Well I really wanted to get a ressie for the night we arrived and when I called to make the ressie, the CM informed me that they could not seat us all together and they would try their best to sit us next to each other, but couldn't promise anything. She made it sound like you could not sit 7 at a table in the whole resturaunt. Is this true? Has anyone booked a party for 7 and sat all together at a table?

This is my parent's first time going to Disney and I would hate to think I would have to pass a note 5 tables down and ask "What do you think, isn't Disney awesome!!!" :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think they should be able to put two tables together for you. We're 5, and we were at a large round table that seated 6. I'm not sure if they can squeeze in another chair there, or not.

Also, I had a party of 6 before, and we were on separate reservations with the no guarantee you can sit together notation at both Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. We sat together. Really, I would not worry about it too much.

They have to say that and the restaurant does try to seat you all together.Be advised though that at Chefs de france has many tables pretty much on top of each other which may make a difference as to why they said that.It is quite cramped

Thanks so much for your input. Maybe I will just take a chance and book it. My daughter really wants to try this place. I would just hate to be split up on our first night :guilty:

Some restaurants just don't have tables that are bigger than six top. And those six top table might be limited (one restaurant where I made a reservation for ten only had two six top tables). So, to accommodate seven people, two tables will have to be utilized. Disney does a fantastic job of seating parties together so I wouldn't worry about it. They do have to tell you that you could be split up just in case there is a problem and it's necessary. However, that rarely happens.

Now watch someone pop on here and tell all about their one experience where it did happen.

I just saw that you have the POR banner too, looks like we will be there at the same time. :cool1: Just wanted to say hi! We are going to Chef de France too, but not until 9/11. Have a wonderful trip!
