Chef Mickey's or Whispering Canyon?

here's the scenario ....

we (2 adults + DD8) disney freaks are on a "low budget" trip this august
staying on pts at OKW studio (we are planning 3 trips within a 12mth period)

we will be joined by WDW virgins (2 adults DD8 DS6)

on their arrival day the virgins want to eat "somewhere fun" -- they were thinking Chef mickeys which they did on their first and only other WDW trip (5/03)

we'll probably only be eating one "sit down" meal together

i was thinking WC at WL .... fun, right? and food (IMO) is better
but no Mickey Mouse ... or anybody fuzzy.

what would you say to swing them over to WC .... or is chef mickey's a better choice.

Wispering Canyon was our very first Disney meal. Its great fun! And the older kids will probably enjoy it more than Chef Mickey's.

I think the adults would prefer WC but the kids would prefer CM.....we just went to WC for the first time and loved it! It was so much fun!! I think WC is a more fun atmosphere, but CM really gets you in the Disney mood. I guess if I was only doing one sit down meal with this group I would choose CM.....food is about the same at both IMO....have fun!
