We've never been to Chef Mickeys', but I hear very split reviews about it on this board.

On the other hand, Garden Grill is our favorite...such a nice atmosphere, not crowded/chaotic, and good food.

That would be my vote!

I vote for Garden Grill, we havent been to Chef Mickeys but I have to believe that garden grill is smaller, less people = more character interaction. We had a great time at Garden grill, pluto came by 3x that I can recall being silly with DD.

We've been to both several times and hands down I'd go with the Garden Grill.
We ate at the Garden Grill October 9th and it was the best meal and service we had on that trip. The character interaction is the best of the 8 character meals that we've attended. We are going to both CM and GG at the end of this month, but I much prefer the GG.

I vote Garden Grill too, we did both and we like both but liked the laid back atmosphere of GG.

We have been to both as well and while Chef Mickey's is a fun atmosphere and good breakfast, I absolutely agree with Hanover. We had Garden Grill back in May and the characters were all over us the entire meal! We had an early dinner so it was not anywhere near full. At a couple of points, all four characters were at our table at the same time all goofing around with us! Chip & Dale were very mischievous, trying to steal our shopping bags and messing with our napkins and silverware. So much fun! It was the best character interaction of the 8 character meals we had on our trip! And we will definitely be going back.

ETA: the pic in my signature is from our Garden Grill dinner. . .the characters were really being silly! :teeth:

You will definitely get more face time with Pluto at Garden Grill. Chef Mickeys is wild! Fun, but kind of hurried. I have a girl who is 9 and she has always had this thing about seeing Pluto. She has never cared about the princesses, it is always about Pluto. :confused3 (We were at WDW in 2004 when Pluto was run over by a float :sad1: Had to be very careful as it was all over the news of course. Very sad.

Holy cow, what happened to poor Pluto????

DH nixed the Garden Grill. We're going to keep the CM ADR because it just fits our schedule soooooo much better.

There was an accident as the parade was coming from backstage into Frontierland. Pluto got a little too close to a float, which then hit him. It didn't happen out where the guests could see it (that could have been very traumatic to a lot of kids). Fortunately those kinds of accidents don't happen very often.

I'm glad to see Pluto is so popular. He's one of my favorites!
