I was watching the show that the Food Channel had on last week about food at WDW. They showed a segment at Chef Mickey's where kid can design or make their own desert. Is this included in the dinner buffet? The show was there for breakfast.

I don't remember if Chef Mickey's still has that or not. However that show is from at least 2 years ago, so if they don't have this anymore it has not been updated.

I figured that it had to be at least from 2007 or earlier since the still referred to Hollywood studios by its previous name.

We have been to Chef Mickey's for dinner and my children chose a cupcake, frosting, and a bunch of candy toppings. They loved it. That particular trip was several years ago. But we were at Chef Mickey's for breakfast in May and the candy area is still there (in fact DD ate a bowl of gummy bears with her breakfast ~roll eyes~) so I assume the same option at dinner still exists. (Not sure if that was what you were talking about but it was included with our dinner).

I was wondering the same thing when I saw that episode on Food Network. We're going for dinner and really was hoping they still offered that.

The past two years we've had dinner here and they have a great dessert "bar" .. make your own sundae, chocolate covered oreo's etc. It's hard to keep the kids away from it all as it's sweet tooth nirvana!

We were there in May for dinner and they were not doing it anymore, or at least not the night we were there. They just had a regular dessert bar set up with several mini cakes and cookies and ice cream.

We were there last week, and they had the make your own sundaes, with lots of different toppings, and a regular dessert bar.

I saw that show too! We were at Chef Mickey's in 2002 when they did have an area set up where kids could decorate their own cupcakes.

It was set along the area where it is a low bar area near where you have pics done and where guests wait for their table to be ready.

I haven't seen them do it since and we have been every September since. LOL Too bad since my oldest DD really enjoyed doing it.
