Chef Mickey's

I've been reading that there is construction going on near Chef Mickey's. Is it really that noisy? We are going to Chef Mickey's in May. Will the construction be completed by then?

Hello! We were at Chef Mickey's in August and honestly did not notice the noise. It was so noisy in the restaurant itself! However, we absolutely had a fantastic time there. It was so much fun! Can't comment on whether or not the construction will be done...I am not sure on that.

We were just there last week and noticed no noise at all. The food was less than great though. :-(

I am at the Contemporary right now and the only construction happening on the 4th floor by Chef Mickey's is them building the new Outer Rim Lounge, however that construction has no effect on Chef Mickey's and not been a problem at all.

It was when we were there about 10 days ago. And when I say "noisy", I mean full blown jackhammering...this at 9:30 AM on December 10th.

They tried to put us in the "exterior" (bordering the grab and go/old Concourse Steakhouse area), which was RIGHT next to the construction. I told our hostess that was NOT going to work....it was WAY too loud.

Instead, we got an interior table, where the noise was not QUITE as bad....but you could certainly still hear it. It was worse when you went out to the buffet to get your food, but still loud enough at the table that it drowned out the normal cacophany that we expect at Chef Mickey's (happy kids and familes talking..that loud "white noise" that goes with the territory), which meant THAT was even louder, as everyone tried to shout over the jackhammers.

HOPEFULLY, by May, things will have gotten MUCH better. Who knows...maybe it was a one day (or a couple day) thing. As it is, though,...our window for ADR's is supposed to start (assuming they get the new system up and running) sometime in March for our September trip. Unless I hear the construction is done (or mostly done)...we may skip it this time.

Just there a couple of weeks ago for the 3rd time. Noise, no issue! Food however was lousy! Service was not as great as in the past. Characters were good but rushed. First two times were fun. This year turned us off. We will not dine there again.

We went in June...there was contruction then too. and When your there, you don't even notice much less hear anything.
