Chef Mickey's Question

It's been years(probably about 20 of them) since we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's. I snagged a 10:15 am reservation for our trip in a week and we are going to take our teens with us.

Our plans are for a night at Hollywood Studios and the Star Wars Fireworks. We have some Fast Passes over there starting around 5 pm. So I am asking this,
About how long do you think the breakfast takes at Chef Mickey's? I know it's a buffet but 'of course we want to wait for our table visits.

First off, this is for the last week of August so I don't think crowds will be a big issue.
Should we change our Fast passes to Magic Kingdom, and then just take our chances at HS that night?

Or maybe just book 2 MK fast passes and then choose then try to add Toy Story for later that night at HS after we tap our magic bands into our 2nd MK Fast Pass. It looks like there is plenty of availability for it.

Hopefully someone has been there more recently than me but I seem to recall it being about 40 minutes to see everyone when we were there.

No breakfast experience, but our dinner at Chef Mickeys this past June lasted 1 and 1/2 hours. I probably wouldn't try to make any FP+'s at MK before 12:15. Have fun!

It was an hour for us plus they were behind for some reason. We had to meet Mickey at the front on the way out.

We always allow 90 minutes to two hours for Chef Mickey. We have had to wait to get checked in and then wait to be seated many times. Then waited for all the characters to make their rounds. A few trips to the buffet and a few napkin twirling parades and it's two hours later. It's better to allow more time than feel rushed.

I loved your statement that this being the last week of August that the crowds won't be a big issue. We go down every year and believe me, crowds are always an issue. I long for the days during the 200's when travel was way down following the 9-11 tragic event. We could walk down the middel of Main Street with our eyes closed and not walk into a person. Those days are long gone and attendance numbers keep increasing every year. As for Chef Mickeys, if meeting all of the characters is not a big priority-don't worry about it. It usually takes 40-60 minutes for the characters to make a full round.
