We really want a Mickey character experience. The breakfast items on the ohana menu look great, but I'm wondering if all that food before a day I the park will be too much. On the other hand, a lot of people have raved over their Chef Mickey's experience. Any thoughts? Mickey's one of our favorite characters!:smickey:

Disclaimer: I haven't been to Chef Mickey's.
However, I have been to Ohana which was FABULOUS! I find the family style so much more relaxing...we enjoyed the buffets we tried, but they were more chaotic and less family time. I don't think you'll be disappointed with Ohana. And FTR, I think I end up eating MORE at buffets - gotta try everything and then go for seconds on faves. ;)

We haven't been to Ohanas but Chef Mickey's is a lot of fun for breakfast and the food is good, too. It is a very fun atmosphere!:)

Someone correct me...but I don't think Mickey is at Ohana's, is he?

No, Mickey is not at Ohanas to my knowledge. We loved the atmosphere of Chef Mickeys, but that was about it. We really didn't care too much for the food. Ohanas Dinner was fantastic though!!! If you are really looking for Mickey You can also see him at Garden Grill I believe, and we found the food much better there, plus the resturant on a whole was neat!!! It ever so slowly rotates in a circle( you really don't notice you are moving) over looking the ride Living with the Land in Epcot!!!

yes Mickey is definitely at 'Ohanas. It's Mickey & Pluto, Lilo & Stitch. Breakfast there is awesome. We prefer to do dinner at Chef Mickeys, food is better and it's less hectic.

YES Mickey is at O"hanas!!!

You can't even compare the 2 because "O'hana's" would win--Hands Down!!

We've ate at both and if you looking for a fun pleasent Atmosphere
and good food then Definately "O'hana Best Friends Breakfast" is it.
The Characters are: Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch.
There is a Kids Parade around the Room with the Characters also.

For breakfast: Chef Mickey's wins hands down. Better food and better selection. The Ohana breakfast is family style. You can ask for refills from your server but its often slow. And the food never seemed that warm to me. And the selection is very limited (plain eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc.) Chef Mickey's is a huge buffet with many different selections. Much better food, IMHO.

For dinner, Ohana wins hands down, althought that is not a character meal. I recommend breakfast at Chef Mickeys and dinner at Ohana.

Fact: Mickey is defintiely at Ohana! Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch are the characters.

Opinion: Ohana is a better breakfast. The items on the menu were ones that our family enjoyed, and we felt the quality was better than the breakfast buffet at Chef Mickey's. I will agree that service can be a tad slow.

Suggestion: take a look at both menus, then decide for yourself. You'll find devotees of both breakfasts. I don't think you can go wrong with either. :)

Loooved O'hana's breakfast.
I don't say this lightly - O'hana's is the best breakfast food I've ever had.
Even if it weren't for the characters, I'd eat here.

When we went Mickey was there.

I like 'Ohanas better for breakfast. It's more relaxed, I like that they bring us the food. I also like the Hawaiian Roller coaster ride parade. But is also up to you.

Last Sept was the 1st time we ate at Chef Mickey's for breakfast & we loved it!! The food was great & the character interaction was very good. It instantly became one of our favorite places & we've already booked our ADR for this Sept. I can't comment on O' Hana's for breakfast since I haven't been.
