Chef's Table Cost (V&A)

Does anyone know how much the Chef's Table costs at Victoria and Alberts? How does it differ from what is offered at a standard table (other than you are in the kitchen)?

I've read the thread by Mr Disney, but I have also seen others post here that they had what sounds like the exact same meal and were not seated at the Chef's Table...

I think the price is still $100 per person at the chef's table.

I *think* it is about $145 for the chefs table, but not sure, it os def more, You get the same menu as in the main dining room, but you get to taste some of all of it, along with interaction with the chef etc. They may also adapt dishes to suit you tastes and you could get different things as well.

The current price for the Chef's Table is $150 and if you want the wine pairing that is an additional $65. Plus of course 6.5% Sales Tax and gratuity. An of course that is per person.

The reason the menu appears similar is you get a sampling of just about everything served in the main dining room. This includes some of the regularly extra cost items such as the Iranian Oestra Caviar, Foie Gras, and Kobe Beef.

And you get multiple desserts!

And you can easily be in there well over 3+ hours!!
When we did the Chefs table we got there at 6:00 and were out (and VERY full) at about 9:30 or so--.

150 pp plus 65 for wine pairing. Plus tax and tip

It is wonderful because you get to try just about everything on the menu.

As Cheshire Figment said, you also get multiple desserts....although I SOOOO wish they would get creative with the desserts and change the offers a little!

I agree!! Those same desserts have been on the V&A menu for years--

I thought I remembered reading last year that they have some sort of banana desert that is awesome. Do they still have that? Sorry I don't remember the exact name, but people here raved about it!

Caramelized Banana Gateau.
Has been on the menu for at least 3 years now--and probably a lot longer.
