On our last trip my dd4 was quite anxious about characters, so we only ate at CRT. By the end of the trip, of course she was character crazy. For our next trip I'd like to book a few character meals:LTT, CRT again, CP and possibly Chef Mickey's. It seems alot of people really like Chef Mickey's. Could you tell me what makes this particular experience so fun? Is it the food, the atmosphere, the characters, something else? Is there a particular meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) that you would recommend? Any insights would be great. Thanks!!

We ate there for breakfast this past Sept for the 1st time & LOVED it! It quickly became one of our favorite places. The food was good: standard breakfast buffet - no complaints. The characters: can't beat the fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy). The character interaction was very good. They spent plenty of time with us & we even saw some characters twice. The atmosphere was good: nice, open atmosphere & fun too. At one point the characters paraded around to a song. The service was also good - no complaints. We really enjoyed Chef Mickey's & can't wait to eat there again this Sept.

We have Chef Mickey's booked for our arrival night dinner. I would love to do the breakfast but we're not big breakfast eaters so I wanted to make the most of the meal. We had dinner there last year and really enjoyed it. Have a great trip! :goodvibes

We LOVE Chef Mickeys:banana: . The food is very good and the character interaction is great:thumbsup2. We always do a breakfast and a dinner every trip:goodvibes.

I agree 100% with this. CM is my fav character meal! And during that song, everyone waves their napkin around, and if you look up you can see the mousekeeping people waving around towels too on almost every floor. It is an amazing site to see. I love CM!

The main attraction here is the "napkin dance". A lot of fun.

My kids are 14, 18, and 19 and they made sure I booked this place for our trip again.

We did CM last year in Sept... and the whole family decided that was the only way to start off our WDW vacations! We are going again in Aug/Sept. and this was the one meal everyone said we HAD to do and we got it for the night of our arrival. (DD6, DD9, DS17, DS19)

LOVED the food! LOved The Characters, LOved the atmosphere, Loved the Napkin dance! Did I mention that we LOVE CMs? ;)

I totally understand where you are coming from with the character crazed daughter :rotfl2: I too have one and we have to do all the character meals :rolleyes1

I did not care for chef mickey's dinner. I only did it once and that was enough for me :rotfl: We had really bad service, the food was blah and it was so crowded with kids running EVERYWHERE you couldn't hear yourself think!

As my DD HAD to go back we tried CM's at breakfast and had a wonderful time!!!! It wasn't near as crowded (we had early ADRS) and the food was really good. The server was also great. The breakfast changed my mind and we are planning on eating breakfast there again in June.

I enjoyed LTT a lot. It has a lot of the same characters as CM's though so if your trying to get as many possible characters... it might not be the best stradegy to do both CM and LTT... but I am really not sure about how important it is for you to get as many different characters as possible.

They have a playhouse Disney breakfast at DHS that she might like too.

MY DD can't live without eating at CRT once our trip. It's a very magical moment for her. :thumbsup2

Another character meal to seriously think about is Garden Grill in Epcot. This is my family's FAV character meal!!!!
If you ask for a booth... you get a nice view of the Living with the land ride while you eat. A bonus is the boots are VERY high backed so there is a lot of privacy. You get Mickey, Pluto chip N dale all to yourself when they come to your table!!! It is the best set up for character interaction as there aren't a 100 other kids running around your table and in your pics. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2

This is a tradition for us for every trip. We do the breakfast and the kids love it. We find the food very good and very filling. We want to try the dinner also but this year we got in late due to plane problems so we had to cancel it. Hopefully we can book it for next time. You can't go wrong with this choice:woohoo:
