DH and I want to do one of these as a late breakfast/brunch our last morning. Haven't done either in years. Which would you recommend?

Thanks

We have done both, but enjoyed CP more. Bigger place, more time between characters, didn't feel so rushed, a bit more selection of food. They are very similar though, so I might just choose based on the characters.

Crystal Palace. Made to order omlets, fruit, Pooh and Piglet waffles, breakfast lasagna, breakfast meats, scrambled eggs, etc. Excellent food in a light airly atmosphere with great character interaction. Plus you get one last view of the castle before you leave and if you make your ADR early enough you can get some great pictures of the castle with just the two of you in them=Priceless moment!

We've begun a tradition of O'hana our last morning breakfast. I know this is not one of the two that you posted, but a factor in our choice may impact yours. On our last day, we've typically eaten breakfast, and then, hit the road for home. We did not wish to use a day ticket to get into a park but wanted to get our last visit with Mickey.

If I were going into the parks anyway that last day, I'd probably go with CP as I'm a big Tigger fan. If I were not going into the park, I'd probably go with CM - also a last visit with Mickey.

My vote is for the Crystal Palace. I've dined at both, but really enjoy CP much better.

IMHO Crystal Palace is hands down the best of the two. I really don't think the food at Chef Mickeys is that great.

Thanks everyone for all the feedback.

I really don't know but IMHO I don't think you can go wrong with either if you are going for the atmosphere......We love both and the food is comparable so really is just a choice of characters. :)

I think it does depend on if you are going to a park that day. We have decided to go to Chef Mickey's on our last morning. We aren't heading to a park and want to see Mickey one last time before we leave. Also, matters on which characters you want to see. For my DSs, they want the chance to see Mickey before we climb in the car for the long drive home. They like Pooh but he doesn't scream Disney World!

i love chef mickeys
i know it can get bad reivews but we love it there and have never had a bad meal

I would say for us it is CP. I think it depends on what time you are leaving and if you want to go into the parks or not. :wizard:

I had to make the same decission for our Easter trip. I picked CP. That way we get to experiece MK one last time before heading home. :guilty: :guilty:

I am another Ohana lover. We always begin and end our trip with Ohana. Since Ohana is not an option, I will try to give you my opinion. We have only eaten at CM for dinner. As far as food goes, it's only o.k. for me but my sister loves it so it is a must for us. We have never eaten at CP as far as I can remember because we are not Pooh people. (we tend to prefer Mickey and his friends compared to the hundred acre woods gang) This year we have made ressies for CP. Truth be told, we made the ressies because of all the great feedback this board has given on CP. I also like the fact that you can go into the park before opening and have your pictures made undisturbed in front of the castle!!! We are so looking forward to CP. the food looks great and the reviews are amazing. I may be jumping the gun by telling you to pick CP because we have yet to eat there, but I really don't think my friends here on the boards would give bad advice. There seems to be an overwhelming love for CP here!!!!

Also depends on whether you want to head back into the park or not. CM is great for character interaction since all of the "main" Dis characters are there, but I think the food leaves a lot to be desired. If you're going for the food go to CP. The character interaction is good there as well.

For our last day we will be eating at CM since we will not have any more days
on our hopper tickets. :cool1:

We love both of these restaurants. However, if I had to choose one for breakfast, it would be CP hands down. Two words--BREAKFAST LASAGNA!! That is DH and my favorite dish at WDW. We are not morning folks, but we always get up early once for an early ADR at CP for the above mentioned early entrance to MK and the Main Street pictures in an empty park.
