In all our trips to WDW, we have never been to Chef Mickey's. We will be going this year before MNSSHP with a large group.

I would love some feedback on dinner from those who have eaten their recently. Thanks.

we were just there last week- and i hate to say but the food was horrible. it was cold and not a big selection (compared to someone who ate there 3 days earlier- we had no less than 4 less entries.)

that being said- we would still do it- we go for the characters :)

We went August 20th for dinner and it was our first time since the restaurant moved from DTD-it's been a LONG time! LOL! :rotfl:

Anyway, we made an early seating so we were there for the opening. The food was fresh and hot as it was just being put out when we arrived. It was not terribly crowded and the lines for the buffet were MUCH more managable than the chaos of the Crystal Palace (where the food WAS better than CM, but to get to it was a major hassle with incredibly long lines!).

My girls loved the character interaction and we got plenty of it from the Fab 5!

We will eat here again and we will purposely go right when they open since I hear horrible things about later seatings!

I hated it here! If you feel you need to try it ,I hear breakfast is much better.

We did both breakfast and dinner backin July an loved both. We have done breakfast many times, but this was only our second dinner. We have not had a bad experience yet. :thumbsup2

I agree with the poster above-- go early! We went for the first sitting times too-- and it was GREAT! The food was hot, plenty to go around and very good. The characters had plenty of visits to our table because the restaurant wasn't as packed. We would definitely do it again that way.

(we also did the LTT dinner early before MVMCP and loved that too)

have a great trip-- jen

dont go. I've been there multiple times since I was a kid. Probably 20+ times now and im only 25. But that place went through multiple remodels in the early 90s, they had it right with the 1st remodel, but the food has just gone way down hill.

If you want good food head to the polynesian or floridian if you're on the monorail route, or the yacht and beach clubs if you have a car or whatnot.

Thanks to all for the feedback. We do have an early reservation. I think we'll try it. We have 3 little ones in our group and I'm sure they will love the characters.

Its not just the characters they'll love its the singing, napkin waving, monorail rumbling above. I call it sanctioned rowdiness and the kids seem to absolutely love it even before they are ever seated for the meal! Oh and don't forget the sundae bar, just a sugar coma waiting to happen! By the way the big ones seem to like the chaos and sugar too! ;)
