For one of our Epcot days, we want to do a meal at Chefs de France and a meal at Akershus. Since we have the dining plan we are using a TS meal for both lunch and dinner. My question is - do you think one or the other is better for lunch or for dinner? We were going to do Akershus for lunch and Chefs for dinner, but I was curious if anyone else had any opinions on their lunch/dinner menus and any recommendations.

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

Never been to Akershus for lunch or dinner, but I love Chefs de France for lunch (and will be having lunch there 17 days from now, if all goes according to plan!).

Depends on if you are looking to get the best $$$ value from your DDP or just use it to make life a little easier.

If you are looking to get the best $$$ value from it, I would do Akershus for lunch and Les Chef's for dinner, since lunch at Akershus is going to be more expensive than lunch at Les Chef's, Akershus lunch will cost you about $35 for an adult and Les Chef's prix fix lunch menu costs about $20 (not saying you will use the prix fix menu, just used it as something to compair).

Also, both meals can be pretty rich and filling depending on what is ordered. Might I suggest getting a late breakfast ADR for Akershus and an average-later dinner time for Les Chef's? If you book these as lunch and dinner, you may not be able to space them out far enough apart, which could ruin the dinner experience.

Another thought, since you mentioned Epcot days (as in more than one) would be to do the 2 meals on different days. Maybe do Les Chef's on the day/night you plan on exploring the WS and do Akershus on the other day since Norway isn't too too far into the WS.

Thanks, that helps! Our other day in Epcot we did want to try Coral Reef. But I didn't think about breakfast, that's a good idea too, I will look into that. My other thought was to do an early lunch (around 11) and a late dinner (around 8). Everyone seems to like Les Chefs for lunch, so I will look into the menu. Thanks for posting everyone!

We went to Chefs last year for dinner and were disappointed. Was not as good as the last ime we went (4 yrs ago) so maybe lunch will be a better choice.

We did Norway for dinner 2 years ago and LOVED it. The appetizer bar was wonderful and the dinner choices delicious. I've haven't been for lunch recently, so can't tell you about that.
