On Aug. 24th(first day for free dining) I really want to go to Chef Mickeys for dinner but they are booked solid.

I have Yaki and Yeti booked but not to sure if everyone in our group will like it.

There are 12 and a baby should I take a chance with stand by?

I was going to suggest being at Chef Mickey's at whatever time they start serving dinner -- then I saw that you are a party of 12. That probably won't work.

Keep trying for reservations, people change their plans constantly, you never know when something will open up.

Post your intended dates on the Aug trade ADR thread..but I would say it is a very slim shot with a party of 12....sorry ;)

Don't forget that starting Aug 24 (because of free dining) they have opened up lunch at Chef Mickey's. Have you tried asking for a late lunch? Some of the CM's didn't seem aware that they were offering that yet.

Other than that I think your chances are pretty slim with a party of 12. Are you willing to split up at all? I wonder if that would help.

If you really want to go to Chef Mickey's then I suggest you be in line by 4:30 the latest. 4:15 If you can. I have done this many of times with a party of 7 and didn't have a problem. You might have to wait but if you really want to go then that's what you need to do. Good Luck!:thumbsup2

With how popular the Disney Dining Plan has got walking in at a restaurant like Chef Mickey's has become very hard to do and I think during free dining it will be even harder. Now you can always try because you never know, however don't be surprised if your turned away.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have done a walk up before but never with a group this large.
