Hello,

Which you recommend Chef Mickey's or Tusker House for breakfast? Are the same characters there? We are doing it more for the experience for my dd3, but also want to be able to eat somewhat decent food. I have heard such mixed reviews on Chef Mickey's, but haven't heard anything bad about Tusker House, so I am considering changing my ADR.

Thanks in advance!

Tusker House. Tusker House, Tusker House, Tusker House. Instead of getting your photo taken with a ridiculous statue of Mickey, you get it taken with a real "live" Donald, and it's the only meal with Daisy. No Minnie there, but Minnie is at Cape May Cafe, which is LOADS better than Chef Mickey's and always less crowded. At Cape May the characters actually SIT down at your table with you and spend some time, it's not rushed, and they visit multiple times. Chef Mickey is just a zoo.

Food quality, Tusker House just about blows all of the other breakfasts away with its selections. Try the cheese blintzes, they are phenominal. We did nearly every character meal you can do at Disney in September, and Tusker House for breakfast is the only one we re-booked.

We chose Tusker House for the simple fact that we aren't staying at the Cont. Resort and we didn't want to have to drag the kids to a resort and then to AK for the day. And, I think the characters all look cute in their safari clothes!

Thanks, think I will go with Tusker House. I am sad they don't have Minnie there, but hopefully we will catch her in Toontown at MK.

Minnie was there, at Tusker House Breakfast, last time we were there in Dec 2009. We had Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Mickey, Minnie come to the table.
We always make a point of eating at Tusker House on every trip. We always try at least a couple new places each year, but so far TH has not been overthrown from top spot for breakfast at WDW. Number two is Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast. Always a good time had by all.
Enjoy TH! Try the jungle juice! Yummy!

TUSKER HOUSE!! We did both last trip. I really wanted to do Chef Mickey's because I heard it was the "must do" character meal. I was so unimpressed, we'll never do it again. Tusker House, we'll do every trip from now on. And the juice, that right there is the icing on the cake.

My 20 year-old son and I did Tusker House for the first time this past June and we loved loved it!! I just made our ADR's for May so that my DH and 17 year-old son (both of whom chose not to join us last trip) can experience it this trip. I drank enough of that wonderful juice to float a boat!! Can't wait to return!! :thumbsup2

Here comes the Chef Mickey's hater.......

Skip the crap at CM's and head to Tusker House! Great food, great setting, great characters........ :thumbsup2

We've never been to Chef Mickey's, but we have been to TH for breakfast more than once and loved it. We aren't big breakfast people and found so many things we liked! The characters and the morning ritual of greeting the sun was very cute too.

Crystal Palace the food was better then both of the ones you have asked about and you get to see Ti double g er but if the choice is limited to just the 2 you asked Id say its a toss up i got a bowl of cereal my 2nd trip up at tusker house ... yeah the stuff looked that good I did like the blintzes the juice is interesting but not my favorite but as anyone who has ever read any of my reviews knows im not a huge fan of breakfast buffets in general the biggest plus side is not having to wait in line for those characters pics or autographs

Tusker House by far! Came home and immediately made reservations for our next two trips. The menu is just so different than everywhere else. Chef Mickey is good if you cannot get it. I now understand why Tusker House is hard to get ---- it was delightful.

I can't say enough good things about Tusker House. We are annual passholders and during the winter months we go about once a week. We recently gave Chef Mickey's another try and the only thing I could say when we left was we should have gone to Tusker House. The food is far better, the seating and character rotation is more efficient than other character breakfasts (We've done them all at least twice), and the wait staff just seems happier to be there!

The OP asked about Chef Mickey's or Tusker house, so I chose between those two. If you throw Crystal Palace in the mix, I still vote Tusker House. I like CP, just not as much as TH.

Tusker house! Dont know Chef Mickey's is for breakfast the dinner we had was garbage.

We enjoyed Tusker house! plus a added bonus you can go on the safri right after you breakfast!
