I have an adr reservation for here and do not know what to expect. Is it worth going to?

It's very casual French. We had an excellent lunch there in Augsut, and this is one of my DS's favorite places in WDW. Because the servers are French, the pace is very French, and I can tell you the servers have a formal demeanor which is different than Americans sometimes expect, our experiences have been positive. We'll be there again this August.

We love Chefs & go there more often than any other WDW restaurant. We enjoy both the food & atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. It is definitely worth going to.

We had dinner there in December and were very pleased. Our server was a lovely young woman named Julie who had only been there 3 weeks. She was an excellent server and very friendly. We found the service at Les Chefs to be more personable than Tutto Italia.

Guess we will give it a go we are there for ten days :cool1: and wanted to try something new. Just worried since I got 4 people coming that have never been.

My experience was probably not the norm - I even wrote guest services about it. I posted a review in the reviews section here.

We ate there Dec 21 2008 - basically only got our soup and after two hours, left without eating our entrees. It was awful. I mean awful.

Sounds like most folks have great experiences there. I do think the onion soup was good. Don't order the filet!

We had dinner there for the first time last trip, we had a ball. The young man at the podium was funny, cordial and entertaining overall. We had a wonderful young lady server and she loved the fact that we tried to speak french, in fact we all had a laugh at our attempt at it. The food was fantastic, but the desserts were to die for. We are going back for sure.

DH & I had an awful experience in January and I will never bother with this place again. The soup and escargots were very good, but the food took forever - Poeple who were seated well after us were served before we were. When we did get our meals, my braised short ribs were not hot, only a smidge above room temperature. And the choice of pairing it with plain buttered noodles proved as odd as I had expected (it really needed to be HOT, with a decent gravy, and served with a mash of some sort). DH's duck was cold and unappetizing. And, after we had our meals for 10 mintues, the waiter started in with asking us "are you finished yet?" and wanting to take our plates away.

I hope your meal is better. I can get much better French food without the hassle here at home. We have a really excellent brasierre, and had I known Les Chefs was so bad, I would have booked Biergarten.

We were there last week and have mixed feelings. This has to be one of the most popular restaurants so it is always crowded and some of the seating is very close to other tables. Ours was so close that the waiter could not serve some of our party and we all kept passing things along. Not a big deal but if its a romatic dinner, this may not be the place (or the table).
We also loved the soups, French onion and lobster bisque.
We werent really crazy about the main course and the desserts. Creme brulee was bland as well as a pastry puff with ice cream and chocolate sauce.

It may have been what we ordered or that we were so looking forward to this but Chefs really didn't hit the mark for us.

We also ate in Tutto Italia which we liked and Marakesh, which we loved.

We will probably give Chefs another chance on our next trip and do a bit more research on what meals people really enjoy there.

In a word, yep.

And, in another one of those "funny things" - last time we were there, I had the filet, and it was cooked perfectly, just the right temperature, and everyone else's entrees were just fine.

Go figure.

We love it too. Filet was the best at Disney and the best I had had in a long time. We are going back for Easter Dinner this year.

My dh loved it- I was not crazy about it. EXCEPT for the french onino soup which is wonderful! it was actually very kid frinedly and pretty noisy which i didnt expect. I also really liked desserts and nothing specific to complain about- i think i just didnt like my entree choice.

For the most part if you're having a romantic dinner there will only be two of you, so no passing of the plate.
On that note, when my partner and I went there for our anniversary we were seated in the section near the outer windows and had a beautiful view of the fireworks from Illuminations. That was very romantic.

We're always a party of 3 or 4, & have never had to pass plates. That must only be for large parties. Also, we've never gotten one of the window tables. Are those only for parties of 2? You would think we would have been seated there at some point considering how many times we've eaten at Chefs.
