My Disbuddies always come through with the good recommendations! We are trying this restaurant out for the first time.. What's good on the dinner menu?

We like to go at lunch and get the fixed price luncheon. The Ham and Cheese Sandwich is so much for than a sandwich -- it is a 3 decker delight. We have also had the quiche which is really good. This a good way to go to the restaurant and keep down the cost.

Prix Fixe 3 Courses Menu
$20.00
No substitutions

Soupe a l' oignon gratinee - Onion soup topped with Gruyere cheese

OR

Bisque de Homard - lobster bisque $6.25

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Croque monsieur et sa salade verte - classic French toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a green salad
OR

Quiche Lorraine - ham and cheese quiche

OR

Gratin de Macaroni - Baked macaroni with cream and gruyere cheese

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Creme brulee - vanilla creme brulee and a madeleine

OR

Profiteroles au chocolat - Puff choux with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce

The duck is always my favorite, but the filet has also been very good in the past. The flatbread with bacon, creme fraiche and onions is pretty awesome.

Great question! We'll be trying this out for the first time as well this fall! I'm getting hungry just reading this thread!

this was the best thing we had on our whole trip.

Salade de chevre chaud - Baked goat cheese with walnuts, fresh grapes, tomatoes, endives and arugula salad $8.50

then the short Ribs or the duck.

We love Chefs I could drink most of the sauces they use,not real lady like but I have thought about ;)

Been reading these posts all night and I think I messed up. I just wrote to another thread about the menu and asked for a picture of the ham and cheese sandwhich. So maybe you all can help me out on this thread? It always sounds like an ordinary grilled ham and cheese to me so I am curious is to what it looks like and why it is so special?
Thanks!

Escargot, beef short ribs, creme brulee..and champagne!!:woohoo:
