My flight home went down to $94. Got 2000 RR points back

I keep hearing these great stories. But mine is high and hasn't budged.

My outbound flight for Feb went from $175 to $79.

I had to come and share mine, too, I was so excited! Everyday I stalk SW several times per day/night. Been checking our trip home flights that we booked from Chicago MDW to MCO, back in May when they opened. Our way down had gone from open at $162, to 139, then 107 and then a few days ago to $102, in the equivalent points, as we book with points. Pretty nice! My DD26 used her pts for that part(and I was jealous, lol). But, I used my pts for our trip home, starting at $195, yikes! Down to $162 a few weeks after booking, and then it just sat there from end of May til yesterday! All hours of the day and night I would check, but nothing. Ugh! But I finally had just resigned myself that likely our fare wouldn't go down at all.

I decided to check at work this afternoon just for the heck of it, knowing what it would show, had already checked in the morn. Plus in my experience, I didn't expect to see a dip on a Sat afternoon, lol. Our flights down showed they had gone back up to $134 so I was certain nothing changed coming home. I scrolled down to the bottom and saw the last flight of the day at $104! I was so shocked, I left my lunch mess to get full size computer figuring my phone app wasn't showing it right, or I had the wrong day(did that once and almost changed to a $79 flight only two days into week our trip, lol, luckily I caught it!). So excited but unbelieving, lol. After having trouble finding our booked flights, I finally got it all changed and got back 7768 points!! That's basically another flight! Am so excited! That's only $206 roundtrip pp (in pts), which is great for us! I'll still stalk just in case one of them goes down even more, there are other flight times on our days that are at $64! We want an early flight down and the last of the night home

Moral of the story, always keep checking several times a day!!

You got a great deal! I'm so jealous. I'm bored to tears with checking over and over and seeing no change. No, wait. It did go from 192 down to 189. Then back to 192 (return trip only). But that's it.

Just checked my two flights. The October flight went up 669 points so I left it alone. The November flight went down 470 points so I rebooked that one.

WTGA fares for Feb flights still sold out Flight to MCO in Oct has gone up from $89 when I booked to $224 now. At least the return flight has slowly dropped from $136 to $102. If only the slightly later flight would drop too. I'd rather fly out at noon than 10am.

Our flights for March and April have not changed at all. What we find hard to believe if there are so many sold out flights so many different days of the week

I usually drive myself crazy with the checking over and over for the best deal. Then sometimes, I'm not even able to use the credit I get. I decided this year for our October trip I booked at a price I'm happy with and I'm not going to try to do better. I'm flying on Saturday and that's not usually where the deals are anyway. I will admit, I've checked a couple of time, but it's never any lower. I try to avoid these posts so I don't get envious or jealous. I'm happy for all of you!

Yep, I'm pretty happy with it! I was definitely getting very bored checking for price drops and finding no change. I'm very happy that I went from paying the equivalent of $324 for our two tickets to $208 and getting so many points back! And I'm glad I book with points, it'd be more of a pain to have to try to use credits so not quite as fun getting a price drop, though definitely still worth it!

I definitely could not stop checking for something better, though, as the above poster is doing, lol! I''ll still be looking at prices just in case one of them goes lower. Guess I'm obsessed, lol.
