Marcus: He pushed David's wheelchair to the car and helped him in.

David: He slumped over in his chair.

Marcus: "We'll be home in ten minutes, David, you'll be okay."

David: He nodded weakly, shutting his eyes.

 

[Doodle98]

Marcus: He quickly drove them home and helped David inside.

David: He immediately fell asleep once he laid down in bed.

Marcus: "Gwen, there's something I think you should know. I don't know if David will tell you..."

Matt: He had his arms around Trent, who was still snuggled up on his lap. "What now?" he asked.

 

[Fairywings]

Gwendolyn: "He's near his end, isn't he? I'm not surprised."

 

[Doodle98]

Gwendolyn: "He's near his end, isn't he? I'm not surprised."

Marcus: "he said he was finally ready to give up. He gave himself a week or two left, Gwen. It's horrible."

 

[Fairywings]

Gwendolyn: "We knew this day was coming."

 

[Doodle98]

Marcus: "I know. I just-" he sat down next to David and stroked his hair. "I've been to chemical alley twice. I've killed. I've seen people die. But I still have a hard time comprehending mortality. It's hard for me to think about what it'll be like after he's gone."

 

[Fairywings]

Gwendolyn: "Yeah, well, you haven't been living with it everyday." Her smile was bitter. "I might be physically blind, but that doesn't make me dumb."

 

[Doodle98]

Marcus: "Of course it doesn't. I can't even come to imagine what you've been through." He had been through a lot, but watching someone you love slowly and painfully die in front of your eyes was a much harder struggle.

 

[Doodle98]

Trent: "Matt, can we dance again?"

Matt: He smiled. "Of course." He took his hand and led him back out onto the dance floor.

Trent: He wrapped his arms around Matt's shoulders and pressed himself against Matt.

Matt: He gently rubbed his back and danced with him,

Lynn: She changed the song to a slower song and nudged Flynn.

 

[Fairywings]

Gwendolyn: "It's difficult to say the least."

 

[Doodle98]

Gwendolyn: "It's difficult to say the least."

Marcus: "I'm sure. If you need any more help I'm always here, I could take some time off of work..."

 

[Fairywings]

Flynn: He raised an eyebrow at Lynn.

Gwendolyn: "Thank you, but it's okay. You're needed by your family."

 

[Doodle98]

Lynn: "Ask Chelsea."

Marcus: "If you're sure, Gwen."

David: He opened his eyes.

 

[Fairywings]

Flynn: He nodded, and moved to Chelsea. "Hey, the music's back on. Wanna dance?"

Gwendolyn: "Of course I'm sure. Hey, David."

 

[Doodle98]

David: "Hi, Gwen," he murmured.

Marcus: "Hey buddy."

David: "Hi..."

Marcus: He put a blanket over him. "Did you have a good wedding day?"

David: "Yeah. It was good."

Marcus: "I'm glad. Are you happy you're married?"

David: "Yeah, I have the prettiest wife in the world. She has beautiful hair and eyes and is just the kindest girl you will ever meet. I'm too lucky. I just feel bad for her." His eyes were closed and he had seemed to have forgotten that gwen was there. "She's so amazing and she has given so much up to take care of me. I'm such a bad person. She doesn't deserve this. I don't want to hurt her. I love her so much."

Marcus: "I know, buddy, I know."

 

[Fairywings]

Gwen: She squeezed his hand, but was altogether speechless.

David: He smiled and held her hand. "Hi, Gwen."

 

[Fairywings]

Gwendolyn: "Hi love."

 

[Doodle98]

David: "You're so pretty." He kissed her hand gently.

Gwen: "Thank you."
