I am going to try and book the Chef's Table at V&A's for my birthday next year. Do I need to be on the phone exactly 180 days out at 7am? I just want to be prepared. Also, there are a 2 nights which we can go. I would prefer the second night because it is actually my birthday. Should I call twice, book the first night if I can and then cancel if I can get the second night? Or is that rude? I feel like I am trying for Cindy's! :o

That is probably a good strategy...if the night you least want to go comes up first..then book it if you can...then call the next morning..if the night you really want is available book it...and then...cancel the night you don't want.

Always book..then cancel...don't cancel then book incase there are any glitches in the system. Just don't forget to cancel your unwanted reservation.

I agree- It took us 4 days of calling at 7am to book the Chef's table! Also- The Chef's table isn't available to book every day of the week by the general public - it is reserved for VIPs, etc. booked only by the Chef himself 2 days a week- I think those days are Tues /Fri- but I'm not sure- you could call and ask them....Jill

Thanks for all the responses. I am trying for a Fri or Sat, so I'm sure it will not be easy. Wish me luck!:Pinkbounc
