I really want to try this restaurant on our trip in a couple weeks but I'm very concerned about the kids menu. It looks like at lunch they have Chicken strips & pasta for kids but on the dinner menu all they have is flounder & "orange roughy" which I believe is another type of fish.

Has anyone eaten there recently & if so were they able to order anything else for their kids? We're only going for a long weekend so I can't fit this in our plans for lunch.

The adult menu looks really good and I really want to try somewhere new on this trip.

I've been looking at this also. The menue on allears.net lists chicken strips and ground beef in bun as well as flounder. But no orange roughy.

Anyone know if Remy is there during dinner? Though I read somewhere that he stops coming out at 5.

Here's what AllEars shows for dinner for children:

Entrees

Blanc de Poulet Aux Nouilles - Breaded chicken strip served with pasta $7.00

Croquette de Boeuf en Brioche - Ground beef steak in a brioche bun, served with French fries $8.00

Filet de Limande Saute avec Haricots Vert et Tomates - Pan roasted flounder served with green beans and tomatoes $8.00

Basically you have pasta with chicken fingers (I've seen pictures with the sauce served on the side and the chicken fingers are breaded tenders), a hamburger w/ fries or fish with veggies.

At for Remy, he appears several times a day with his last round around 5-5:30 (not sure of the exact time). We made a 4:30 ADR in hopes of seeing him.

The best thing about the Chefs de France kids dinner was the cheese puff pastry with side salad - I actually would have eaten the whole thing and skipped my dinner! The rest of our dinner was just so-so. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and it was not a great dinner. The food was not as good as it should have been, the wait staff made us feel like they were too good for us, and our table was not cleared as we would finish up plates. So I won't be going back until I hear something has changed.

I agree with this. The cheese puff pastry with the side salad was great - and a large portion (especially for a child appetizer). The entree for the kids was completely forgettable. I think they each had a couple of bites and were done. The kids' desserts were also dissapointing. It was either a cookie or ice cream. Given how good the desserts are at the counter service next door, these were just lame choices.

We had really good service (at lunch - it's the same menu for kids and most of the items are the same at lunch). But that's where the good news end. The food was just so boring. Chefs is probably the only restaurant at Disney I will not be returning unless I see a major overhaul of the menu.
