Chef Mickeys or CRT

Which would you choose and why for my DW birthday? We are at discovery cove during the day and would like to look forward to a special dinner.

For your wife???? A special dinner would not be Chef Mickey's... it's nice, but also loud and people are always moving around going back to the buffet.
I'd do CRT or one of the nicer places like LeCellier or California Grill.

Sorry, should have mentioned my DS 15 & DD 13 will be with us, so special in the family sense.

Our Hands down favorite was BOMA. With a boy your son's age there will be pleanty to eat, unlike CRT where a big eater can be hungry. The food is several levels quality wise above CM.

The restaurant is more elegant than any other Buffet and there is something for everyone.

Do you have AP's? If not, you will have to use a park admission to eat at CRT, even though you are spending the day at Discovery Cove...which might not be so economical, especially for a family of 4. We love 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's or the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue for a celebration. CM is a buffet, though. I like "someone" to wait on me on my birthday!

Hello...unless you plan on spending time in MK I would definately choose a resort restaurant. That being said I would pick 'Ohanas or Boatwrights at POR. Fultons at DTD might be fun. I would check out the menus on allears and go from there. Have fun!

Between the two I would pick CRT just b/c of the Castle. Just being there can make any woman feel like a princess!

Chef Mickey's is a young child kind of family atmosphere, like 4,5,6 year old kids, not that older kids don't enjoy it, I just wouldn't call it a "special" dinner kind of place. CRT is lovely. All of our kids thought that was the best place we ate. They loved the atmosphere (minus the screaming kid a few tables over). We had more then enough to eat there (steak, potatoes, salad and dessert).
