Okay folks,
The family and I are staying at the AKL and are planning on making reservations for mid morning at chef mickeys. My question if we drive, first can we park at the resort, and if so can we leave the car there at then head to The Magic Kingdom after breakfast via the monorail. Not looking to get away with anything just wanting to know if this is allowed or not.

Yes you can park
No you're not supposed to park for the rest of the day BUT is not clear how the resort enforce parking for restaurant only, better be safe and park at TTC and take the monorail to Contemporary or take the bus to MK and then go from there

PP is correct - you can't leave your car there and go to a park - but, if you pay to valet before your breakfast, then you can.

If you are paying for Valet parking at AKL, you can valet park at other deluxe resorts at no additional charge..

Valet parking is available at the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge resorts.

The valet parking fee at Walt Disney World resort deluxe hotels is $25. Once paid, however, you can use valet parking for the entire day at any resort that offers it without paying the fee again - show the day's valet receipt at the next resort to avoid being charged again.

Really, thats great! To be clear I can drive to chef mickey's then pay for valet parking and then leave the car there the entire day, and this okay to do, not a workaround?

Yep - for $25 you're paying to leave your car there for the whole day.

It's an acceptable practice. At times Valet is full and you will be turned away. It is $25 per day plus tip.
