Sylvester McBean has really peaked my interest on the Chef's Table at Emeril's. I can't find any more info on it though.
I did find some reviews on the Chef's Table at Tchoup Chop, but not Emeril's (we prefer Emeril's). Has anyone else dined at it there? If so, could you provide some details (i.e. making a reservation, how many people are seated at the table, is it teen friendly, price with or w/o wine pairings, etc.). In your opinion, what makes this experience better or worse than dining in the regular restaurant?
Also, I'd love more info on the Tasting Menu that is served in the regular dining room (i.e. price with & w/o wine pairings, number of courses & choices, etc.) Does everyone at the table have to order it? Our DS(14) obviously can't order the wine pairings with his meal. Will that be a problem, if DH & I decide to go that route?
Last question... I remember that when we dined there before we had to tell them in advance that we wanted the chocolate souffle'. I don't know how recently the menu has changed. Do they still serve it? If so, do you still need to tell them in advance. It was great, BTW.
Thanks in advance, for any info you can provide.
FYI, I'm also posting this on the Community board, in case there's some who dine at Emeril's but don't post on this board.
