If you've eaten here, what can you tell me about the experiences? Thanks for your help.

Bistro is much more Fine Dining while Chefs is production line and they try to get you out as soon as possible.

Bistro does not take any Dining Plan (although they do accept the TiW discount).

Bistro does not encourage the presence of small children, although for the last year or so they do make the Chef's children's menu available on request. Personally I wish they would do away with this practice.

And many people consider it the best Dining in WDW after V&A.

I agree plus, I feel that Chefs de France has gone a little downhill in recent trips

My family (three adults) ate at Les Chefs last December for an early dinner. As the PP's have said, the atmosphere inside is fairly casual - you'll see lots of families with children. Two of us ordered the prix fixe menu (onion soup, beef short ribs, and profiteroles) and the third had the steak with peppercorn sauce. Unlike many people, we actually like Les Chefs and did not feel that it's gone downhill in the last few years (we had a bad experience in 2007, so the more recent visits have been a marked improvement). Our dinner took about 90 minutes, but we did not feel rushed. Everything was paced nicely (i.e., entrees did not show up before the soup and the server did not press us for our dessert orders). Likewise, we have not had problems with unfriendly servers; our last server was very nice and made a special effort to ensure that Remy would visit our table (which was in the corner, blocked in by other tables and chairs).

Also, if you time it right, Remy (from Ratatouille) visits diners. He's a little audio-animatronics figure that's pushed around the restaurant by a server (actor). He squeaks and the "server" interprets for him. It's very cute. Just note that he only comes out at specific times and he makes one circuit of the restaurant each time, so if you’re not at your table when he comes by, he does not come back.

Finally, Les Chefs takes both TIW and the DDP.

We agree with CF's take on these two places.

But we will say that lunch at Chef's is better than dinner. Last year, my wife and I had occasion to eat that both these places within a few days of each other on the same visit. You may want to read the review I wrote at the time.

Thank you. I did read your review. It pretty well confirmed our decision. We have a 7:30 reservation at the Bistro. Maybe we will be fortunate enough to enjoy a peek of Illuminations during our meal.

Thanks to everyone for your input.

I just went to the Bistro sat night and I hope you have as fabulous of time as I did...if you can make your reservation a little bit later say 8 and request a window seat you will have the pleasure of watching the fireworks. Vincent was our server and was quite rushed but once we told him we were in no hurry life was wonderful. We had the goat cheese w sundried tomato app, I had the venison and it truely melted in my mouth, my friend had the pork (I'm not the fan but the truffle stuffing was yummy)...oh I almost forgot the chef sent out some cheese bread w a taste of greens w a vinegrette dressing very good but not everyone rec'd it, not sure why we did?? Oh and we had the crepe duo for desert and I am so glad we split it as it was I was so full. Vincent recommended a wonderful wine to go with each of our meals and everything was perfect. By the time we left Epcot was closed and it was even nicer to leave without the hussle and bustle of everyone leaving at once. By the way they don't cram you in here like they do at the other rest, you have your own space. Enjoy your trip and enjoy the Bisto!
