Chefs de France

Advice: do not read the thread titled "And the CM asked why they didn't comp my meals."

We're eating there in June and we're looking forward to it.

We ate there last week and everyone thought it was really good. Plus, Remy is there right now and he was adorable. His handler is great.

I,too, have been going to disney for decades and had never experienced this resturant and now I have been there twice in the past year.

At the podeum I experienced the very straight laced host. It's most definately a stereo-type on my part, but it fit right into my experience. Once inside our server was absolutely attentive. She was very nice and answered any of my questions.

The overall experience is fantastic! The resturant is a big on the loud side because the tables are very close, but the meals are fabulous. On my 1st experience I had the lobster bisque, the steak with homemade au gratin potatos for dinner and then the creme brulee for dessert. I could not find anything to complain about at all. The food was prepared just to my liking.

On my 2nd visit I spent lunch here. The menu at lunch is a bit abbreviated. On this trip I had the homemade mac and cheese which was to die for. Again I had the lobster bisque and it was just as good as I remembered.

Epcot has so many good resturaunts and this one has been added to my must see list.

we ate there for lunch a few weeks ago and loved the food! My DD and I split the homemade Mac & Cheese, and I agree, it was to die for! The french onion soup was also amazing. We loved seeing Remy, he was the highlight of our trip. Our server, however was terrible. I wasn't sure if it was a French thing, but he was very serious and it took him forever for everything. When he brought my DD's choco milk, he forgot her straw (she won't drink without a straw). I asked him immediately for the straw, and he said he'd be right back, and ten minutes later and my DD getting very upset he finally shows up. It also took a good 10 minutes to get a refill on my soda. It was not busy in there either. I just assumed that service in France must be more relaxed than service in the US? It did not break our lunch though. We would go back again as the food and atmosphere were outstanding! :thumbsup2

We like it. We ate there during our December trip and most of us had a steak dish that was very good. I like the dinner selections better than the lunch selections. The atmosphere is very nice.

It is worth a try at least once. We have gone to Chefs for the past 2 years. The first year being better than the second. The French onion soup is very good. Our entrees this past year were just so-so. I do enjoy the atmosphere more than the food.

The only reason I would go back now is for lunch, I'd like to try the toasted ham & cheese sandwich (Croque monsieur).

We're eating there next weekend. I wasn't crazy about the menu and frankly, all I really want to do is see Remy! :cutie:

Chefs was a very nice restaurant. I loved my entree (we've been twice but I tried the gruyere macaroni and cheese and it was really good). The tables are very close together, though! Haven't gone since Remy and we really want to see him. :thumbsup2
