did, we died in the real world."

Jen: "Wow." She clutched her husband's hand.

Matt: "Really? Those deaths sound like bad-"

Marina: "Alex is a death."

Matt: "When I say bad, I mean good." He sighed. "Sorry."

Well a tree was going to fall on Jordan, who I finally convinced to sleep, but I pushed him out of the way and I got crushed by it. He flipped out when he woke up and lifted it off of me. He went to eat without me because it was meat and that's when Alex showed up."

Marina: "I ended up falling for him and he joined us. Then the same happened with two other Deaths, Dawn and Karen. So this girl, Cloudy, she ended up passing out and getting home. Eventually we all followed.
