Chef Mickey's party of 12 over $430!!!

We have been there 4 times in 3 trips and will be going again for my son's birthday in November. It is his choice - both boys absolutely love it there. We have never had an issue with the food - nothing special but it is what it is. But they LOVE the desserts - make your own ice cream sundaes, giant cookies, brownies. Again, is it anything special? Not really, but it's what they love.

Plus, we have had some of our most magical character interactions there. Got picked as family of the night the first time, boys got to open the restaurant and Mickey himself escorted us to our table. DS's 6th birthday was there with a fancy Star Wars cake and all, and Pluto made a point of hanging with us for quite a while.

We've always gone on DDP though, so cost has not been an issue.

I'll pipe in and say any character meal is better as a breakfast , and on that note , for a quieter setting , better food and character interaction , I would reccomend Cape May breakfast buffet with Minnie , Donald and goofy , I would eat at this buffet even if there were no characters , the food is that good.

It's one of our favorites also.

All character meals are priced with the thought you're paying for the food and the character experience. If the character aspect of the meal doesn't suit you, then it won't be worth it and you can get a better meal for the price at Le Cellier or one of the dinner shows (Hoop Dee Do or Spirit of Aloha).

The food isn't the best on property, but it's certainly not the worst either. Obviously everyone has had different experiences at CM. We've been there two or three times and never had a problem, food was hot and good, meat wasn't dried out at the carving station, etc. I've been to other meals at Cinderella's or Askershus where it wasn't worth it.

personally I did not enjoy CM...CP is much better, the food is better, the character interaction is better all around.....:thumbsup2

Cape Mays is also my families favorite character breakfast. The food was good, the character interaction was great and we have so many good memories and pictures from that experience. We had 10 in our party, but we were on the dining plan.

Haven't read the whole thread, but I say NO WAY! Did not like CM at all.

Being able to see all of the Fab 5 is great, but I don't think that the food is worth over $400 for your group.

I was there this week. The food was fine and i actually once again realized that many reviews here on the dis, while helpful are also a bit more than jaded. I've never been and i would go again. I thought the food was good and my money was paying for the experience not just the meal.

Would the dining plan work better for you in terms of saving money?
