I am going to Disney World during Thanksgiving
and we go 3 or 4 times a year and we have never been to Cheif Minnie Mickey can you tell m all about the restaurant???:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earseek:

Went to Chef Mickey's last time for dinner, and loved it! We're going back again this time--have fun!

Chef Mickey's is in the contemporary and buffett style. IMHO the dinner buffet is very good. We saw Goofy, Chip and Dale, and Chef Mickey. It is a lot of fun and very loud! Also, if you time it right you can go to a special viewing area to see the fireworks from the CR, used to be off of the California Cafe but I have read it is now on the 4th floor i believe. If you have young kids I believe it is a great time for them, but if you are adults looking for something quiet you may want to reconsider. Also, it is popular so you may want to make ps's asap - I just made them for our last night in the world on 12/27 and could only get 7:30 or later so I guess we will have to miss spectro that night :( .

ps - we did not see minnie, not sure if she is ever there or not.

That is odd as we eat at Chef Mickey's on every trip for dinner and Minnie is always there along with Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Chip & Dale, and Pluto. Maybe Minnie was not feeling well that night;)

dreaming,

I noticed you are dining at Chef Mickeys on Dec. 27th at 7:30. That's our first night and we'll be there dining at 7:00. Wear some lime green and maybe we will bump into you there:D

Chef Mickeys is one our must do restaurants. The kids and my DH love it for breakfast. The food is delicious and there is plenty of it. Also you get plenty of character interaction with Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Goofy and I think Donald is there at dinner. This will be our first time going for dinner. We're really looking forward to it.

My DH, DS and DD loved Chef Mickey's. DH had the prime rib and mashed potatoes and raved about it.

Can't remember what the kids had but I had the fish and rice. The fish was dry. Salads and deserts were good.

The atmosphere is very loud and there was a lot of character interaction. The kids loved this. I was happy because they were happy but I felt rushed for the price of this meal. I was exausted when we left.

WDWNUT61 - I forgot to wear the lime green last year but will put forth more of an effort this year - see you there if we can't move our ressie's up - I'm still hoping for an earlier time so we can catch spectro that night! :D

dreaming,

You might try showing up earlier and getting your name in. You will have to wait either way. Chef Mickeys is busy PS or not. Lots of people will be waiting but maybe if you get there early enough you'll get seated before 7:30 and can make Spectro:D Either way I'll keep a look out for the lime green;)

We think Chef Mickey's is the greatest. The food is fantastic. We love the Prime Rib. The atmosphere is fun. You will see lots and lots of characters. You must be sure and take your camera!:earsgirl:

Ohhhhh, those mashed potatoes and prime rib. Yum!! My DH, who previously felt I was somewhat fanatical where WDW is concerned, thought Chef Mickeys was the best meal choice I made!! We are going again in Aug and he says...'Don't care where else you plan to eat...just be sure on of them is Chef Mickeys'.
Tiffany...on another note...we have always gone in the fall. THis Aug will be our first summer trip. Any tips for a fellow dis'er from Ma????
