For our upcoming trip in June we have made all of our ADR's for dinner. We also have our plans for other meals. The only one we have decided on is for breakfast our last morning there. Last year, we had dinner at Chef Mickey's and really enjoyed the character interaction and DS 6 had a blast. We have heard good things about Ohana too and DS 6 is a huge Lilo and Stitch fan (he made is go through Stitch's Great Escape at least 7 times last year). Which do you think would be better and why? Thanks for your help!!

My vote is for Chef Mickeys. We love it,even the adults do.We have had other character meals and still keep going back to Chef Mickeys.I will saw that we have not done Ohana's character meal.Chef Mickeys is great for all ages and our last trip we made sure that we had both breakfast and dinner there, with a family of 7 (6 adults and 1 child). We love that there is so much fun always going on and that there are several characters always going from table to table. We will still do other character meals but Chef Mickeys is a MUST for us.Plus we love their food choices better. What I would give for a meal there now.Have a great time and go to Ohana's and try it if you want a change and because of the character,as long as your child is happy either one should be great.

Chef Mickey's most definatly. It's a tradition that the first full day we are there we go to Chef Mickey's. Good food and its just a good place to be. My vote will always be for Chef Mickey's

My vote is for Chef Mickey's as well. We have eaten there and it has been the best character meal that I have had. Good food and lots of interaction with the characters. Go and enjoy!

Well if you have already done Chef Mickey's and your son is a huge Stitch fan then I would say Ohana's.

Ohana hosted the original resort character breakfast years ago.
It was then called Minnie's Menehune Breakfast.
We've had many wonderful character experiences there.

Good wait staff, a comfortable room, and a beautiful view of MK across the lake.

A - LO - HAAAAA!

Ohanas! We ate there this past week for the very first time (done dinner many times but not breakfast) and LOVED IT! This is coming from two adults...lol! It was very relaxed and it's served to you family style so no lines, etc. We had excellent interaction with the characters, we took many photos and had a visit from each numerous times. Plus the mickey waffles were great.

Ate here December 18, 2005. Saw Stich, Mickey, Pluto two times each. Lilo took pictures in the lobby.

We have been to both and if you are fans of Lilo and Stitch then go to 'Ohana for breakfast. We like just sitting and having all the food come to us. That way we don't have to time trips to the buffet or wait in more lines.

I enjoyed Ohanas more than CM. The food was excellent and more relaxing having it brought to the table than going back and forth to the buffet with young kids. IMO

Ohana, agree about the relaxing feel of having it brought to you. Also, the pineapple bread is there! Yum!

I'd say O'Hana also. The atmosphere is GREAT!!! The place is much smaller and more friendly (we feel) than CM. O'Hana is now going to be a "must do" for us. The characters each spend a good amount of time with each table and then they dance around the restaurant, inviting people to dance with them (but mostly inviting the kids). Stitch isn't the only one there. We went to see Pluto. Mickey was also there. Can't remember the rest. There were 4-5 characters there. The food is good also. I'd say for breakfast, O'Hana or Donald's Breakfastsaurus is the best of the ones we've been to (but haven't tried CP or 1900 PF yet.)

Chef Mickey's!

We've tried both and I definately prefer Chef Mickey's. The adults can partake in the napkin waving there, whereas the line parade and shakers at ohana is for kids only and if your kids are shy, like ours, they may not participate.

The other reason I prefer Chef Mickey's is I prefer the buffet over the family style serving. I can go up and get a little bit of many different things, and I can pick bacon or sausage cooked crispy or not. In the family style, we were given lots of mickey waffles and small amounts of sausage, bacon, eggs. To order a refill, took time. Wait for waitress, and then wait for it to come to table. Obviously this was also partly a slow server problem.

We'll definately be going back to Chef Mickey's.

We had our Christmas brunch at CM, and I wasn't impressed with either the food or the character interaction. The kids had a blast, but dh and I both agreed that we won't be returning to CM any time soon.

That being said...we haven't been to O'Hana for breakfast in a couple of years. The last time we visited, the character interaction was fantastic, but a lot can change in a very short period of time at WDW. We will be returning to O'Hana for breakfast during our upcoming March trip.

For quality of food, CP remains my favorite WDW breakfast buffet. Dh places it second after Boma.

I totally agree! We loved O'hana's

whichever you choose I am sure is going to be a wonderful high to end your trip on. We're going to try both this year, as we are loyal CP fans it's going to be interesting.

They are both great. Chef Mickey's will have more character interaction and has a more lively atmosphere. When we did Lilo & Stitch's bfast, we didn't even get to see Stitch!! He stayed up front and the line was always sooooo long or he was on breaks! That was the only bummer. I know you are interested in seeing him, though! If we REALLY cared we would have waited in line, but my girls were happy to see Lilo.

One of my pics is of my daughters and Lilo at Ohanas. :sunny:

Happy planning
