Chef Mickey's or Liberty Tree Tavern??

I think it depends on your situation. Are you taking little ones? If so, I think that LT isn't as lively as CM, but then again I haven't been. I have asked many people though, and most say the food is good at both, but CM is a little more "electric". I have a 4yo, so I think CM would be a slam dunk for him, esp since they have the sundae bar.

On the other side, I've also heard some people say that the buffets are a little more hectic. I THINK LT is a familly style thanksgiving meal. If so, that could play into your preference too.

Sorry, another thing. I called a few weeks ago to do our ADR for our trip. CM was completely booked - but I lucked out when I called back and got one when someone changed their mind. So if you haven't done ADR yet, and they are booked - check every so often. I think I called like 10 times, but I did get one finally. The CM even suggested to check back, so I don't think they minded at all.

We love both! Chef Mickey's is very lively and fun, more upbeat, but you do have to get up and go to the buffet. You also get a photo opportunity when you come in for your group.
LTT is fun also, a little more laid back. It is in the park, so no traveling to get there necessary if you are in MK that day. You are "served" family style and the characters come around. We did my dad's birthday party here, I called and ordered a cake ahead of time and they brought it to the table and sang to him. It was lots of fun!
You can't go wrong with either meal! We are actually doing both meals again next trip! :goodvibes

We liked CMs. We found that the buffets work well for DD...who tends to be a picky eater.

We go to LT every trip. We love buffets for breakfast (and with exception of Boma for dinner) but for most dinners we are so tired that we prefer to be served! They keep bringing you food too so if you want more than the average plate full, no problem.

And the characters circulate non-stop.

We did both... but we did Chef Mickey's for breakfast. It was great and we would do it again. We would like to try dinner there, so maybe next time.

We did dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern and it was pretty good. The characters made it worth it. The food was pretty good and the kids all ate well even though they didn't like everything that was served. It was nice family sit down and eat kind of place! This wouldn't be a have to do again, but if we had an opening for an extra place to go we would do it again.

Ok that being said, I guess I would say if only going to one, I would pick Chef Mickey's. They also take a picture of your family that you can buy there which I thought was pretty cool...... and yes we bought it!

We got great character pictures at both places, but there was more room for the kids to get up and stand by the characters at CM's as well!

Let us know what you decide!

Ok...I booked Chef Mickeys (can't believe I got in) and Crystal Palace. Nothing was working out time wise for LTT. But I am thrilled about CM, everyone raves about it. And the lady on the phone recommended Crystal Palace, so hopefully it's good (and fun) too.

UsNew2Disney2008 - yep, the munchkins are all going!! I'm all about the sundae bar! Wooo hooooo

Thanks everyone !

We have had good experiences over the years at both Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. I have to say CM's was a family favorite, from the monorail ride to the enviroment of the restuarant, to the sundae bar. Crystal Palace was very accomodating for us last time (we had to rush to catch a plane) our waitress got the characters to come and see ds quickly, and food was good, location was great - cant beat right by the castle.

We have never done LTT (at least in the last 15 years). We are trying it though in a few weeks! Sounds like it should be a great place to end our trip (its our last evening there).

Love all three of them - CM, Crystal Palace and LTT. CM and Crystal Palace are great if you have picky eaters. The buffet always offers chicken fingers and pizza (which all 3 kids will always eat!). DH and I visited without kids in September and ate dinner at LTT. We loved the food and the family style service. Not sure the kids would enjoy the food as much, but the characters were awesome. CM is definitely louder and busier, Crystal Palace not as bad, and LTT restful compared to the buffets! Any way you look at it, you'll be eating at WDW! Have fun.

We love both CM and LTT but I have to say that when it come down to dinner hads down LTT. We had dinner at CM but we didn't like it that much it was a late sitting but I liked the dinner at LTT better and it was seating for the same time on a different night. CM's breakfast now that's a different story we love their breakfast and go every trip.
